The prix fixe menu is offered for $130 and the pairings are available for $65, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Located in the West Loop in the basement of Kumiko, Kikko offers a unique perspective on the notion of a bar, through a remarkable experience of dining and drinking, to Chicago.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kikko!
Great place "hidden" inside a basement with amazing food, drinks and service. The entire experience is fit for a foodie, drinkee or anyone who loves a Japanese style experience in the heart of Chicago.
Awesome food and great people
Wonderful early evening dinner. Well thought out menu apart from the first couple of dishes. Great pairing of cocktails and food.
Food was amazing - one of the best tasting menus in Chicago - highly recommend the cocktail pairing. I’ll definitely be returning.
This is by far the most unique omakase experience you’ll get anywhere in the U.S. (I can’t speak for outside the U.S., esp Japan). BUT, if I had to guess, this is probably just as unique as any omakase experience in Japan. The beverage menu and choices is incredible. Chef Mariya puts together the perfect bites to go with each beverage (BK’s got nothing on Chef!). And every pairing has its own personality. Patrick makes excellent cocktails and explains everything quite eloquently. Chef Emery was also very knowledgeable and explained everything in such a way that was neither pedantic nor arrogant. I love the downstairs space - so very intimate and Japanese. Julia, Kikko is magical. I can’t more highly recommend it!
The overall experience at Kikko was great. The ambiance, the service, the artistry and composition of the food, as well as the cocktail pairings. It was all thoroughly enjoyable. The only complaint was that it was over too soon!
It was a birthday celebration for my date. Everything actually was extremely beautiful tasty. But for the money I spent I still left hungry😆
Delicious, tasty food. Unfortunately, it feels like they’re solving for a profit margin and, as a guest, I didn’t feel quite as spoiled as I expected for the price (after tip, about $550 for two, with the cocktail tasting). For example - you get A5 wagyu, but three tiny slivers; in fact, the smallest portion of that particular meat I’ve ever been served. Similarly, if you want to have a cocktail, the only choice is the $65 tasting. Again, it’s good, but doesn’t feel like a great value by the time you’re done. I’m happy I went, but I walked out hungry - for more food and a more luxurious experience.
We had requested a vegetarian omokase and were not disappointed. Not only was the food amazing, but both the spirit-free and the cocktail/sake pairings worked perfectly.
Wonderful tasting course experience. Each course was superbly balanced and not too big. Loved the ambiance and gracious service. A perfect celebratory meal.
Overall, the food was fine, but super expensive and we left hungry. We went to Frontera afterwards and had to order real dinner.
Very cool space. Wonderfully balanced food. Fantastic hospitality
Excellent food but dinning environment too dark and value for money is low.
An extremely special experience with top notch drinks, food, and service all done in a traditional Japanese style omakase bar seating. Our only gripe is it’s pretty dimly lit and we would have loved to see everything more clearly. Chef Mariya was warm and happy to answer any of our questions - plus a darn good chef.
Very good menu and pairing program. I feel the cost to value was a little off, but overall very enjoyable
Fantastic food, intimate setting, and great decor make for a unique and excellent dining experience.
This restaurant was not even open yet! I was seated at the parent restaurant and served a “meal” that was seven morsels of food. My understanding was a full meal at the new restaurant. Didn’t get it. False advertising!
Absolutely fabulous!!! Proprietor, mixologist extraordinaire, Julia Momose, establishes a true Japanese Omakase dining experience, that is a gift to the five senses. From the time you enter the non obtrusive entryway, until the time you palate indulges in the final portion of the last course! I was with a very discerning friend of mine, from NYC, and he was highly impressed! Each Omakase course was paired with Julia's own personal libation pairing and even took note of what our tastes were of certain spirits, in order to pair a special cocktail or two within the courses. Atmosphere is very relaxed but upbeat with a great clientele infused into the quaint dining area, which is encompassed into the bar/lounge, with cool, infectious jazz pipping overhead. Attention to detail is what places the overall experience to a night that you will be talking about for a long, long time! A future note. They are expanding their Omakase to seven courses, with opening a new ten seating area downstairs. The upstairs bar/lounge will now be available for walk-ins and merriment. All around fabulous experience for either a date night, close friend(s) gathering or just because you deserve a night out!!!
Fantastic! But expensive. Great service. Wonderful plates.
We had the omakase dinner for two on a Sunday evening. Outstanding food paired with sake and cocktails, and a polished experience from start to finish. The chef is a master of textures and flavors, with dishes having just the right amount of crunch, salt, etc. Not only were the cocktails delicious and tailored to our tastes, they were portioned out so that one isn't overwhelmed by alcohol by the end of the meal, which can be a real danger with pairings. My only advice to others is that while the dishes are intensely flavorful, the portions are restrained, so if you have a big appetite, you may wish to have snacks before or bonus dessert afterwards (although the milk toast with fermented honey ice cream and shaved white truffles is a hard act to follow...).
Beautiful menu with drinks thoughtfully paired. Service was great & our server made perfect drink/cocktail recommendations based on what we like. Definitely worth the spend.
Two friends and I came for the experience and were not disappointed. The bartenders and hosts were attentive and friendly. The drinks are interesting and complex. The food was mostly delicious.
I'm so glad we made it to the Omakase. From silky smooth salmon to the incredible sweet-savory milk toast, every bite was a winner. The drink pairings were perfect, made especially for us based on our tastes. I had a couple of light alcoholic drinks and then a few non-alcoholic. Each one was innovative and unique.
