Very good for a basic high tea. Scones were nicely layered and fresh. Lovely jam. Little basic cakes good with variety of flavors but mild flavors- lacked a punch. Best of them was a small cheesecake. Free flowing Prosecco was very nice.

I advised them of my food intolerance and I was not catered for. When it was brought to their attention the replacement was below standard and took a long time to come. The scones were dismal. Overall very underwhelmed with the experience

The day we booked for High Tea was scheduled for the big event called One Electric Day. We did not know this and we stucked the road because of lot of traffic. We called the venue but the phone was swiched off. We call the Hotel and transfered the venue but no one answered. We arrived the venue 45 minute late but we made. Afterward, everything was well. Service was good. Food was good. The staff members were friendly and helpful. Thank you. It was a good experience.

We were disappointed that we weren’t advised that there was an event on, which impacted our arrival time and also trying to get to the hotel, one guest was an hour late, she was distressed and upset about being late. Otherwise it was a great day

When we saw the menu and booked I stated "this will either be standard hotel food or exceptional value". It turned out to be standard, mediocre, fare with nothing truly memorable. The scallops were delightful; the terrine was saved only by the chutney; the duck was lacking flavour and accompanying vegetables were poorly represented; the mushroom and leek risotto was insipid and our least liked dish; the lychee parfait was the redeeming dish; the tiramisu was just OK. Honestly, I'd happily pay 30-50% more for a higher quality experience and walk away feeling excited. Instead we walked away thinking "never again".

Service was friendly, food was nice. Presentation of the food was amateur at best, looked like it had been thrown at the plates by a school dinner lady - for those prices a vague effort would have been appreciated.

The food wasn’t worth the price. It looked apart, but it wasn’t very pleasant. The service staff were lovely just a shame the food wasn’t and far far too over priced

Food was not as listed on the menu . Slow cooked lamb cannot be rare and tough . Lucky to cut with a steak knife . Poor value .

Such a wonderful way to celebrate my mother's 80th Birthday. Also, really appreciate the staff arranging to pick up Mum from the car with a golf buggy and returning back to the car after our High Tea. The staff were wonderfully attentive and made the High Tea super special for my mother.

Beautiful location nestled amongst stunning gardens and old trees Josephs resides in the old Werribee Mansion. High tea was lovely, although high tea is about the tea and one cup of luke warm Earl Grey does not quite make the grade...a little disappointing. The food itself was generous and delicious. Service was good, not outstanding but they were understaffed for the amount of people in house. I would go back and I would recommend the High Tea. It is not Raffles but it is a treat just the same.

Couldn't really appreciate the surroundings at dinner as it was dark outside and the interior was a bit bland. The place was also hard to get to at night (poor lighting and signage). Food: scallops were nice, the duck was the best I have ever had (absolutely delicious!) but the winter berries tart was just ok. Service: very good. I'll come back again for an early dinner in summer.

Just sad that the Joseph's dining experience fluctuates so drastically. On our last visit the standards were high and every table filled. On the recent visit (11.8.23) the food was okay but odd mix of flavours, especially for vegetarian food. Desserts were evidently pre made and very basic. The restaurant was also virtually empty on a peak Friday night. Overall a disappointing meal and really hope Joseph's food standards improve again. Waiting staff friendly and efficient.

Disappointed with food and service. Had been here before and it was amazing but not so this time! Ordered cocktails to start and disappointingly entrees arrived before we even tasted the cocktail ….then waiter was constantly approaching us. we asked him to hold back main course as we wanted to enjoy the evening and not feel rushed. Ordered scotch steak which was fatty and chewy. Scallop entree was very bland. The almond orange cake for dessert saved the day. Husband enjoyed the beef tataki and pork chop main. Meals were well presented

Our waiter was lovely, so happy, the high tea beautifully presented. Was a small area, would have been nice if they could have let us know 2 functions were on as well. So for 2 people, the 2 groups were loud , and impinged on our space, one guest knock our table, which cause a bit of spillage. Just be nice to have been called to see if would change

We enjoyed high tea at Joseph’s Restaurant for my mums 60th birthday. I had made a mistake with my booking and we had two extra people in our party, but nothing was too big of a problem for the team at Joseph’s. The food was delicious, the bubbly lovely. Service was a little disjointed, the young man would start pouring bubbly and then the bottle would finish and while going to grab the next one it seemed he would lose his train of thought. I would’ve liked a run down of what was on the trays, they were just kind of plonked down with no finesse. However, our dietary requirements were catered too and the food was very nice. Everyone in our party left happy with a very full belly, and we even had cakes to spare to take home to our loved ones. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we would return and recommend high tea at Joseph’s Restaurant.

The ambience was cold The food was bought in by box for that price it should have been made on the premises The scones had been left in the oven too long and were crispy Was seriously disappointing for us all Would never go again and would certainly not recommend

Absolutely beautiful starter, probably the best starter I’ve ever had. Both me and my partner ordered steak, both medium rare, one being delivered rare and one more medium, main being a big letdown on the meal. After the main a waitress spoke to us and asked if we’d like dessert, as it was already ordered it was a bad look. The dessert was quite good, but I wouldn’t rave about it. In all honesty the meal was let down by the service, incorrect drinks and a blunder with the desserts. For the $260 it wasn’t worthwhile.

High Tea at the Mansion was excellent in every respect, however in reflection on the day I doubt that we were served Mumm Champagne as advertised. It was from a bottle I did not recognize. Also, the venue needs a load of stones in the carpark. It was a mess. Dirty wet shoes, dirty car carpets. It would not take much to rectify it especially now that winter is here.
