There have been changes post pandemic, most notably the menu. It’s been scaled down significantly, but still adequate. Valet parking no longer exists at lunch time.
The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is still charming and remains a good value.
Everything was excellent
Our food was delicious, served by our attentive and friendly waitress. Usually order takeout from here, snd every meal is wonderful.
The service was excellent and the food was really good.
grew up going to this restaurant. service outstanding. entrée very good. sides uneventful. two different decors on main floor either: modern décor nice. bar and back room nostalgic. lower level feels like funeral parlor and smells like bleach and fish. TOO EXPENSIVE NOW. 10 or 20 dollars more than it should be. Many other places to choose from. I'm sorry.
I was very disappointed with the tuna in peanut sauce with noodles. It was a $44 dish that was just cold noodles with a few raw peanuts and soy sauce poured on top. The tuna was just okay. We usually have much better prepared food there. I was surprised with this flop of a dish.
Expensive but so is everything else in area. The food really was just so-so. I had some sort of fried fish and there was oil running on my plate. The underside of the fish was so soggy with oil that I couldn’t eat it. I will likely not go back there.
Restaurant is safe with distancing between tables. My food was a little bland. A little pricey. View of pond is great.
DELISHHHHH I absolutely am going back again, and the waiters were so so kind and wonderful!
The Jolly Fisherman is always a good experience. As all restaurants in Roslyn the food is a little pricey but good. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Francisco is a terrific server. He is affable and very professional. They are lucky to have such a good person.
Always consistent!Steak cooked perfect medium and lobster my husband had was steamed and delish. Comes with choice of potato and vegetable of day(most places are ala carte).Steamers were good size and not sandy. They are following covid protocols and felt safe. One day want to go in afternoon for their complete luncheon special.Banana cream pie was excellant too!
Great food and service!
Great as always! Delicious food, impeccable service.
Outstanding service and the best steak and seafood! Professional, friendly and amazingly clean and covid safe. Not surprising as JF has been one of my favorites for 30+ years!
The food at this place is absolutely amazing! The shrimp cocktail was by far the largest I ever had! The cornbread muffins are delectable not too sweet but very fresh and tasty I had the chicken Marsala it was soft and flavorful with a nice amount of mushrooms the broccoli was seasoned and extremely fresh the whole ensemble was superb would definitely recommend this place to anyone that would like a great dining experience
The restaurant overall was great. Me and wife enjoyed the bread, French onion soup, and main course.
The view was beautiful. The restaurant and food were great. The staff is very attentive and so friendly. My family and I loved it. I can't wait to go back.
The fish and shell fish items were out of this world. So fresh
Great waiter. Great cocktails. Yummy lobster and oysters great table and view. Loved our valentines lunch!!
Excellent as usual
Excellent service, fantastic food. Money well spent. Would visit again.
We love this place, it’s been a great experience at all times!
They’re pre fixe lunch special is phenomenal. Delicious & such a value. Service was very attentive. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
The service was excellent! The food was stellar. Everything made fresh in house. Started with nut bread and cornbread along side fresh vegetable plate with homemade garlic dip. Baked little neck clams that were flavorful crisp on top but kept the integrity of the sweet clam. The crab cakes left nothing to be desired they were perfectly crunchy on the outside filled with a balance of seasoning and fresh lump crab nestled on a remoulade and a bed of kidney beans. Yup I said kidney beans. It’s was different enough to be unique but not too busy where it took away from the main event Clam chowder and all soups come in a cup. The clam chowder was a classic rendition of a white based New England clam chowder. Clams were tender and present and there wasn’t an overcrowding of potato. The grey sole the Cadillac of soles I had broiled. I know broiled seems blah but if you’ve had broiled seafood else where I can see where you would think that. This fish was super fresh and by having it broiled it highlighted such. Light flaky and delicious we accompanied this dish with their twice baked potato and creamed spinach. Finished the meal with their banana cream pie famous since 1957. Listen I’m not a big pie fan but when someone’s says they’ve been going strong since 1957, I’m intrigued. This pie was a template for what pie should be. The homemade crust was thin buttery flaky and perfectly held this master piece of thinly sliced fresh banana, cream and pudding. Everything we had was executed to the highest standards I could hold in my mind. Their wine list was impressive and I love the fact that they had Silver-oak Cabernet and Opus on their menu. You can purchase the homemade nut bread and/or cornbread to take home. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to on Long Island, if not the best! Perfect storm of ambiance, service and excellent food. I tip my hat to the Jolly fisherman and steak house. Well played.
We had a very enjoyable lunch. The wait staff are clearly professional and experienced. Great experience.
Tables were socially distanced. Food was delicious. Waitstaff so nice

New Years Eve!
Delicious food /service good except once when wanted waiter was nowhere to be found . Once came over took care of right away .
Price is expensive but food is very good !
Our lunch on New Years Eve was superb! The Jolly Fisherman sets the bar for social distancing!! We were totally relaxed with the setup in their dining room and everyone was masked when serving our food and drinks.
The food was fantastic, as always, and our lunch was the perfect way to end an otherwise dismal year!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
Food and Service were exceptional! Can't wait to go back
