We went there for brunch thought it was overpriced. Not a good value for the food. I thought not enough choice. Not enough portions.

Outstanding meal, all dishes on point. I just think it can get a bit loud, however food worth the noise. One of my favorites.

Busy Friday night, but our 8pm table was ready and service was attentive without rushing us. Mezze shared between three diners -- the lamb is outstanding! Delicious Greek red wine recommended by our server.

This is a restaurant I love and have been to many times but it seems something has changed. The falafel weren't as good, almost tasted like a Southwest flavor instead of Mediterranean. The cauliflower dish was served cold!!?? And the flavors were changed. They used to be amazing, why mess with it if it was perfect. We decided to skip the dessert course because we didn't want to be let down even more. I still love Mike Isabella restaurants but maybe I'll take a break from this one.

The restaurant was ok. Average. At best. Our server Lilly was competent. The auxiliary staff was stoic.
The Kitchen was active but inefficient.
The managers were preoccupied with everything but the flow of the business and patron’s needs.
The food was average. Greek food doesn’t need any type of spin or twist. It is amazing on its own merit. Swordfish was charred. Branzino was more like a fish soup.
The salad was good.
Drinks were average.
Dessert was very good and made up for some of the inadequate nature of the preparation of the mezedes.
Skip this place. Too many good restaurants to waste your time and palate on this place.

Our experience at Kapnos is mixed. The six of us had a lovely time, food was tasty. However, we were not aware that it was more of a Tapas setting. When seeing the prices on the menu (i.e., Shrimp Orozoto {$15), I thought that it was a meal. Out came 5 shrimp for a table of six. As an ala cart item, way too pricey. I would recommend to people only if they know this is basically a tapas restaurant and prepare them for the prices!!!!

Unfortunately we sat (outside) near a group table with unruly children doing horseplay to the point of almost bumping into our table. Hard to enjoy dinner in those conditions. Other than that, great food and service.

The restaurant has a very nice menu. Friendly hostess and servers.

Plenty of protein and vegetable options on the menu.
Unfortunately, the gyros contained VERY small portions (2-3 ounces) of protein. Most of the meal is a large piece of Naan. Very few vegetables.

This is a good pit stop if you are in a hurry, or are socializing. It is not a good destination for conversation or a business meal. Very loud music and surroundings.

Great service. Lamb and brussel sprouts were excellent. Did not like the salmon collars, but the wait staff cheerfully took it back and we had the wonderful pork.

We had such nice night with a friends ! Service was very good! Place is lovely. We ordered lamb shoulder for the table, - it was little dry and served with quinoa side dish not a rice like before, but small appetizers were absolutely delicious, and we tried almost All of them. Great place to get a tasty food and great service around Arlington!

Great place for Greek food although be related that everything might be covered in dill! Fresh seafood and the eggplant fries are especially delightful - cocktails might be small but they provide a huge wallop / great for visitors to NSF (across the street)

Great service and great food! I've enjoyed the variety of several, delicious small plates to share at dinner on multiple occasions but decided to try a brunch. The eggplant dip (melitzanosalata), omelet (with spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese), stone oven baked eggs with lamb, and the lamb gyro were outstanding! The baklava french toast, however, was disappointing (more like a piece of cake than real French toast).

Third time dining here, once for lunch. Enjoyed the flatbread and spread and the Greek Caesar. The crispy eggplant was ok but wouldn't order it again nor the octopus which had an odd taste though my partner liked it. First time we dined here we shared the branzino which was delicious. I think we might do that again instead of ordering all mezzas.

Delicious and generous portions. Only concern was that people delivering stuff to tables took food and drink to wrong tables or were searching for correct tables (maybe be we were outside?). Other than that, really good and will return.

We waited over 45 minutes for our 8:00 reservation for 3, even as others were getting seated, and when we finally got seated it was at the worst table available with a server computer station on top of our booth. Then they rushed us to order, rushed our food out (except for a couple things that never showed up until we asked later) and then ignored us. I could go on...Manager never came by to check on us despite bad start to the evening, though he did comp some drinks and spreads at the start. Lamb was tough and overcooked. Other things were ok. Food was not worth the wait or the price. Won't go back again.

We loved our experience here last weekend! Megan was our server and she was absolutely fabulous. We ordered 6 items to share and probably should've gone with 5, as the portions were more generous than we thought. Loved the Roasted Eggplant dip, the Grilled Octopus, the Zucchini Fritters, and the Roasted Lamb. Even though we were full, we decided to try the Tahini Mousse for dessert. I knew my husband would like it as he is a big fan of sesame seeds, but I was blown away. A great, not-too-sweet dessert option. We were also delighted to see that that had some choices of Amaro on the dessert beverage menu. A very nice way to end the meal!

The only negatives were that some of the expediters were so quick in their delivery of the food and the description that it was quite difficult to understand what they were saying... especially since we are not terribly familiar with the Greek food names. Also, the napkin was very, very linty. Perhaps it was new and hadn't been washed yet? My pants were very fuzzy following the meal and I had to work to look presentable for the theatre following dinner.

Kapnos is a fun place serving good food at reasonable prices. We have been there several times and have not been disappointed. The only drawback is that it is quite noisy. I would recommend this restaurant for a fun casual dinner.

I really enjoy Kapnos Taverna. The setting is casual, the staff super attentive (but not intrusive) and the food--well that's why we're here in the first place. I've been here for dinner on many occasions and love it. This was my second visit for lunch and it just keeps getting better. I enjoyed their x-press lunch menu--salad and a chicken gyro. The chicken had a smoky flavor, moist throughout and tasty. My companion had the lamb gyro--no ground meat here--hefty chunks of lamb meat roasted to perfection. The potato side dish is extra spicy and delicious. You can dine outside in the shade throughout the lunch hour. The wine and drink menu is extensive. This is not an inexpensive lunch however you will enjoy the freshest, most flavorful and delicious meal you had in a long time.

Celebrating a friends birthday, which was made clear on both my reservation and to the wait staff. No mention of it.
The cauliflower was raw with something akin to French dressing strewn on the top. It was sent back. The other food was OK, but didn't wow me as it had when Kapnos Taverna first opened.
The restaurant was empty and we were seated at a 2-topper, as was every other customer that followed. Hence, an empty middle of the restaurant and no privacy for the four or five parties dining there on a Monday night.
This was at least my 10th visit to Kapnos and/or Kapnos Taverna. I'm going to start eating elsewhere.
