Great hospitality and the food is fantastic especially the salmon tartare, beets and the mushroom juk
Jeong is incredible. The food is both delicious and beautiful. The service is exceptional. The tasting menu is a fantastic value and really gives a chance to taste the spectrum of what they offer. Highly recommend!
Everything was absolutely spot on! We were so impressed with the whole dining experience. You will not be disappointed.
It was as outstanding as my first visit. I will definitely dine there again soon
Design is wonderful
Great tasting menu. I am looking forward to trying the alacarte menu next time. Service was friendly. Price was reasonable.
Booked thru Opentable and could not cancel due to their charge of 25 per person. Got there with a reservation and had to wait 45 minutes after the initial time to get sat.The staffed apologized for the the lateness. We tried an appetizer and it came out lukewarm. So after the long wait we decided this place was not for us. It was a waste of my time, expectations and money.
Everything was amazing! The dishes were inventive new takes on Korean classics and the service and pacing of the courses was outstanding.
Service was great, unfortunately, I cannot remember their name but thank you for the cupcakes!
Kalbi jjim was on point, tender enough that I could eat it with my chopsticks. Kept joking to my gf that a bowl of rice and soju would have been perfect.
Phenomenal food & service. Will definitely return
Food, presentation and service all outstanding
Amazing tasting menu with great ambiance! Highly recommended!
Jennifer and David have created magic! Since this was our first visit we decided to have the tasting menu. Each dish was absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to come back and explore the menu more!
The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. The chefs are very talented as the food was bursting in flavors and texture and beautifully presented.
Incredible. Service, food, ambience, everything was just incredible
Easily one the best meals I've ever experienced. The tasting menu was superb across the line
The best restaurant I have been to in a while, outstanding in every aspect.
Excelente lugar para probar algo diferente. El lugar es muy lindo
Amazing food, amazing service. This was one of the best meals I have had in awhile. While not all the dishes were perfect, many were, like the broccoli, sashimi, wontons, duck, and tartar and desserts. Even small missteps were perfectly forgiven with the excellent service, timing, and graciousness of the house. Don't miss a rare fine dining intro to refined Korean flavors.
Long awaited full scale dining from Dave Park & Jennifer Tran of the western suburban Hanbun. Standout dishes beef tartare and chocolate cake from the a la carte menu and the entire tasting menu.
Service was warm and attentive; food was exquisite- beautifully presented with flavors and textures to please. The decor is serene and welcoming. This place is headed for Michelin star territory the only question is whether is will garner two in its first year - a distinct possibility with this winning combination of all the requisite elements!
It exceeded all expectations. I recently went to a fine dining experience that was 4 times the price in the West Loop and Jeong was a much better experience in every facet.
Jeong was very nice. I'm not sure the food is at the quality you'd want for high-end Korean. It's good, but not great Korean. Worth a visit.
Amazing food. True foodie delight.
Mind blowing - every dish on the tasting menu was exceptional. Definitely going back to try everything on the a la carte menu!
Make your reservation now and treat yourself to Jeong!
We went to celebrate my birthday and it was everything you'd want in a delicious meal.
Thank you, Jeong for a memorable dining experience!
Fantastic, thoughtful, delicious food! Excellent service and attention to detail. Servers very comfortable and knowledgeable about the menu. Simple decor and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to more visits to this gem.
Service was excellent. Food was on point and showed off the Chef's skills. Both my wife and I were very happy with our meals and service. Highly recommended, met all the hype!
The food was kind of like one of those abstract paintings where someone has to explain to you why you should like it because there’s nothing readily observable about why it’s differentially good. Otherwise put, unmemorable fare that wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either.
I had been anticipating Jeong's opening ever since I heard that the owners of Hanbun were opening a restaurant in Chicago. Jeong did not disappoint! My friends and I did the tasting menu supplemented with some a la carte items (the chefs do a nice job of integrating the a la carte items into the tasting menu). The ambiance was great and the service was incredible! You can tell they're excited for the opening and want the diners to have an awesome experience. Servers were friendly and warm. I was really surprised by the cocktails. Each of them were really unique and crafted by the chef as well. Really enjoyable to try the various flavors there. The meal itself was great! The food is definitely Korean inspired and not Korean. I would say it is more on the Korean inspired side than Korean compared to a restaurant like Parachute. I don't say that as a good or bad thing, but just know what you are signing up for. I remember thinking that the dish they put out was my favorite but then the next one would surpass it. The opening dishes were nice and refreshing. The salmon tartare was really memorable. Both of the meat dishes were cooked perfectly. Definitely hope to return and hope Jeong becomes a mainstay in Chicago's food scene!
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Definitely a cool place to check out. Food was very good but a little on the pricey side considering portions.
This place is perfect. Great value for a tasting menu. Service is impeccable.
A great new restaurant! The staff welcomed us like we had been coming there for years. It has a cool friendly vibe with great music. We did the tasting menu with wine pairings, and I have to say the food ranks up there with some of the best in the city for a much more reasonable price. Would compare it to dishes I have had at Michelin starred restaurants. Cannot wait to get back and try the Ala carte items. Would book now before more people find out about this place.
Wonderful food by a rising star chef.
The food and service was outstanding. I will definitely be back very soon.
We loved their inventive take on Korean food. This is not your average BiBimBop/Kalbi etc place. Very elegant space, excellent service and interesting wine list. Very friendly. The owner stopped at our table a few times to make sure everything was fine. The food was spectacular and we cannot wait to return.
This was a phenomenal experience. We decided to go with the tasting and it didn’t disappoint. It’s was my partners first time doing a tasting and now he is hooked. We can’t wait to go back and try their next tasting.
Tasting menu was incredibly well balanced and imaginative
