Great menu changes seasonally. Staff is always warm and accommodating. Get the steamed buns!
Beautiful restaurant, very warm and inviting loved so much our experience here. We will be back again for sure as there was a party downstairs in the speakeasy room which prevented us from having a cocktail down there. Super busy night so food came out late but overall very high quality. The salmon and short ribs were outstanding. Our server was really nice and recognized the kitchen was challenged with all the covers they needed to do.
Great food, great service, great historic setting. Went after dark, but would love to come back during the day to enjoy the views of the grounds.
From start to finish the whole dining experience was outstanding. Food was perfectly prepared and service was top notch.
Even though the food scene on the North Fork has really blossomed over the last ten years, Jedediah Hawkins remains the defining restaurant (along with the NFT&I) for the region. The food is always impeccable, and there isn't a nicer setting anywhere. I make a point of visiting once or twice a year.
It was a nice experience but unfortunately tables all around us were so loud it took a lot away from the evening. A weeknight would probably be better that a Saturday. Food was ok. Can't complain but can't rave.
It was our anniversary. The only negative was that I don’t think the hostess read that Information prior to seating us. We also asked for a particular server but didn’t get him at first. I think they realized it after the fact because the servers were switched.
Food was fantastic! Flavor perfect! Waiter was sweet.
Ambiance and the table by the fireplace was just what we needed as Fall is coming.
Definitely coming back!
Consistently good food and BYOB in the mix!
Food was beyond expectation.. attention to detail immaculate
Beautiful place. Always consistent. Wine list needs a little more variety.
Dinner was really delicious. Wine list was great because it had good choices at every price level and a good variety of regions including the North Fork. We ordered a Bordeaux for $56 and it was yummy! Service was very attentive. We even asked to have our table switched and we had no problem. The hostess was gracious and very sweet.
The driveway/parking situation needs immediate help at Jedediah. Large pot holes - drive slow! The parking was full so we had to park very far away from the front door. Not fun in the rainy cold and it was very dark. Had to use our phone flashlight! For such a beautiful restaurant, this is very unexpected.
We loved this place so much that we want to come back and spend the night here just to chill in the restaurant all day. Amazing starters especially. Very, very friendly service. When we spilled food on our white shirt, a waitress offered her personal clean pen to fix it.
Incredibly quite and comfortable, perfect fall spot.
This is the second time we have gone to this restaurant for our anniversary. Normally it’s a very nice experience, this time not as much. First, we were seated next to a propane fire place which made room we were in very hot. Second, I believe there was a wedding going on so the wait staff looked fairly inexperienced. The young man we had assisting our waitress was practically throwing the dishes on the table. Third, when we asked for our dish wrapped we were only given the entree, not the sides. Finally, the establishment is beautiful but as you leave the final impression is the pot holes in the exit driveway.
The ambience was incredible, only to be exceeded by the food brought to the table. Highly recommend the bruschetta sampler.
Service was great.
This is a wonderful, quiet, comfortable place to have dinner. The staff is friendly and cheerful and eager to please. The menu is interesting and the food is delicious. We will be back!
A great place to relax and enjoy carefully prepared quality ingredient s and a good glass of wine. Real farm to table experience.
Jedediah's is such a gem! We were introduced to it by a friend and it's one of our favorites now.
The atmosphere, food, people and service are impeccable. Already looking forward to another visit.
Going to get a gift certificate for my daughter so she can go with her boyfriend. I know they'll love it
as much as we do.
Excellent Food and great service. The only complaint was that the Solarium Room was so noisy that you couldn't hear yourself think. They were very accommodating and moved us to the main dining room where the noise level was much more acceptable. We had the Bruchetta and Pork Buns to start that were both excellent. I had the great 1/2 duck and my wife enjoyed her Halibut. The molten chocolate lava cake for dessert was out of this world. Our server Donna was terrific!
Great food. Service was excellent. We were two couples out for a fun night. We ordered from the cocktail menu and were very happy with the drinks. The food was high quality and delicious. We ate in the solarium which was beautiful. Our only complaint was with two other tables which were over the top loud. One table was a group of ten people- perhaps another room with better acoustics would have been more appropriate for them. The other table was a group of 5 celebrating a birthday. They were obviously drunk and shouting through out their meal. We will definitely return but perhaps on a week night when the diners are less rowdy.
Fabulous service and out meals were exceptional
Limited sides no options. Need to have several apps to make up for what we would call small plate entrees. That said any food we did order was very good. We will return
Spectacular setting. Great location
Romantic. Would recommend to friends to make this a destination for a north fork getaway
Excellent service and the place is absolutely fabulous
We had a wonderful time at Jedediah's once again. The service was excellent with a knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. We had whole lobsters and our waiter made sure they were cracked open if we preferred it. They were cooked to perfection and accompanied by delicious herb roasted, smashed new potatoes. For dessert I tried the profiteroles, a new choice. I hope they keep those on the menu. Sparkling Pointe Topaz is on the wine list by the glass and delicious with lobster. Jedediah's remains one of the most beautiful and satisfying restaurants on the North Fork.
Food was absolutely delicious from start to finish.
Service was spot on.
Could not have asked for a better dining experience.
Beautiful dining areas both inside and w. Professional and personable service at every level. Outstanding food.
They added a gluten free appetizer- lamb ribs with yogurt and molasses. It was so delicious! My main course was Chicken Under A Brick and it was equally outstanding! I’m bringing friends who are visiting to Jedediah on Friday. I know they will love it.
This place is so beautiful from the outside in. I fell in love with the rustic look they have going on. I would surely consider this place for any event I ever have. Compliments to the Chef!! Came here for dinner with friends. Everything sounded great on the menu we ordered 5 appetizers including lamb chops, Flatbread, duck wings, bruschetta, & Mediterranean plate, everything was better than the other. We almost licked the plates clean. Dinner was great we had the halibut, scallops with curry risotto, rib eye steak, potato gnocchi and a Chicken dish. The presentation was so great, not only did it look good everything tasted amazing. Dessert was delicious too!! We left with a belly ache because we couldn't stop eating but it was well worth it!! Looking forward to my next visit here :)
Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. Will definitely return here for another fine meal.
Upon driving up to the restaurant my jaw dropped!!! It is a magnificent building!!!
We were greeted by Emily- she was lovely and accommodating to doing her best to seat us at a table right by the window.
The specialty drinks were prepared to perfection.
My husband had beet salad to start- very good. He had halibut prepared to perfection
I had coconut shrimp appetizer which was just OK. Needed more coconut flavor.
My blackened rib eye was terrific and the broccoli was naturally sweet. Potato’s also were great.
Overall a great special restaurant that I would highly recommend!!
The food and particularly the service were wonderful. The Restaurant is filed with delightful accents that enhance the romantic nature of the environment. We were extremely happy in every way.
Great menu. Pretty setting. Worth the drive
Had both the tuna and rack of lamb special and they were both terrific! Drinks and Service were great as well.
Jedediah is a magnificent place to eat. The food, service & ambiance are exceptional! We ate outside and it was gorgeous, except for the excruciating mosquito bites I got on my foot!! If you plan to eat outside, bring some bug repellent! There were no bugs around that we noticed, but they must have been lurking in the grass!
lovely atmosphere. great staff. appetizer and dessert were great. main course was ok. my husband's steak was not cooked correctly and my chicken had a little gamey taste and was bland.
Greeted warmly upon entering. Dining room is beautiful. Server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. My pork buns appetizer was unbelievable. My short ribs with homemade gnocchi and squash equally impressive. My wife’s butternut squash soup was delicious and her chicken dish had unbelievably fresh vegetables and moist flavorful chicken. A minor issue. The red wines by the glass menu only has LI wines, no California or Italian. I get it. It’s Long Island wine country but at least a California cab or Italian red would be nice.
Great North Fork restaurant, great food, great service and amazing grounds and building!
Best restaurant of north fork
Server was outstanding- knowledgeable, friendly & efficient. The occasion was a 25th wedding anniversary, which was noted when the reservation was made. However, there was no acknowledgement except “good wishes” on the way out. We hoped to be seated in a room fitting the event, but instead, our party was seated in an ordinary corner of the casual solarium. As for the food, nothing special in that department either. Appetizer heirloom & peach salad was fair, four duck wings were satisfactory. Main courses were respectable except for the steak- thin & flavorless. The guest left half of it.
We used an Open Table dining award- very disappointed. The award was for amassing 10,000 points & had a dining credit of $50-$100 toward our meal. This restaurant’s policy was to give the smallest award amount of $50! After numerous Open Table meals, this was hardly worth it & very cheap on JH part.
Our waiter was the best part of the meal.
So, the evening’s saving grace was our waiter - he was exceptional!
