Chef Jean Georges introduces Jean-Georges at Topping Rose House, a casually chic restaurant, located in the beautiful community of Bridgehampton, New York. Here, Jean Georges celebrates the seasons, presenting a true farm-to-table cuisine, using ingredients grown on the property's one acre farm and sourced from the area's reputable fishermen and farmers. The restaurant's interior, designed by Wolfgang Ludes, features modern sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant's lighting, designed Hervé Descottes, employs ceramic and wicker shades and Edison fixtures to create an understated beach-chic ambience.

With a formal dining room, full bar/lounge, and outdoor patio seating with communal tables for large parties, along with a fully-restored barn for private dining, we are equipped to accommodate events of all sizes, from intimate dinner parties to full-scale weddings. Come join us!

Disappointing
Room less than half full and after requesting a quiet table in the corner were refused rather bruskly and then seated next to a 4 top who had just been seated and we could hear every word of their conversation
Again asked to move but.....
We moved the table ourselves to create some distance
Service was okay but not attentive
And since we were celebrating a birthday which we informed when making the reservation and before we were seated and again with the waiter
One person ordered one scoop of ice cream not the person’s whose birthday it was and it came with a candle in it!!
REALLY
We have been to so many restaurants that do something special

And nothing!!!

Les ambiance and the service were excellent. They served us a platter of cheeses which were excellent, but did not bring any bread or crackers and forgot to put a knife or fork. The food was otherwise excellent. A very nice experience overall.

Thanksgiving dinner , ran out of bread , glassware , and steak. So we were forced to eat there because at 8:00pm on thanksgiving what were our alternatives. Use to be one of my favorites not any more. Horrible experience. And to top it off no pun intended I had my favorite chef from la grotto restaurant in Atlanta ga. Visiting for the holidays and I had been bragging how great it was this summer. He laughed all the way back 😟home.

After a fantastic time last year at JG, this year's visit was less than satisfactory. And it could have been so easy for the front manager to remedy the complete failures in the kitchen.

I ordered a burger medium-rare. It arrived totally raw on the interior and I showed to the server who promptly removed and told me they would prepare a new one. We were a party of six and I watched as the other five guests ate their meals. The wait was obscene for the second burger to arrive, my guess is 20 minutes. The second one arrived and it appeared that the kitchen continually pressed on the meat, the original was plump, and the second was much thinner and falling apart. And the interior was a gray mass of overcooked beef. I called the server over who promptly brought the manager. He asked if I would like anything else. I told him no thank you, we had already waited 20 minutes for the second burger and I did not want to have our table wait yet again.

We ordered dessert.

If you notice, the word "apology" does not appear above, because it was not mentioned.

Overall, the kitchen failed miserably and the front of house staff did not handle this well at all.

Different than Summer experiences. Salad was beyond consuming as it was all lemon dressing. Replaced with another salad after waiting until almost the entree. Lamb was ok. My other diners were not impressed with theirs either. Disappointing.

It was restaurant week and so at $29.95 for 3 courses, it would be hard to beat. And you can bet Jean Georges Vongerichten would not serve anything that was not up to his high standard; even during this event. Very pleased - thank you!

Wow! What a great Sunday night dinner at Topping Rose for Long Island restaurant week.
There was a hoard of well healed Hamptons' seniors, but the staff at the restaurant coped very
well. The quality of the food was top notch, but (too bad) ran out of the steak just as I was ordering it.
Pumpkin Risotto was wonderful, lobster main course worth the $12 upcharge. All in all,
a meal like this for $30; you can't beat it!

We did not know it was LI Restaurant Week on the evening we went and only the special 3 course menu was available. While the food and wine was a very good value some of the dishes we ordered were not of the usual quality of Topping Rose. It was our oversight and will not stop us from dining at Topping Rose in the future or from recommending it to others.
As always, the service was fabulous.

Went for restaurant week. Warm chocolate cake was great. Chicken sauce with artichokes was really good but not great batter on the chicken; chicken was moist. Crudo was overwhelming with jalapeño. Sancerre was very light and not one of the best. Will go back for their regular menu.

It was my birthday. We had dinner for 6 friends. Perfect evening in every way. Staff is outstanding. Seems like we tried the entire restaurant week menu between the 6 of us - and everybody was thrilled with their choices. They decanted a special magnum of wine we had brought with us without a fuss - and provided perfect, seamless service. Cannot wait to go back. They have never disappointed us in 6 years of dining there. Thank you to the entire team.

Three of our party of 6 ordered the steak, surcharge $8 each on restaurant week menu. More than half of the steak was streaked with gristle and inedible. One diner had the lobster, again surcharge, and it was dry and tough. This was a birthday dinner for a teenager, and when the waiter took our dessert orders, we asked for a candle on her cake. I didn't arrive with a candle. Our waiter spent half the time we were at dinner conversing with three young women at the adjacent table.

We have always loved Topping Rose and have eaten there many times over the years. This is the first time we were so disappointed.

This was a Long Island restaurant week, so $30 (not including wine) is a good deal, but I’m always put off when the menu is not the regular menu. I understand they can’t offer. $42 cuts of meat, but other places I’ve been to give you a choice of what’s on their every day menu, usually chicken, pasta, and a fish dish. The staff is friendly and efficient, it’s a nice place, but the food was a step down from the best restaurants in the area

Everything in and around The Hamptons is dreadfully overpriced, but at least at Jean-Georges there is real value for money. The room is somewhat Spartan, but the service and the food are top notch. Tender fried calamari, perfectly cooked local fish and delicious al dente pasta all shine and show the great chef’s control over the kitchen. Don’t bother with anywhere else.
