Wasn't the greatest outdoor seating
The macadamia nut encrusted salmon was delicious. It was served with roasted Brussels sprouts, potato latkes with cinnamon apple sauce, and fried banana. The different flavors and textures went very well together.
The service and view were excellent and I was surprised how great the side dishes were,
brussel sprouts and potato pancakes.
The Jolly Fisherman never disappoints. The service and the food was outstanding as always. They did not miss a beat with all of the covid restrictions. Very few restaurants measure up in terms of the service, quality and value - it’s not cheap but worth every penny.
Great food and service! Never disappointed!
Been going there since I was a boy
Food is consistent
The food was very bland. No flavor at all. The cold seafood appetizer was amazing. Very out dated decor. Staff was very very nice.
Passed by this place a million times . Delicious food . Will be back
I’ve been a fan of this restaurant for 40 years. The lunch remains a wonderful bargain and the quality of the food is outstanding. They have adjusted the layout of the tables for social distancing and the servers are very careful in their service. Although dinners are not inexpensive the quality more than makes up for the cost. This remains one of my favorite places.
Took very long to place our food order, even though it was not crowded. Clams on the half shell were not fresh and our Lobster Dinner was severely overcooked, extremely tough. Waiter never checked on us until we were almost finished with our meal. When server finally asked how everything was, we did say the lobster was overcooked and tough no response.
Most likely will not return
I’ve been eating here for 15 years
My plate was full of grease they ran out of stuffed potatoes but never told us just brought baked and said here sorry salads are no longer included nobody told us I would have bought a salad but thought one was coming by the time dessert came my friend who is eating there 40 years looked up from her duck and said I’m never coming back!!!! Same for me !!! It was terrible we just wanted to pay and leave!!! Waste of money and time!!!
Just a simply wonderful meal! All around satisfying dining experience.
Never disappoints owner (steve) cares about ALL his customers Thanks SO much for putting the seafood Crepe on the special hopefully it will be there more often
Consistently excellent food and service at Jolly Fisherman. One of the best restaurants around.
A return to an old favorite - it didn’t disappoint! Food was excellent! Huge portions! Our cocktail was also delicious! Well worth the money!
Food and service was excellent. Can’t wat to go back
Dining at this restaurant is not the same since the pandemic. The staff were very nice and appreciative that we came there to eat. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the whole time we were there. It was a Saturday afternoon for lunch and usually they would have been very busy. The food was good but the prices were a bit higher than usual.
Enjoyed an outstanding meal on what was a very hot evening outdoors, but the quality of the food and service were impeccable. Highly recommend.
As you can probably tell we come here often. The food and service are excellent. I had the three pound lobster with the expensive stuffing which I didn't like...I hope that they will survive during these hard times.
After years of driving by this restaurant we’ve decided to try it for a birthday dinner. Excellent, warm and friendly service. The food plentiful and delicious, complimented by an impressive selection of libations. We enjoyed our dining experience and will surely return in the future.
Always a great meal with nice environment and professional wait staff. One of our favorite restaurants.
The food was great& service was great. We plan to dine with you in the future.
Food was great as well as the service. Bread basket had a great variety. Waiter was terrific.
Food was wonderful. Our waiter was a bit difficult. Very combative and didn’t listen too well but jolly fisherman always delivers a great meal.
It’s been a classic since as long as I can remember. It remains very much the same, with good food and service — and a scenic view of the pond. Their bread basket is the best anywhere!
I hadn't been here in years, but I had a yen for swordfish and Jolly Fisherman didnt disappoint. Starting with a basket of rolls that included their famous date nut bread, and a free bowl of crudites and olives, the whole dinner was delicious with old fashioned professional service. I won't wait so long before coming back again.
We had a great meal. The only negative is that they don't honor reservations. We had an 8:00 reservation and we waited at the bar and had a drink. That is fine if you can get a seat. We were seated about 8:40. Many other people were still waiting.
Wonderful meal and absolutely fantastic service! Very crowded so a little noisy but to be expected with no open tables! Will be back as soon as we can!
Not a busy Thursday night. Good service. Always reliable for a good meal.
Good food and great service. Been there many times
We dine with you every week and have noticed things slowly and steadily declining.....what is going on?
For a time there were no celery stalks.... they’re back but the radishes were frozen and there were no green olives. We used to love the pretzel rolls, but they too are no longer available.
This week our waiter was not around much, although the restaurant was far from filled, and we had to wait and wait to order and then for coffee.....
My snapper was subpar, to put it mildly.
This has been disappointing, as we’ve always loved the Jolly Fisherman and have recommended it to so many of our friends.
I hope you can turn things around soon.
Awesome food, nice view.
Went for lunch. Great bread basket. Nice lunch menu. Would go back
AMAZING..... Everything was so delicious. Amazing service.... this restaurant is definitely a Gem.
Valentine’s Day at a very special place to my girlfriend
I've been to Jolly Fisherman a few times. They're not a low-end seafood place, so don't be expecting the 'low' quality (and price associated) from Red Lobster here. Don't underestimate the amount of food, either. Each dinner serving comes with 2 side dishes (I got a salad and a twice-baked potato). Jolly also puts down a vegetable bowl and bread on the table. They make some of the best bread around (Mom was looking for more to go!).
It's not your everyday type restaurant, we keep it for special occasions. And will definitely be back again!
How can you not love JF? Always consistently good food, and our waiter was really great. Business lunch with 2 out of state colleagues and they were very happy.
We were placed in the secondary dining room yet there was adequate room in the more comfortable one. This shouldn’t have happened because I had reserved well in advance and I am a returning patron.
