At first glance it looked like the whole French thing was a bit over the top however the food was really the star here The escargot were some of the best we have had and the main courses of rabbit and duck were faultless The excellent wine list, reasonably priced, with a heavy focus on French offerings rounded the whole experience up Service was attentive and friendly and pace of service was European perfect Definitely going back

Our first time here, celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. So glad we did, French cousin, open and scratch kitchen. Great food, service, ambiance. Impressive wine menu. The only "complaint" we have is that it quite loud inside. We were hoping to have a quieter table but I don't think they have this area but I could be wrong. This is definitely one of our new favorite places to eat and not just for special occasions. Executive chef and Sommelier conversed with us multiple times throughout our evening. Lots of attention given by the bussers and servers. We look forward to our next visit, I"m sure coming up soon! Matthew and Karolyn Reynolds

Great ambience. Really enjoyed the cocktails! Apps were very small (especially for the price) especially the charcuterie servings. We all enjoyed our main courses and desserts- thanks for a great evening!

Went here last night for Mother’s Day. It was busy but service was still fast and excellent. The food was amazing and so was the lavender margarita. What I loved the most though was the fact that it was casual but still fine dining from the food to the ambiance. Our daughter goes to college at Winston Salem uni and this will be on our go to spots whenever we are in town.

Went for the first time for Mothers Day. Food was unexpected twists on old favorites, service was attentive without being hovering, ambience had a nice fresh vibe. Definitely would go back!

After being seated we waited for about 20 minutes until we got to order. It took a long time for the food to come out and two of the meals were forgotten and not given to us until 20 minutes later. The grits were very salty. The waitress poured too much water in the cup and it overflowed and spilled everywhere. We were only checked on a couple of times. The French toast and ambiance was good but those were the only redeeming qualities.

Went here for our 6 year anniversary for the first time. Excellent location with a nice feel inside. Worked great for a romantic date night, but could also be a great “casual” meal as well. Love the informal “bar” area is there but separated from the formal dining. Top notch service and great food/drinks. Good stuff.

It's a buffet which is hard. The staff was friendly, kind and overall just GREAT> Made the experience. I didn't like the variety of food I thought it could have been better curated. I will come back and try regular menu.

I loved everything about this place! It’s in a hotel but it doesn’t feel like a hotel restaurant. Service is excellent and the waiter was awesome in recommending what to eat for a first time French restaurant goer! Will definitely return!

We had a lovely meal here while visiting from out of town. It was our first time dining in an actual restaurant in a very long time. The food was great, but what really blew up away was the service. Everyone on the floor was so nice and helpful. Even wait staff passing by would smile. We felt some welcomed and it really took the edge off our pandemic anxiety. Thank you!

Very nice experience. Located inside an old downtown hotel, the decor is classic. The staff were great and the food was exceptional. I definitely recommend going.

Went for Sunday brunch and the interior, service, and food were a pleasant surprise! The food was really good and I love the French bistro feel of the interior. Our server was also really great! No complaints at all!

The service took a really long time. We probably waited 50 minutes from the time we ordered to when we got our food. I don’t understand why because it was an omelette and a cheeseburger and only half the tables were full. I was expecting more from a French restaurant. We got the typical French service, but not the typical French quality of food. The omelettes were made in the typical French way, but they were not served hot to us. You could tell they have been sitting under a heat lamp for at least 10 minutes. I can’t believe that they serve wine by the glass for all their bottles. That means most of the wine have been opened at least a full day before. And with those high prices for mediocre wine I would hate to be served a glass that has lost its character. I feel this restaurant can do a lot better and I would like to come back one day if they can turn it around. One of the first things they can do, is stop serving wine by the glass for everything on the list. They would be better off serving wine by the glass from a quality boxed wine. Many restaurants in France do this now which keeps the quality high and the prices nice for everyday kind of wine.
