Everything was well up to a fine dining experience for the family. Cheers
I was disappointed with the restaurant, due to the poor service I received. I was staying on my own in the hotel and ate there 3 times, twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Staff regularly walked past me whilst I was waiting for a table, once seated I was not offered any drinks, given a menu, or when I did have the menu, did not come to take my order until I had spent a long time trying to get their attention (25 minutes on one occasion, and wasn't even given a glass of water in that time).
If you can get served, the food itself was nice and as a vegetarian, there was good options.
No one advised me on arrival that it had to be 2 courses .
The main meal was 2 course set style was more suited to a lunch . In fact even though dessert was small the main meal was even tinier !
I eat out quite a lot and have never encountered such a small quantity . The taste was fairly bland too with no offer of pepper. Children’s meals were quite a good size but although I asked for meals together they did not come together . Also they forgot my dessert and I had to remind them .
Food was very good but small portions. For drinks we had Aperol spritzers which turned out to be flavoured soda water. Weakest spritzers ever.
The service was not great, it took awhile before we were greeted and shown to our table. There were quite a few flies buzzing around. The servings werw small for the large price. Thw desserts were ok.
We did the bottomless brunch, the food was quite average for the price and we were still hungry after. We wanted to do the picnic but they said we couldn’t because of weather, even though the sun came out the whole time we were there which was a bit disappointing. The drinks were nice though. Next time we’ll try the high tea because apparently that has more food.
Extremely underwhelmed by our experience at bottomless brunch. Minimal menu with the food being the most basic of offerings. Quality and quantity of food was dreadful- we expected much more for the prices and images featured on the website. Cocktail menu also highly limited and not well matched to brunch. Again, our expectations did not match the underwhelming reality.
Set meals and choice is limited but meal was well presented
Enjoyable meal and experience overall.
Unimpressed with the whole experience. I expect more of High tea. The cakes did not seem to be fresh, the scones were hard. Have had much better. Even finding the room was very difficult.
I believe new staff was on board on Tuesday however it would have been appreciated if the new staff members are shadowed by someone experienced.
Our order was bungled up, we had to ask for our sides which only came out at the end of our main course.
The food here is outstanding and innovative.
Service was enthusiastic, fun, but a little inexperienced.
But all in all, a terrific night.
Very friendly accommodating and efficient staff they were most obliging
Food and service were outstanding and staff were very accommodating.
Overall our experience was extremely disappointing and for the pricing of wines and meals was not worth it.
The service was very poor and we are so disappointed with the lack of knowledge of the wines and meals being served.
Really an underwhelming and sorry experience especially when celebrating a massive milestone.
Went for lunch. Food and service is outstanding with beautiful views from a window seat, a bit pricey but the quality made it worth it.
The staff are incredibly helpful, polite and friendly. Coupled with the excellent menu, both food and wine, this makes for a really pleasant and relaxed fine dining experience.
We dined during Summer and were able to view the beautiful Mansion grounds during our meal which was a fantastic backdrop, so often missing from a restaurant experience.
Will come again but when our mastercard is in better condition.
Great ambience and service. Surrounds are beautiful to enjoy after dining at Joseph’s
The ambience is one of calm efficiency. Tables well spaced and beautifully presented. The staff were all professional and very friendly. Food was spectacularly presented and delicious. Just the right size for a sumptuous lunch of 2-3 courses. Wine selection was extensive and my favourite was listed so very happy. Highly recommend for a special dining experience.
Fantastic dining experience. Couldn’t fault the service at all. Our waitress was a delight. Would return in a heartbeat
The snapper was so over cooked it was inedible. No seasoning on any of the food. The panacotta was so thick and not delicate at all. It was clear the chefs did not care. The menu read well but the execution was poor. Lovely wine menu and the bread at the beginning was lovely.
Wait staff were polite and always on hand. The food was excellent and the ambiance and the views of the surrounding gardens and mansion were terrific.
Avoid hightea not worth the $85. Could not fault Breakfast, Dinner and Room Service, was excellent.
The view was amazing (as usual). We asked for a table next to window and the attendants were flexible enough to help organise it.
However, Food were served cold with tiny portions. I am not sure if they worth for the price. Outside windows have lots of spiderwebs that need to a clean. The restaurant attendant asked us if we want to pay the bill when we were chewing our last pieces of meals. To be honest, I did expect more than this given the restaurant is known for its luxurious dining experience.
Overpriced. Very few selection of food and some items are very bland. Main course was basically boiled carrot, potato. fish and two mussels. There’s no deco at all inside the restaurant. Not sure why you charge that much as there is no speciality. Restaurant looks like a room with few tables.
Most overpriced high tea. What a ridiculous waste of money for $85 to get pastries that you could get from a local cafe. Terrible.
Front of house/ Floor manager was really attentive and helpful. Excellent quality food, little on the pricey side. Help in making the booking beforehand was really appreciated.
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive.
Beautiful meal, and they went above and beyond when I told them that the dinner was for a birthday. Food was amazing and well worth it.
Beautiful food and special atmosphere. It was expensive but worth the money.
We booked Joseph's Restaurant to celebrate our Wedding anniversary over a lovely intermit and romantic dinner and that is exactly what we got, it was so beautiful. Meals were divine, waiters were extremely professional and very friendly. Our waiter was very helpful with the wine selection and provided an exceptional service. Couldn't have went anywhere better to celebrate our wonderful day. Thank you to all the staff.
Beautiful dining room with lovely outlook. Food was great & staff wonderful. Thanks everyone.
Service was little
The food taste a bit funny and very average
Amazing food, service and ambience. Thanks and looking forward to coming again!
Beautifully prepared food which was just the right portion size and tasted delicious! The staff were exceptionally helpful with Mum who had a hip replacement just 2 weeks ago and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joseph's to anyone who wants to treat themselves.
Good location as the only formal restaurant at the Mansion Werribee;
A little bit overpriced depends on the food quality; good service overall.
I made a special call 4 days before the booking to reserve a window corner table, only to be told that "we are fully booked tonight "..
Food was okay, can't say really value for money
Partner and I decided to have a few drinks before we went in to eat, they said we couldn’t sit at the bar due to COVID but gave us an option and sat us down out in the foyer lounge. I was like, ok... as long as we can get drinks served. We sat down and there was no drink menu to choose from so how the hell are we suppose to know what you serve. In the 75mins they served us 1 drink each only. I saw waiters walking in and out to the outdoor court serving people multiple times. This put me in a bad mood! We received our drinks, my wife ordered a cocktail, it came out and for a $19 price tag, it looked like a glass of 2 shots of cordial with nothing else. No frost, no lemon, no care! Joke!! Bar service was woeful! For an industry who’s trying to get back on their feet - if you’re going to charge $19 for a small rubbish cocktail, at least provide a good service to make up for it. We use to come out for special occasions annually, not anymore - back to CBD it is.
Amazing food! Great service!
We will definitely go there again!
The setting and the mansion grounds are lovely but the food is hideously overpriced, tiny serves and rather tasteless. And the bill for two entrees and mains $200. Fine if the food is delicious but it simply wasn't. The best part were the side of potatoes.
