Jimmy's On The Mall
Situated in the middle of one of Australia’s busiest pedestrian malls, Queen Street Mall, Jimmy’s endeavors to deliver high standards of customer service to all the guests.
Jimmy’s is spread over two split levels and includes vibrant green living walls, a clever retractable roof to ensure the venue is ideal for all climates and high quality finishes and surfaces throughout the restaurant and bar.
The waitstaff couldn't explain the type of bread being used for sandwich.
The fillings for the sandwich was quite small and cold, lack of dressing and seasoning. I would say sandwich from convenience stores would be better than the one I had at Jimmy's On The Mall.
enjoyed our meal, enjoyed the company and the place
Went for a girls night out had a lovely time food was vedy good and service very good. Will go again.
We went on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet. My son liked the beef ribs but the viet salad i had was nothing special. Not worth the $20+ i paid for.
Good location for a catch up, service from bar staff was quick. Limited tables available upstairs in peak hour so be sure to book a table, or get there early.
We really enjoy eating here & even with our 6 year-old noisy grandson. Staff really nice & friendly, food good & prompt. Only off-putting thing is occasional flies but unavoidable due to open sides.
We will keep coming.
The food was good , my family had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect to finish the day 😊
Met up with a friend for breakfast, service was prompt and the food was tasty and well-presented. Happy to go back there.
We reserved a specific table - and this was double checked in person - however when we got there we were given another table - very disappointed :-(
Manager advised us that we could not order our last drinks as we had more than the government aloud on Xmas day? I had 3 beers and half a bottle of wine , hardly a lot given we were advised it was ok to turn up at 14:30 and to sit down for dinner at 4pm, which we did. They advised us incorrectly on the 3 hour window law but did not accept that they were in the wrong on the original advice of turning up at 14:30, word of advice, Don’t go for dinner in Queensland on Xmas Day as you will have 3 hours to enjoy yourself. Stupid government rules which need changing
Delicious food and servings were large but alcohol was a bit expensive compared to other restaurants. The location meant it was a little noisy but it was just before Christmas and the Queen Street mall was very busy so that is understandable and it added to the celebratory feel of our party.
We dined on one of the hottest days in Brisbane in December 2019 and it was super hot in the restaurant. My guest and I enjoyed the café style food and given the heat the staff were delightful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Good atmosphere and staff were lovely. But the food was way overpriced for what it was and how it tasted. The wine came out of a fridge but was nearly warm by the time it hit the table. Better food and cold wine would justify the price a little more.
Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and a great central venue. Thank You
Okay for a catch up but I think it is ridiculous that we were not aware until we got there that they do not split the bill and we all had to run off and find ATM machines... who carries cash these days... not everyone does
Overpriced. Good terrible. Great location and ambience, such a shame. So disappointing.
Great place to meet friends who are visiting and staying in the city 🌃
Would’ve liked a staff member greet us straight away and ask about whether we had reservation. Instead I had to seek out a staff member and tell them, whilst my family awkwardly stood in the way of the staff and other guests as we didn’t know where to go
Wait staff were Very inexperienced.... Ruined the experience plus tables were too small
Very friendly and accommodating staff. We were able to pre-order which was great, saved so much time. Thank you for making our business lunch ran smooth. Will definitely recommend and come back again.
Food was prompt and tasted good but waitress service was very poor. Waitresses didn't know what food to deliver to which customer despite each small group having 'numbers'. Caused a mix up in who had which meals. Can definitely be improved on.
We were also seated in the bar area, rather than the main food area which was not the best.
Service was terrible. we waited 20minutes to be served and then had to wave over the waitress. There was only one gluten free option which in this day and age is not really acceptable.
Food and service is great. Would recommend sharing as lots of variety in food options.
We had breakfast there on Friday morning.. all four of us ordered the eggs Benedict.. all day we were all constantly going to the bathroom with sore tummy’s. We all work at different offices in Brisbane but sent messages to see how each one was going. Not sure if you were aware of other but the four of us were not well for the weekend after.
I got there and they told me I didn’t have a reservation (despite booking). Luckily there was room and they seated us anyway. Gambero pizza and calamari was great.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, we bought a cake in the morning and they put it in their fridge and brought it out with ice cream!
A good place to meet with friends, enjoy nice food and good atmosphere.
Good customer services.
We waited over fifty minutes for our orders. Others came ordered ate and were long gone before us. Our meals were cold and not at all worth the money nor the time wasted waiting for our food that was obviously forgotten about as the restaurant was almost empty by the time we finally got ours after having to ask what happened to our orders. We too are very busy people. We will never go there again. I felt sorry for the staff because they kept having to apologise for the delay. Not happy at all Jan!!!
My lunch was awful and I did tell the waitstaff and they didn't charge me for my lunch which was great.
The quality of the food served was high. The attentive wait staff were a welcome change from other city food places I've been to lately. The pricing was well above other comparable food places in the CBD; I hope the hard working wait staff get a fair share; they deserve it.
Jimmy’s is a Brisbane icon. The location is perfect, in the heart of Queen Street Mall. It’s a great place to meet with friends and colleagues after work and watch the world go by.
There’s a good range of beers and wines, and the cocktails are great. Food is excellent, from bar snacks to a three course meal.
Great venue for our Christmas get together. Cost of meals was rather high. Good service from our waitress.
