   Food was outstanding. Could not fault, unbelievable talent coming from the kitchen. Chicken and mushroom masala was the STAND OUT, roasted eggplant as perfect, seafood pasta so delicious - the bisque was the perfect balance with some nice smokiness. Huge servings. Unfortunately the service was lacking. Staff were nice but not attentive, dirty entrees plates left on table, cutlery not renewed for main course, had to call over for order to be taken, meals not checked after trying and had to go to register to settle the bill. Do expect more for service when ordering 3x courses and $40 /main. Still would love to return again to Julio's.

   Only concern was with my dish which was the spaghetti with clams had a good amount of sand in it which was unpleasant. And the pasta was all clumped together. Otherwise great venue look and space for a date.

   We booked a am breakfast table but it wasn’t set up when we arrived. We had to sit separate from our kids. My daughter got a big caterpillar in her strawberries from the buffet fruit platter and dirt, it appeared the fruit hadn’t been washed. Our adult breakfast were really nice though and the coffee was good. We couldn’t get the buffet coffee machine for work though so had to order from the restaurant which cost extra.

   We had a relaxing Sunday dinner for two. The restaurant was not very crowded, which made the whole experience worthwhile. The staff was very friendly and helpful during the service, and went out their way to accomodate our request. The food was absolutely delicious ie. Swordfish dish as a main, and for desert pannacotta with poached pears. All accompanied with a classic glass of rosè and focacccia. Compliments to the chef, thank you for a wonderful experience. Will definitely return.

   Second time here, lunch first, this time dinner. Food was excellent. Service was much better than the first visit. The live music was great.

   Julio’s provided a perfect venue for our group of 7 adults and 2 toddlers to eat a special lunch to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. We requested the private room, which was perfect for our group. The service staff accommodated all our requests and the food and wine was perfect. Especially enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad and the calamari’s and lasagna. The pannacotta and sticky date pudding were excellent.

   I remember the old Julios as an authentic, select West Perth Restaurant. Alas now it's merely and adjunct of Holiday Inn hotel which is adjacent and physically joined. There was no one to greet us at the door so we ventured inside and were pointed (not shown) to our table. The menu is largely in Italian which is great (if you want to be pretentious) but not very practical. You either guess, interrogate the wait staff or gamble. Why not simply write the menu in English? There were 4 of us and all four dishes were good but none warranted the high menu price. We all had a main course - no starter, no sweet and no coffee. Does that warrant a bill of $250? I don't think so. Ending on a positive note the building itself is beautiful - what a shame the wait staff were so average. It's not hard to be a good waitress / waiter - be friendly, interested, knowledgeable about the food and courteous. It was my choice to try Julios - a mistake I wont make again.
