Est. 1991. Jean-Georges' first restaurant, and named after his childhood nickname that his mother would call him, has recently reopened in a duplex townhouse on the Upper East Side, creating a modern and fresh design, yet still maintaining an understated, warm and friendly atmosphere. JoJo is a simple and casual neighborhood friendly restaurant serving a farm to table menu with mostly organic and local ingredients.

Fabulous all the way around. I haven't been to here in about four years, albeit have been going for 25. Went this past Sat and the food, service, wine was impeccable. I had the Lobster with a mint, butter and something sauce that was completely out of this world. Shared the crab dumplings which were amazing. The new decor is very different. Hope to bring my family there in April for my fathers birthday or as soon as restaurants open again.

The most superb dining experience we have had in a long time. True professionals all around, from service at the door to the cozy and calm table, and clearly the kitchen. Every sauce, morsel, side, and bite was exquisitely prepared, delicious - you can just imagine the Chefs toiling over each dish. We were very impressed - hadn't been in years and love the "re-do". This is what a truely talented team can do. Kudos to them - expensive, but worth every penny. Culinary excellence. Thank you!

We got out table upstairs, which we preferred. Very friendly service. Food was very good, maybe a little bit too much seasoning on some dishes.

Will, our server Monday and Tuesday nights, is a most engaging practitioner of enlightened hospitality. He is an active listener whose understanding of every aspect of the menu forms the basis for a guest experience of the future. Our menu selections could not have been more delicious. The peekytoe crab dumplings are bright and warming —perfect for February. Roast chicken —a hallmark of the cuisine of France—exquisitely prepared and plated. And the pavlova (at every Jean-Georges restaurant where I’ve tasted it) is delightful. Thank you, team JoJo

Overall it was a pleasant dining experience. A snafu with the dessert order was rectified by the manager. I thought it a little pricy compared to other similar restaurants i dine at. The overall food quality was not as good as at the other JG restaurants I've eaten at.
