They really need to work on getting the tables food delivered together. Some was very late. They also stopped the food/drink specials which was an attraction of the place.
the food was ok and reasonably priced, but two members of our party did not receive their meals until after the rest of us had finished - there is no excuse for this.
Wait staff seemed disinterested in providing a reasonable level of service. The food was nothing to write home about. We had the gnocchi which was store bought, the rocket salad which was a basically $8 for a bunch of rocket, and the ribs which my husband said were good. There was apparently a children special on Sunday which nobody told us about even though we had to ask twice to see the children’s menu.
Great place for a catch up drink with friends and then a meal together later.
Pretty noisy on a Friday night with drinkers spilling into the meals area but I
suppose that's to be expected in a popular hot spot.
Food and drinks always top class!
Good prices and value. Friendly staff. Not too noisy. Free beer schooner with menu item a great deal, hope it continues. Need to work on getting peoples food arriving together but otherwise all good.
Most enjoyable dinner with friends at Ivy & Jack, food delicious, service great, atmosphere spot on. Will definitely be back.
Food was great came out fast.
Very poor table service. Constantly looking for waitress asking her to take food orders. No drinks service.
No offer of dessert or coffee. Your sales would have been higher if we had been served!
was a great afternoon out to see the Curious incident of the dog in the nighttime at the Maj!
They had given away our table when we got there, we were on time.
They did put another table together for us at the back of the restaurant.
The service was good but not exceptional.
Three of us liked our meals but my husbands steak was almost inedible, it was gristle and tough.
We used two Entertainment cards which made it reasonable value, but we wouldn’t have been happy to pay in full.
The ambience was good and it was busy.
The chairs were very nice.
Really good food. Perhaps need more wait staff as hard to get hold of them and the bread didn’t arrive. However the food when it arrived was great. A bit stressful before seeing a show in case the meals late.
Good venue for a night out with a group of friends. Nice simple food, attentive wait staff and a good vibe. We were going to the theatre so couldn’t relax over our meal but it was well lcated for His Majestys Theatre and much better priced than others in that locality
Nice hot food! Fresh juice and coffee is included which is the best!
The only drawback was the long wait between each person's meal order. Seemed like there was only one chef on duty. Apart from that we all enjoyed our meals and will definitely visit again.
I was very disappointed with the service provided on Saturday . The staff were unfriendly and disinterested in providing any customer service. It felt like we were inconveniencing them by ordering and requesting special requirements. Unfortunately I will not be returning for another meal
The service was a little slow, food was value for money.
Fabulous food, wonderful customer service and the ambience was warm and cozy. Kids had a blast chilling out, pigging out on delicious pizza and colouring. Only issue we had was my teenage daughter ordered a main salt and pepper quid and didn’t get many with a bit of rocket salad on the side. Would have preferred the menu state no chips with it - a heads up for the price paid :)
Thank you for the kids eat free school holiday special. The food was excellent and very prompt service. We will be back.
Finally! A dining venue that caters for adults and families alike! While the food was fairly simple, the atmosphere and options for the kids allowed for a stress free lunch!
Nice dinner before the P!NK concert. It was very busy when we arrived. Luckily we had prebooked a table. Nice food and drinks, but the service was a little slow. We had a lovely time though.
They portray a kid friendly dining experience and offer a range of things (colouring etc) but we got nothing. Service was poor as we waited to be seated for 5 minutes. Buffet food was dry and tasteless. Wouldn’t go again. No wonder they offer kids eat free in the holidays..
Good pub food and Beer at a good price. Good specials. Very unlike Perth
Great vibe, good food and service. Love going there for afterwork drinks/happy hour and catching up with friends.
Great food n drinks
Restaurant is lovely, boys enjoyed their lunch special, our arancini was a bit tasteless but still was ok. Would eat there again.
Lovely lunch before the ballet. Good food, great service, great experience
I found the service for ordering extremely slow, had to wait around 10 minutes in a line before we could order and there was only 2 people in front. The drinks then took another 20 minutes after that to arrive and we only ordered a bottle of wine! The staff were friendly though and the tandoori salad was AMAZING!
food decent, plates and side plates where smelling as if not washed properly.
Great package deals for special occasions. Loved pancakes for Easter and Mother's Day package was great!!! Should have special pancakes all the time. Great option for brunch with kids, while out in the city on the weekends.
Went here for a dinner with a group and from the start the service was slow. The staff were friendly enough, but just slow in coming back to you.
The food was really bar food standard and I found it to be a typical hotel type fare.
The food was bland, but portions were ample.
They missed several drinks, but still added them to the bill.
Very accommodating with menu changes which made for a pleasant experience. Helpful staff.
We went for the Moana Adventure party in the school holidays. Food was fantastic especially as the kids ate for free, 2 free kids meals with one main adult meal. I had the burger which was delicious, beautiful soft bun and juicy burger with fresh ingredients. Kids meals were fantastic and great to see a decent sized pizza for a kids meal which actually satisfied my 9 year old sons hunger. Meals came out quickly and staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Love the food here and with offers and these special occasions we’ll definitely be back. My 5 year old daughter loved meeting her idol Moana and it was a very special day 🌺
Had the pancakes which were stale, cold and over priced service was terrible even though we booked table we did not get shown to a table just told to take a set, service was slow, had to find our own menu. Would not recommend this place to anyone nor would I take any one there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our thirsty Thursday and our waitress was fantastic
Good variety on the menu, food was not bad. Had the salmon, whilst not crispy skinned the salmon meat was cooked perfectly.
Service was poor, like the bar staff were very inexperienced in their roles & couldn’t do more than one task. There was also two periods when there was one staff member on the bar and 3+ customers waiting for service.
Food was a long time coming out, considering we only ordered a main and starter to come out at the same time.
The bread was cold on the starter platter & the fish over cooked in the Malai Curry.
Not a good first impression.
This was very disappointing. Both our friends and I have eaten here before and it was nothing like the experience we had last time. Our friends ordered the Chicken and Salmon and were happy. My husband had the Seafood Curry and I ordered the Barramundi. My husband said the curry was the worst he had eaten, it was not full of flavour which a curry usually is. My fish was notice Barramundi at all, although I was assured by the chef that it was. There was no skin (crispy or otherwise) and the texture and flavour was nothing like Barramundi, it was more like snapper. That aside my meal was OK. The service was extremely slow, it took over an hour to get 2 entrees, I think we had been forgotten. We would not return for dinner but their lunches should still be OK.
Difficult to recommend an appropriate occasion to visit this restaurant. Perhaps happy hour or after work drink rather than a special meal occasion. The meals were not satisfactory - salmon was overcooked a big no no! and the accompanying salad was mainly canned corn.
The beef was more well done than medium and the accompanying sauce over seasoned with garlic.
The wait persons were enthusiastic but not trained. I appreciate that use of trays for serving drinks in close quarters is too difficult, but handling wine glasses like a can of beer is just not appropriate.
Not a place for a quiet meal as another reviewer stated.
Everything was great except they brought out our meals almost 10 minutes appart, so 30 minutes to the third person getting their meal. Suggest we all get our meals together next time.
Also offered us table water, but then never brought any over.
went to ivy and jack for valentines day dinner. food was alright, not too shabby, ambience was good and staff was polite and friendly.
overall not a bad experience
I chose Ivy & Jack for their kids eat free night. Having four children it’s great to go somewhere that covers two kids meals for one adult.
I would highly suggest colouring in pages or a paper tablecloth and crayons for each family. We had to wait a long time for our meals and my children became restless and bored. Complimentary breads or something whilst waiting would be good too. (Or get starters out a lot faster). Overall it was ok.
