The team was excellent. Eduardo our server was patient and very helpful with the menu...the rest of the team equally friendly, helpful and attentive.
The food was delicious! You can't go wrong by choosing Jaleo/DC!
Amazing food! I’ve been here twice and every time I bring family or friends here it always blows their mind. The service was great always on point. Definitely will come back here again when I visit DC.
Really good food, interesting wines, and generous portion sizes.
Food was delicious and our server was attentive. We drove 90 minutes one way for dinner and would do this again.
Very dissapointing experience for a michelin awarded restaurant. Service was poor and slow. Wine arrived after appertizers, and the servwr dint know much about the menu or tasting menu.
Very fast and accurate service.
Easily one of the best Spanish restaurants in the area with delicious and diverse choices on the menu.
We love this place. It's one of our favorite DC restaurants. Highly recommended. We eat here every chance we get.
Great place for after work drinks, tapas, and get togethers! Service is always superb! Highly recommend!
Jaleo never disappoints. It is a delight from start to finish. The food is always delicious and expertly prepared. It is hot from the kitchen and never seems to be waiting to be picked up. Service is gracious and efficient with a sprint of fun and conviviality. For a restaurant that is going on twenty years, it is amazing how Jaleo always seems new and fresh.
Excellent service and suggestions. All in masks and being protective. Wonderful tastes in all the dishes. Will go back!!
Dinner on vacation, great experience
Great experience! Half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays was a nice surprise!
Service was absolutely horrible. Staff immediately noticed the party had two young children and decided to seat us in the back right next to the kitchen. Waiters were very pushy and impatient, staring at our party waiting for us to leave after the bill was paid. The atmosphere felt as if we were Unwelcome. I will not go back there again, and highly DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone who has to bring kids.
The patatas bravas (fried potatoes), berenjenas con miel (eggplant with honey), flamenquines (pork roll), Vieiras (scallops), custard, and aroz de leche were all amazing!
The Bunuelos (cod fritters) were so salty.
Great service and ambiance!
Hostess Reyna made the night perfect after we had a nasty experience with her manager. There were plenty of open tables and the manager who was hostessing made us stand out of spite until exactly 7:45pm. Even though table was ready at 7:42 pm. I said so you want us to just stand here 3 min? And she said, “Yes, actually 4 min.” According to her clock.
But Reyna was extremely apologetic and super sweet. She should be the manager. Thanks Reyna.
Drinks were great the gin and tonic. Music to loud and not good music. Wait staff was great
Always excellent food and service at this restaurant.
The rabbit was so tender and the patatas bravas are always delish!
Totally authentic tapas. The chicken croquettes are the same as those I had in Granada. Love the arroz con leche! Service is quick and friendly. Wonderful Spanish wines. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Everything was perfect — service, ambiance, tasting menu, drinks. I can’t recommend Jose Andres’ restaurants enough.
This was our first visit to Jaelo and it was great. I am a big fan of Jose Andres and I was glad to finally make it to one of his restaurants. My wife and I had come from a memorial reception so we were not very hungry but we had three plates that were all outstanding. In fact, I had another order of the chicken plate for my desert. We are looking forward to a return visit to try one of the tasting menus and the Sangria, which looked great as it was being carried out to the outdoor diners. I am sorry to hear that the restaurant in Crystal City closed. I walked past it several times a week when I was working in Crystal City and I was hoping to dine there but the DC location was great. Thanks!
We have been there many times, food is consistently good. Love it
I was super excied
In town visiting family. Best Spanish Tapas restaurant we’ve experienced! Will definitely return!!
Great flavors, great value, and we never felt rushed. Definitely recommend.
Awesome y delicious
The food was phenomenal. As was the service.
Did the José experience. It was great!
The tasting menu was terrific
Patatas bravas that will rock your world! Be sure to also get the croquettes. The food is so delicious there and the service is top-notch! Plus the owner is a great guy, need to support people who do the right thing.
A fiend and I shared two three-course meals. We enjoyed a wide variety of foods, all perfectly prepared, distinctive, flavorful, amply portioned, and brought to us by an attentive, thoroughly professional server who apparently paid attention to our table and knew the exact perfect moment to clear the table and serve new dishes. In the best of times it must be hard to find and retain expert chefs and wait staffs. That is an even more formidable challenge in the pandemic era. But Jaleo certainly knows how. A superb dining experience!
Great location, great food and service (Ricardo was excellent), but it was pretty busy and slightly crowded - book early and watch out for events at the Capital One Arena.
So unfussy, it's easy to overlook how good everything is. Relaxed, fun, delicious.
We love the prix fixe lunch at Jaleo's! It's our go-to meal following a matinee at the Shakespeare Theatre. The selection is great, with just enough choices to satisfy every yen, be it salad or soup, spinach or potatoes, shrimp or chicken or something vegan. Everything is perfectly prepared, yet the portions are modest enough so that even those with the most meager appetites can manage. It's a lot like a tasting menu, and just right for the middle of the afternoon. I prefer one of the house wines to the sangria, which I find too sweet, but that's a personal choice. I highly recommend this.
Plenty of outdoor tables and the lunch specials are wonderful.
The Paella was just okay. I would not order it again. It was bland and the shrimp was overcooked.
Fun and nice vibes . Great sangria
Jaleos is one of my favorites. Took the time to look at the decor...needs to look more like Spain. A little too much Mexican
influence in the recipes but still delicious. Love the Canary Island spices. Service a little slow but everything is nowadays. The staff did wonderful work and hustled everywhere. Thanks for working.
Great food and service
