   We love this restaurant … it’s our local and we enjoy walking up and back. Having said that, the large car park behind is very convenient. The service is always good and friendly and the food never disappoints - the classic dishes are well executed and simply taste great. Please consider opening on a Sunday for lunch. 😊

   We had a lovely meal with friends. Did not appreciate being hassled twice from 7pm for an 8pm booking when had already confirmed the day before and I was going to be charged if I did not turn up. totally off putting!

   Great ambience and atmosphere, very cosy with the open fire on a winter's evening. The service was excellent and as always the food was amazing. I had the lamb shoulder which melted in the mouth, followed by a delicious Tiramisu,

   Yummy food, catering for a big group some with allergies. Prompt friendly service. Even gave a pizza for a birthday celebration. Lovely setting in an old school.

    The pizzas are alway very nice. I was disappointed to read the sign in the front window indicating that there was no byo wine. Not sure if that is a limited thing to certain days or every day.

    We are new to the area and were thrilled to find this wonderful restaurant. Sydney restaurants do not do winter well. The cooling breezes of summer, chill to cold drafts in winter. However, Karoo & Co The Old School has this sorted. Lovely old world charm, an open fire place and warm and attentive staff. The menu is delightful and there is something for everyone. My only suggestion would be, I had the crumbed cutlet and it was a little bit dry. This could be remedied by half a lemon served on the side as well as a little bit more generous serve of the delicious Aioli. My friend had the Risotto and said it was gorgeous. We finished the meal with a perfectly brewed coffee and Prana Chai and complementary Tim Tams. How civilised! I had the Chai and it was a cup of soothing happiness. Thank you. We will be back.

    We sat on the enclosed veranda which was very nice. The room was warm with the heater on. Food and service was excellent and value for money. Highly recommended.

    Food was great, good ambience and not to noisy. However service was a tad slow to begin with, it is BYO at $12 a bottle and you should take your own as the wine list is ordinary. I recommend Karoo & Co for good food, take your own wine and be ready to order the first time they come around to speed up the food delivery.

    Food was very good although a little expensive. If you order bread, main meals and drinks for a family of 5 it adds up . You could think of expanding the kids menu so it comes with a drink for example. Small little changes help On service the wait staff were excellent but clearly overrun. It looked like you had two people managing all tables which is a stretch for anyone. Appreciate staff shortages due to COVID etc but helping your team is a consideration in terms of back up staff. Impact for us as customers was longer wait times for food and drink

    It is more of a pizza place than a restaurant - the ‘Karoo’ is somewhat misleading. The pizzas do look amazing and our starter was great. The steak was supposed to be medium and was overdone and at best well done.

    After recommending Karoo to some girlfriends I took them there for a birthday celebration. We ordered a series of appetisers and a pizza to share. After waiting an hour the waiter told us that it would be at least another 10 minutes before our food came. When it finally arrived it all came together including the pizza. Some of the appetisers like the burrata could have easily been served while we were waiting for the rest and the pizza should have been served separately after the appetisers. It was simply not good enough and I was embarrassed to say the least. To add to this there was repeated noise/crashing of plates/glasses coming from the bar area. My husband and I have always been happy with the restaurant in the past. I doubt whether my girlfriends will return again.
