Wow. Just check it out. Pound for pound this place is simply the incredible.
The service was excellent with constant attention and care. The food was delicious and the courses of the tasting menu were well spaced out. The meats (duck and American wagyu steak) were a little too undercooked so they were a bit too chewy, especially the duck. However, the sauces and other complements to the meat were delicious. Jeong is well worth the wait!
A very casual tasting menu experience. Servers were great. Food was delicious and not so much that you feel uncomfortable after the 8th course. Lovely plating and easygoing presentations from the staff. No 5 minute monologues on preparation and ingredients. Recommended for date, dinner with friends or casual special occasions.
Found this great place through Chicago magazine! Their review held true - they have a short and sweet tasting menu - creative and not overdone at a good price for decent portions. Standout was the Wagyu beef with sunchokes two ways and kimchi sauce, and a salmon sashimi / tartare type morsel! Lots of people, including my fiancé and me, were there celebrating birthdays - and they gave some nice little surprises for that.
Loved the tasting menu! Looking forward to returning.
One of the best meals I have ever had. Everything beautifully presented and creative. Service was attentive and helpful. Korean flair but wouldn't necessarily label it Korean cuisine. Can't wait to return.
Food and service were good but wiped table with scented Lysol/Clorox(?) disinfecting wet tissue before desert
We had a beautiful meal and excellent service. We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairings. The music seemed a bit loud when we first sat down, but I became thankful for the volume because I could hear my husband but not the conversation from the table next to me. Can't wait to go back.
Best Korean Fusion implementation that I've ever seen or tasted. Great service and amazing atmosphere and visual aesthetics. Perfect for date night.
But could have had slightly bigger portions for the price. Definitely recommend the tasting menu next time.
tasting menu was reasonably priced and not an overwhelming amount of food.
Enjoyed the wine pairing as well.
The Korean touches on the cuisine make Jeong more than just the next restaurant with a tasting menu!
The space is small but beautiful and elegant. The servers are attentive and helpful in describing the menu. The food is amazingly special with delicate lingering flavors. Put this restaurant on your must try list and you will not be disappointed. We look forward to our next visit.
Great staff, great atmosphere and amazing food and wine lists. Will come back again. Highly recommend the place!
The tasting menu was excellent and they were very sweet about celebrating my birthday. The restaurant is a bit too loud, not sure why. Will be back to try a la carte but definitely will repeat the salmon tartare!
We had another wonderful experience and Jeong, and appreciate that they accommodated us with our last minute plus one, as we had a dear friend fly in unexpectedly.
Great. Kind of loud. Duck was the least interesting bite. But overall best tasting menu I’ve ever had. Was surprised by how drab the interior was. Great servers.
Both the tasting menu and å la carte dishes are enjoyable. The scallop, salmon tartare, yukhwe, kalbi jjim and rice-hi chew mochi were some of my favorites. Each dish is a unique creation made with quality ingredients and is stylish in presentation. The ambience is inviting and the service is friendly.
Heard great things but exceeded expectations. Everything was done very thoughtfully.
Visit as soon as you can before everyone finds out about it
The tasting menu was great!
Staff was nice, dishes were very one dimensional. Dessert could’ve been grocery store bought
Absolutely amazing experience all around, and happy to see this located in the west town neighborhood - I highly recommend!!
Solid, sophisticated menu but not extensive. Great ambience. I'd recommend this restaurant for nice date night.
Our first dinner at Jeong — we loved it. Great ambiance. The space is beautiful and serene, and neither too big nor too noisy. Service was attentive, welcoming, and well-timed. We ordered the broccoli, shrimp cakes, dumplings, duck and cod. Everything was terrific but we’d go back for the shrimp cakes, dumplings and cod (absolutely delicious broth). Oh, and desserts, tapioca pudding and chocolate cake. It’s exactly the kind of cooking we love — fresh and inventive, with flavors that surprise and delight. We’ll be back soon.
We had the tasting menu. They have a pescatarian option, which was great for my wife.
The food was beyond awesome!
The food was incredible. I had the trasting menu with wine pairings. My only complaint was the pacing of courses felt rushed and diminished the experience. It was 8 courses in under 90 mins, a little bit quick .
Amazing food, good service, interesting cocktails. We were there to celebrate a birthday and the personnel all wished the birthday boy happy birthday and gave him a nicely packaged cupcake as a birthday token to take with.
The experience of dining at Jeong lived up to the high expectations I had after reading a review in Chicago Magazine. The tasting menu was impeccable and we appreciated both its relative brevity (at 7 courses) and affordability. Each dish was innovative, indulgent, and delicious! Thank you for an outstanding evening.
Food was fantastic
Flavorful and innovative food. Only wish paired people did'nt have to do tasting menus together.
The Prix Fixe was amazing!
Amazing food. Highly recommend the tasting menu as it felt like a great value while getting to try a very well thought out assortment of the menu and more.
Celebrating my husband’s birthday. This is a must try place.
Sashimi was delicious , steak tartare wonderful. The duck sadly tasted like corned beef hash but good effort
So happy to have this great restaurant in the neighborhood. A great addition. We did the tasting menu since it was our first time. Every dish was strong. The balance of flavors, delicate yet robust were really on point. The price for the tasting menu I found very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Overall liked the entire meal. To be picky I would say liked the savory items slightly more than the dessert courses, but that is being very picky. The ambiance is very nice, albeit a small space. We are excited to come back and sample some items off the a la carte menu. Great place and highly recommend!
Amazing! Our server was wonderful as well- get the wine pairings and the tasting menu- it is phenomenal!
I ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairing and it is excellent. Only complaint is that the server did not explain the wine pairings and just set the glasses down in front of me.
Tasting menu is the way to
Go. Fantastic flavors. Excellent intimate room.
