Lovely dinner while overnighting at the Hyatt Place. Just 300m - easy. Also the bus is just one stop.
Excellent Indian restaurant with very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent value for money and close to Heathrow Airport hotels.
We have eaten at Kaniz (5x) with family every time we’ve visited over the last 4 years. Food is great and able to take large parties.
It is perfectly convenient for our last night before flying out of Heathrow.
It is a 5 minute walk from the Hounslow Hyatt or a short cab ride from any airport hotel.
Service and food is consistently great.
I booked this restaurant as a treat for my daughters birthday. Walking in I thought I had picked a lovely restaurant until we ordered our food!! For starters we ordered the mixed grill expecting it to come out sizzling,, quite baffled we continued eating but were very still surprised. As other customers turned up we noticed they had ordered the same mixed grill which came out hot and sizzling with smoke as we should have expected ours but when we questioned the waiter who is the bald one just fobbed us off by saying oh it sometimes doesn’t come out like that and that you can get it next time. I was absolutely stunned by his response but because it was my daughters special day I continued with the night. We ordered our main meal, which was makhani daal, okra. Lamb tikka masala and butter chicken. Now I am not sure what this restaurant thought that maybe we have never eaten Indian food before as there food was just not up to standards , the butter chicken was sweet, the daal had no spice, and the lamb just was served with more onions on the platter then lamb itself. The peshwari naan that one person in the family ordered was served burnt and when I said to the waiter about this he was not even apologetic about it. I was left feeling like I had committed a crime by asking him to replace this. Eventually it was taken away and she was served with another one.
The service was terrible right from the start to the end of the night, trying to get the waiters attention when they should be seeing if you were ok.
This place is more catered for the English people who like less spicy items not for Indians who like it spicy. I wouldn’t recommend my friends & family to come here. HS
Great good reasonably priced we went two nights together well impressed.
Service was excellent and things arrived very quickly. Best I have seen in any restaurant.
Drinks arrived on time, big ice bucket and water bottles. Really the service impressed me.
With regards to the food I didn’t feel it was that good, I also felt they maybe using too much colouring as my chicken vindaloo came out very very red! But the taste was good. Was disappointed that they didn’t have green chillies on the curry and probably only used powered chillies.
The fish was ok and had green chillies and must commend them on low salt. Because I felt the salt was perfect, however watched others adding salt which is good. As you can never reverse high salt
Overall great pleasant experience however the tastiness of the food I felt average.
as showing reviews we went for dinner but not any special food that feel extra ordinary.
Very good food try it. Particularly like the Baltic almost as good as the ones in the Midlands
My friends were marooned in a dreary Heathrow hotel after a cancelled flight. We searched Opentable for a decent meal in a warm, friendly environment.... not easy around there, especially on a Sunday evening.
From the moment we walked in until we (eventually) departed, Kaniz was a delight. Friendly staff; freshly made food; just the overall ambience we were hoping for.
Instead of just ordering from the menu we talked to our waiter about what we liked and asked for recommendations. That led to a fresh fish dish (Tilapia), a complex, aromatic chicken dish and several vegetables; I don't remember the exact names or ingredients. The Tilapia dish was a bit too spicy for one of us, but perfect for me.
For us, Kaniz transformed an otherwise depressing evening in to a nice, warm, uplifting culinary and social experience.
It's very uplifting to discover a team of nice people working hard to deliver a great service, especially in the most unexpected places. Delayed and cancelled flights at Heathrow may be inevitable, but bad food and service are not. I hope that the hospitality at Kaniz will continue to uplift travellers and locals for many years to come :)
Some food was very good, the chicken tika a bit dry.
First time visiting this restaurant - very impressed with the food and service. Butter chicken is awesome!!!
It was convenient to be able to walk from our Heathrow hotel Hyatt Place but I was so disappointed in the food I ordered which was Butter chicken which is heavenly when I order it in one of the many Indian restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their version was sweet and no detectable spices so I’d say try the Chicken tikka or something else, my husband was pleased with his Tikka lamb, which the waitress recommended, I wish she had recommended something different for me.
I was alone staying near Heathrow and found this place on Yelp. I order lamb tikka masala and was very happy with it. It is a nice small place near the airport.
Excellent food Staff were very accommodating excellent service Airline discount we had a lovely evening
Booked as a final meal before retiring g from an office along the road.
Easy to book.
Great service and delicious food.
Top lokatie.
Food was tasty enough however parking is a problem and also service was slow. Took a long time for food to come out.
Went here while staying overnight near heathrow - was not bad. Staff very friendly but did not understand pricing on the bill as it was handwritten. Pappadums cost us double than what we were charged on the bill. Did not say anything as it was a question of £2 but still. Not cool!-
This restaurant is near the airport hotels at London Heathrow and is an easy walk from Hyatt Place. We have been there twice while overnighting between London and the US. Both times the food was really good and the menu serves vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Would highly recommend the Brinjal bhaji dish as well as the Tandoori dishes. Overall, good attentive service and moderately priced.
Very good food, service OK, would like a better wine option
Was staying at a hotel near Heathrow airport and tried out the restaurant as an alternative to the usual bland, expensive fare on offer at the hotel. It was a great choice - the food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. My only criticism if anything, the portions were too big and we left quite a bit of food which seemed wasteful.
Have been here a few times and have always found Kaniz to be friendly. The food is delicious and is served relatively quickly. The service is good and there is always someone around to help - they don't hover around you, so give you your own space and privacy - yet being close enough to get you something if you need it.
Reasonable priced, would definitely recommend and would go again.
Everything we ordered and had was bad we will not be going their again. Stay away 08/09/2018. 🇦🇺”
The Owner has been present during every visit: Kaniz shines with impeccable service, wonderful food, and very nice ambience!
Very good restaurant near Heathrow. Walking distance from Heathrow hotels. Very good Indian cuisine, large menu. Excellent service. Quiet ambiance. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Great Indian restaurant, very spicy food!! Loved it!!
Ideal location when staying over night in the area for flights the following morning. Excellent quality meal at sensible price, excellent service. Restaurant extremely busy and advise always try and book ahead.
Table booked for 19:30, it was fairly quiet when we arrived but restaurant filled up as the evening progressed. Helpful staff showed us promptly to our table, left menus and took drinks orders. We were giiven plenty of time to make our choices and when ordered the food arrived in reasonable time.
Food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyable. The Navrattan Balti had tender lamb and chicken as well as prawn that had not gone rubbery through over cooking. Wife stated that her Shashlic was flavoursome also. Clean plates by the end of the meals says it all.
Plenty of time to digest before we asked to the bill, which was good value. Overall a great meal!
If you are staying at any of the hotels on Bath Road before flying the next day, I strongly recommend the walk to this place.
Will certainly visit again when flying from Heathrow.
Very good food service is ok close our hotel Premier Inn à little bit expensive
The food was tasty as always. The beer is expensive at £6.50 a bottle though. Didn't recognise any of the staff on this particular evening so unsure if it has changed hands? My partner and I are frequently given a 10% discount as airline crew but we didn't get our discount this time but we didn't create a fuss. Will return as the food is good .
Curry’s were run tomatoes and some meat
The food was very good as was the service and atmosphere. The only BIG issue is that there is absolutely no parking facilities.
Diabolical, food was cold and didn’t taste very good
Very close to Terminal 5. Nice atmosphere and good service. Outstanding food, probably the best Indian in a long time! Even for London great Indian cuisine.
Good food, good service, touch expensive, overall enjoyable
No parking available and food wasn’t great for either....
Staff not too friendly either.....
Won’t go there ever!!
Great food great service
Last night curry before our return to the US. Great food and service and very close to LHR T5.
Visited as staying at the Hyatt Place, 6 minutes walk away. Easy to make a booking through Opentable. Warm welcome by friendly staff. The menu is extensive but not overly expensive. The chutneys served with the poppadoms are delicious, especially the coconut. The chef's special garlic dishes are fabulous - recommend the jalfrezi. The chicken bhuna & sag paneer have great flavours. If staying at Heathrow, this is a must visit!
Excelente de los mejores restaurantes indios en los que he comido.
