Food was good but 2 orders were wrong, plus drinks were wrong. Extremely slow, poor service even though it was not busy. Server did not even apologize or try to correct anything that was wrong. Dirty dishes were not cleared. Would not go back due to service unfortunately.

Food was wonderful, with some good recommendations from waiter. But service was slow and our waiter did not seem to know the menu very well. Would not not allow for a substitution for an item that diner was allergic to. But would go back for the fab sweet potato gnocchi!

The bar is beautiful and the cocktails are delectable. The food, especially the mussels, was delicious. A real bonus was that you could actually hear each other talk without yelling! Will definitely seek this place out again.

We were supposed to be seated in the bar at a high top but the hostess found us a more romantic window table in the dining room. Awesome. All our food was delicious. Kale Cesar, Brussel sprouts were delicious but a little over-sauced, salmon excellent and sweet potato gnocchi was superb but could have included a bit more pork. Wine list was a bit limited but good. The portion control was a little odd.

Meal was solid, although scrimpy on the protein portions. Made up with it with lots of potatoes, for example. The donut french toast was good, although inconsistently sugared (really good crusty sugar coating).

This is a unique bar with custom cocktails right downtown near many shopping and event venues. If you enjoy cocktails, beer and wine more than food then this is the place for you. The menu is a bit pedestrian. The outdoor seating area is wonderful and we highly recommend sitting in this area of the restaurant when you make your reservation. The service was excellent from the hostess, to the waiter, to the coordinating/clean up staff.

Overall a great evening ... there was initial confusion on the fact there's actual 2 different spaces Ivy which was heavy on the food less on the cocktails and Varley was less on the food and heavy on the cocktails and we were unaware of this

Great night! So many reviews raved about the Everything Brussels dish and they were spot on. Soooooo good! Chorizo Fried rice was a bit undercooked, and needed more flavor, beet hummus was fantastic. The drinks....Hibiscus Margarita was heavy on the sour so I switched it up for the Lavender and that hit the spot as did the trash tiki. Rin, our server was amazing and had great follow-up throughout our time there. Will definitely go back.

Lovely place in the heart of Salt Lake City. This place was very welcoming and warm upon arrival. The cocktail list was interesting, and the drinks tasted great. We had the Brussels Sprouts for an appetizer and they were delicious. I could have ate them for my whole meal! They also accommodated me and made my entrée vegetarian. The Gnocchi was delicious! My partner had the steak and loved it as well. The vibe was very good, and overall I'd love going to this place all the time if I lived there. Great service.

I made a reservation for four people and the reservation ended up being at the bar not at a table. I did not see this explained when I made the reservation online. It was very difficult for the four of us to have a conversation sitting in a straight line. The host told us she could get us a table if we wanted to wait and not order food. After waiting for an hour without ordering food sitting at the bar we were told we could not get a table. I will not be coming to this establishment again. The food was good not exceptional or anything I would have to go back for. The parking is a huge issue.

Cocktails were good. But they brought the wrong drink the first time around. Service was meh…. Shouldn’t have to ask servers to clear empty/dirty plates from the appetizers. They were there for a while, finally asked to have them removed. Food was good, not great. Salmon was overdone. Yea, 3 Stars. Good, not great.

Good overall, slow service. Only had two Cholula’a for the whole restaurant so we couldn’t get one. They brought a tobacco sauce that was covered in dust. Overall we really liked the place. Need help on the hot sauces.

I come here at least 3x a month. Usually for brunch, which is a much better experience. This time was exceptionally bad. The music was club volume so it was impossible to talk to each other at out table and our server was so bad we had to ask for every little thing (dining utensils, water, to order). It was a bummer.

The food was ok. One dish (the kimchi rice bowl) was delicious but everything else had too many flavors being combined into one dish, resulting in many of them falling flat or being too overwhelming. The service was not good. They were friendly and polite but didn’t bring serving utensils even though they knew we were sharing everything, didn’t come back to take our drink orders the entire meal, and kept calling us “you guys.”

This place has become #1 casual Sunday dinner time with my boyfriend. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the shrimp and grits are delicious. I always get the Brussel sprouts and the Thai coconut curry mussels. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a super nice place to have some bonding time with their S/O. This place also accommodates groups well.

Went to brunch and enjoyed mimosas, the american breakfast, and lemon and blueberry pancakes that were to die for. I could have used another mimosa but I love the Ivy. The atmosphere is perfect and modern. Great value for your dollar here.
