Vincent was great !! Carl Smith the singer was excellent !! What great entertainment on Sunday nites !!
Best food it was fast service my waiter was wonderful just a great restaurant and great food
Ordered the meatball salad and the meatball was cold. The waiter asked if the meatball was warm and when I told him it was cold he brought another. Then one of my guest Ordered the beet salad and it was salty and she hardly ate it. For our entries one of the other guest and I both ordered The veal Melanzane as our entry and it was too salty and we hardly ate any of it. The waiter didn't ask if anything was wrong or did we want to take it home with us. Just took the food away and that was that. Any good restaurant would have asked if there was a problem.
We had a party of 6 we were celebrating a birthday. Arrived more than 10 minutes early and had to wait until our reservation time, yet there were tables that could accommodate our party that were empty and appeared ready for service.
Food was excellent! Service was not. As we looked around, it seemed there were many other tables with attentive service, ours not as much. Not sure if it was players at the casino with comps or what, but seemed everyone else’s servers interacted with them, were chatting with them, etc.
As we wrapped up our meal prior to desserts, one of the service staff dropped half of our pizza leftovers on the floor and proceeded to ask one of my guests “if they wanted what was dropped on the floor or not.” WHAT?!? There was a fair amount of the pizza left (which was delicious) as we awaited our meal and wanted to bring the rest home.
From there, we had explained to our waiter what happened and he said he’d take care of it and then arrived back and offered (1) free dessert. We asked what could be done about the pizza leftovers and he left without answer. He arrived back to take our dessert order with no resolution until we asked to either remove it from the bill or make us a new one. I’ve worked in the food industry for a lot of years and if we accidentally discarded a guest’s leftovers, we made it right, one way or another.
In the end, he did give us a replacement pizza at no charge but it seemed it took a lot of time and asking for what I believe is a simple request. It didn’t ruin our night as we had a pleasant evening, just put a damper on it.
The ambiance of the place is great but the music was loud and terrible.
If not for the food I would give a rating lower than 3-stars. When you’re paying that kind of money for a meal, the service should match the cuisine.
I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was very disappointing. The meatballs tasted mushy as it wasn’t real meat. I have had better at the Cheesecake Factory.
On a positive note I had the blue eye martini and it was excellent
Great food and great service!
Met some nice people and really enjoyed our evening! Would highly recommend this place.
Our waiter Jim service was great and always with a smile. My veal was melt in your mouth. Their pizza is out of the world. The best. Every bite of their food was like being in heaven. I love this place.
Pizza 🍕 excellent
The food was fantastic but the service was even better! Kenny greeted us with delicious bread and explained several menu options. He really made our overall experience! Be sure to try the chocolate creme brûlée!
Simply put, outstanding food and service!
Loved the food service was good
A little too loud hard to engage in conversation
Excellent food. Enjoyed the singer on Sunday night! Will definitely come back!
All food courses were prepared and presented in a excellent manner. The wait staff was professional and well versed in the daily specials along with the standard menu items. The vocalist was a nice touch to a great evening.
The entire experience was excellent. The food was exceptionally favorfull. Enjoyed the entire experience.
1st let me tell you, Both my spouse and I are Italian, he has been a cook for over 50+ yrs. The service with Jerry was excellent. The problem was with my spouse's meal, he ordered ORECCHIETTE WITH SAUSAGE AND RABE. The rabe was undercooked, the sausage was not tasty. He then ordered LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE white sauce, clams were 2 different size's and SANDY and OVERCOOKED.
I would most likely never revisit. Save your $$$
Service was terrible. The restaurant was extremely understaffed and our waiter was evidently not handling the stress well. He was VERY rude and never smiled once.
It was so loud that we couldn’t even talk and the coffee was cold.
Our experience was pretty much a disaster.
We had an 8 pm reservation and we were seated right away; our waiter was Vincenzo. The hostess did mention that there 'may be a DJ tonight, but no one has shown up yet....' A little amusing.
We were able to put our order in fairly quickly which was nice but that is where our evening went downhill. We ordered 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and a Pepsi. Very simple order and one of the entrees was serious spaghetti and a meatball.
The app came out in a timely fashion. Still no soda. Then we started to see tables who sat after us receiving their entrees, and another, and another; and now it is 9:15 pm and still no entries nor the Pepsi. Vincenzo never approached us to explain where our meal was. When I tried to flag him down he snapped at me 'your meals will be out shortly' he barked. 9:20 pm I am speaking to the manager; at 9:30 our meals finally came out. The manager was very friendly and calming which was nice. They did COMP our meals but seriously Vincenzo needs to find a new career path. The delay? The kitchen lost our 'ticket'. Hard to believe but whatever. The food was pretty good that is why this review is a 3 and not a 1.
If you want good food and horrendous service, Jerry Longo's is your place.
Chicken Parm was lukewarm at best, really disappointing. Escarole was excellent however.
all 4 dinners were great as was the meatball salad.
Meatball good. Bean and Escarole delish.
Great meatballs and martinis. Good service. Would return
The food was awesome and the music was off the chain. It makes you want to boogie while dining and most definitely sing along. Great food and feeds your spirit as well. Unfortunately service was somewhat slow due to staffing issues.
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Wait staff friendly and accommodating. Vincenzo is the best. Frankie is a great friend. Know him from Longos in Dover. We will be back again for sure.
Good food. Service was great , everyone was so attentive. When food came out we thought the portions looked small, we were wrong - we walked out of there stuffed ! Great singer on a Sunday night. We will be back !
The ravioli dinner my wife ordered did not arrive hot, just barely warm. Everything was also rushed. When we ordered 2 appetizers, they came out very quickly. While still eating our appetizers, here come the dinners - 1 of which was not hot. We will not be back. We felt like we were in a fast-food restaurant. And the thing is - its not like there was even a long line waiting to get in - there was no line and there were empty tables. 2 other things - for a better ambiance, would recommend dimming the lighting. The singer was good, but too load, take down the volume! Its supposed to be background dinner music - not a concert.
The food and service were very good. They had a live singer walking around the floor singing songs. He was excellent and helped to make a relaxed atmosphere. The only negative comment is the dining room was very large and took away the ambience of the restaurant.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Celebrated our Anniversary at this place.
Food was great, drinks were great, service was great. Only problem was the lounge singer was a little too loud for me
Ernest & Chris were fantastic. Made the experience so much fun. Lounge singer was a little loud for our liking-it was hard to talk with each other but otherwise total experience was awesome.
This is a great place to eat in Bally’s food delicious and big portions enough to bring home everyone’s friendly service excellent highly recommend this restaurant
The food and service was very good. The dj played great dance music.
Saturday August 28th
Watermelon martini was good. That was about it.
BREAD- horrible, probably worst bread in the area
MEATBALL- was decent, I could understand if people said it was good
CAPRESE SALAD- was ok
SPAGHETTI WITH CRAB- no good. Bland. If it weren't for the crab meat you wouldn't taste anything
CHICKEN PARM- sauce bland, chicken was pounded thin and tasted just ok.
LOBSTER STUFFED CHICKEN- BLAND!
Sauces had no taste, bread sucked. I wonder how the chef or owner can serve this. Ballys is a run down casino so I guess this restaurant fits right in.
Mr Longo, I know now why you claim to have grown up with Steve Martarano, and Steve doesn't need to mention you. Unfortunately, mediocre cafeteria food. And it's a shame, we needed a good Italian spot down in AC.
To all the reviewers that said the food was excellent, WTF??? where do you people eat? Olive garden? I envy you all, must be nice to have such low standards.
Roasted Beets Salad was incredible as always. But the Spaghetti Carbonara was very disappointing - SO salty and the Guanciale wasn’t crisped like it was in Italy. Coffee was lukewarm.
Old Blue Eyes Martinis are excellent !
Spaghetti n Meatbaalls very good served with fresh bread n olives with dipping oils.
The food and drinks were good. A little disappointed nothing came out very hot
Frank and the staff are great.
From the drinks to the food to our server Jason the experience was excellent. A great place to dine. We will return.
Stale bread, and mediocre food. Was hoping for better food, and service.
Excellent food and service
Food was fresh and deliciousl
Excellent food and great service!
