Really genuine and welcoming service team, great food from a wonderful indigenous chef who uses her skills to perfection and giving a touch of indigenous tradition to her dishes, and a fabulous bartender who mixes amazing cocktails! Definitely recommended when in Byron.
Very disappointed with our dinner. The starter of roti stuffed with saltbush was stodgy. The gnocchi with prawns was very oily and contained hardly any prawns. The salad was too salty. The hostess was offhand. In addition waitress walked pasted our table a number of times and despite it containing empty wine glasses she did not ask if we would like another drink. Left the restaurant feeling hungry and ripped off.
The halloumi was delicious. The calamari were fine. The stuffed roti was underwhelming, under seasoned and we could not taste the saltbush. The venue is pretty and the ambience is pleasant. Our cocktails were good.
I’d return for a drink and carefully chosen food.
One of the best meals my wife and I have enjoyed in a long time...every course from the iced native mint tea to the damper, macadamia hummus, salt and pepperberry calamari, grilled prawn, and Karkalla curry was outstanding. Our only regret...no room left for dessert!

Erm. Bizarre. Booked via open table for a lunch even confirmed and received a confirmation text. Battled the traffic to be there on time only to find restaurant shut. Boo. Not a great experience.
This place is a must do. Food is great and very different to the rest of the menus around the area. Local produce, great flavours - just awesome. Staff are super friendly. Just love this place
