6 sushi nigiri and 1 spicy salmon roll
12 slices Chef's choice
Black tiger prawn tempura
Delicious and quite expensive food. Service initially slow then suddenly everything started to happen.
The ambience is relaxed and appealing and we really enjoyed it until about 9-9.30pm when it suddenly became very cold and we definitely got the impression they wanted to close and for us to leave, which we did (it was a Sunday and perhaps they close early..)
Friendly service, great atmosphere and wonderful sushi.
Beautifully prepared food. Friendly staff. Easy access
Go here if you are a fan of fusion Japanese. To be fair to them I prefer classic Japanese and it wasn’t ideal for my palate. Also I’ve been to other fusion Japanese in a similar price bracket which I would choose over Kazu. My biggest issue at this restaurant was that they tried to oversell. Elsewhere I would have happily ordered more once I knew the food is on par. I think this restaurant is definitely not one I will return to sadly. Good food does not need to be oversold. I rest my case.
Sushi variety was limited. We expected more options. Many kinds of sushi we not in the menu.
Very good food! Definitely worth a visit……………………..
Fantastic experience. Me and my partner love to visit here once a month! Super friendly head chef! Will always return
I think it’s one of the best Japanese restaurant in London.😊
The food was simply perfect. The way the flavours within each dish complemented each other was incredible. So fresh tasting too.
Good menu, some dishes were a little expensive, but that's usual with Japanese food. The ambience was ok earlier on.
Very poor service, was literally kicked out of our table at exactly 1.5 hour mark with the reason being, there were people queueing, waiting for our table. I was told to bring all my items with me to the loo as someone else needed the table urgently and was rushed to pay up.
I respect the fact that tables have 1.5 hour time limit and it’s reasonable to ask us for the table back if there were people waiting for it. But... There were a few other empty tables and no one was queuing, so was really rather silly to lie!
Food wise was ok, but definitely not worth the price (and service) at all.
Great place for fresh sashimi. Fish is literally melting inside your mouth 😺🍣💙 Wague skewers were delicious as well. Best octopus I’ve tried in London. Definitely I’ll come back again there.
Located on Charlotte street within a very unassuming building, lies a sushi / Japanese gem of London.
The staff welcome you politely and seat you efficiently before drinks arrive and you are explained the menu.
The open kitchen makes for a bit of interesting entertainment and the food doesn’t take long to arrive. I have been twice now and both times had the set sashimi meal at lunch - this is delightful, fresh and light. Comes with a salad, rice and soup.
The best review I can give is to say I would and will be recommending it and I will surely be a local there myself given my office is located just a few doors away.
Amazing chef. Lovely food great people. Sushi was exceptional. I've visited twice. Once for my anniversary and one for my first date with my partner. I will be visiting again and again!
We were seated quickly but had to wait a little while to be served. The food was absolutely delicious. We had sushi and salmon teriyaki and the chicken gyozas plus mochi and a doriyaki to finish off with. But we felt rushed to leave our bill was brought to the table and then we were prompted to pay. We were only an hour and 45 mins and trying to have a business meeting, so was tricky.
I hope they don’t do that in the evening as it could ruin a date.
Great for business dinners........................
Great service and friendly. Good very nice
we visited this restaurant after WestEnd show. Good quiet location and nice interior design. The tables are a bit small but service was really good. Wines were relatively expensive. We ate fried oyster, tempura and 2 types of maki sushi with white wine. All very nice. House special maki sushi was not a traditional one but quite inventive and really tasty. Staff were all friendly.
Excellent food and drinks.
Great as always, fatty tuna, butterfish and seared salmon nigiri are must-haves
Love the food here. Really consistent quality, but a bit pricey and can be comparable to some of the other high-end Japanese restaurants.
good food, lovely polite and very honest staff. good atmosphere we enjoyed it.
Best sushi in London (and we’ve tried many!)
Nice meal. Wasn't busy when we went.
Really memorable and unusual food made with best ingredients.
Service and food were great
The restaurant was almost empty and silent most of the time (no background music), so it was quite awkward. The food was tasty, but not a great value for money. Friendly staff and good cocktails.
Very authentic Japanese food, attentive and friendly service in a relaxed but smart setting. Good value for money for the quality, especially the lunch sets.
Lovely food and service
£200 for 6/10 food. Can do better.
Lovely, friendly atmosphere and attention from staff. Had omakase sashimi which was delicious and wonderfully prepared then some recommendations after. Some reviews mention feeling hurried to finish - not at all the case for us, we were running late and let them know and still had a nice relaxed couple of hours at the table and could have stayed longer had we wished. The meal was excellent value for the quality and the service - highly recommended and will go back for sure.
Amazing food, definitely worth its value
Servicing could be a little better
The presentation of the rolls and quality of them wasn’t great, expensive but guess that is also relative to the area
Thank you for dining with us. We want to apologise for the issue you had with our quality of sushi. We want to provide our customers with only the highest quality of food and service and we have worked hard ensure that this is improved upon. We hope to see you again so that you may enjoy our sushi once more and be impressed with our changes.
We had high hopes but the restaurant was over booked. We sat for almost 40 minutes before we even got water or the sake we ordered. Really haphazard service. Food was good but not as good as I was expecting. Sophie helped us a lot even though we got some strange service - decently priced bottle of sake on little to no ice. Sushi was fresh though.
We sincerely apologise for the experience you have had. When lockdown was eased and indoor dining was allowed, we had an unexpected rush of customers. This had made the previous few weeks unexpectedly busy and we had a few issues with food quality and service. However, this does not justify the experience you have had. We have looked into this matter and have retrained our staff to provide only the highest quality of food and service to our valued customers. - KAZU Team
Excellent service, delicious food, beautiful small restaurant (great for a date might, and central location.
Dinner meal, but the Resturtant is very small in size. And they were so busy service was not that great, only had a starter and left..however this is due to the constraints of lockdown and everyone wanting to get out (hopefully)
Thank you so much for dining with us. We appreciate your understanding of the situation. Once indoor dining was allowed we experienced an unexpected number of customers so we were unable to provide the same quality of service. We invite you to come back as we have worked hard to resolve these issues.
