    Very long waits for cocktails. Both orders required prompting back to waiters before they were brought. Food also took a while to arrive but was reasonably tasty. No one seemed to be in charge or directing the best use of limited staff. Existing staff seemed to be chaotically organised with lack of role clarity. There wasn’t a consistent person waiting our table. The first time someone proactively checked is everything was alright was after we’d resolved the problems and were ready to go. Overall a reasonable venue and food but spoiled by disorganisation and poor management, as well as a lack of hospitality.

    The Lunch special was not available as it finished on 30th November the day before. After a discussion with staff it was then a choice of 2 specials offered. One meal arrived for our table of 5 about 15 minutes after ordering and then the other meals were delivered over the next 20 minutes. This is not good as meals should be served at the same time. One of the Thai chicken salad was presented well but the other arrived without any Asian dressing. Our group has been coming here after Morning Melodies for several years but we have now decided to seek another venue for our catch up lunch.

    We booked for 5.30pm to be at the opera at 7.30pm. We were finished with an hour to spare. The service was prompt, and the food was good, honest pub-fare. I asked for the beef in my Thai salad to be blue, and it was delivered just as I like it. The toilets were spotlessly clean. We'll definitely be going again!

    Average food at average prices. Unfortunately Pesto Pasta was very oily. Although the service was great there was nothing to make me want to return.

    Second time visiting this restaurant. We weren’t very impressed with food or service the first time but thought it may have been an off night and knew it is kid friendly (we had 3 kids & 4 adults) so thought we would give it another go, A bit of a wait to get seated - it took awhile for someone to come and greet us. We then placed our orders - all on the same table number, two separate transactions straight after one another. One kids meal came out, shortly followed by two adult meals. The chicken parmigiana was dry and bottom burnt - I could hardly cut through the crust! Steak sandwich was ok but I’ve had better! Kids nuggets were mainly batter with hardly any filling. These three meals were finished before the other 4 meals came out! We reminded the staff about the other 4 meals. Waited some more. Went to leave & ask for a refund and the two steaks came out. Steaks were great. Had to ask again where the other two kids meals were. Finally they came out. Again the same - hardly any chicken in the chicken nuggets! We asked if they had any kids activity packs - as they previously did. Was given one (already drawn on) colouring book to share between 3 kids. All in all it was really disappointing and embarrassed that we brought our out of town guests here.

    We have been going to Ivy and Jacks since February and have enjoyed it. Our last experience was not good, our booking was not there and we had to wait for nearly an hour for two of our meals to arrive and that was after asking twice for the meals to come. Patrons who came in after us, were all served with their meals before we were served. We will not be going back after that experience.

    Food was excellent however despite booking a table this wasn’t available and so was asked to put to tables together Had to wait for some time to be seated and then when our tables were put together, our server left and we weren’t sure if we needed to go to the bar or whether it was table service. Felt like service was lacking but food was good. Not many GF options however

    Food took forever to orderz with so many questions per item and so few staff to take them. When we needed chips as our mains were so small, I then had to jump up from my table and wait 10min at the till to order some. By the time I got back to the table my salmon was coldz my colleagues had eaten their meal and the chips arrived 15min later.

    Our booth had been given to someone else when we got there. How ever snorted table was found. I was advised that as I booked on the day it was too late ! If that is the case then it should not have allowed me to book. However I appreciated that they did find us a table in the dining area. Food as always was delicious. Only fault is service is very slow

    Overall a good experience with food being very good. Service was a bit slower than expected - perhaps due to the size of the group - on the night, but overall would recommend for small group dining.

    We arrived for a 7.30 booking, ordering some drinks and then meals for our table of 8 at around 8.00pm. At 8.45 we asked where our food was, to be told by a bartender he will ask. He came back and apologised for the wait and our food was brought out 2 minutes letter. The disappointment in the food is an understatement. I ordered the Rigatoni Ragu, which was cold to the point the pasta was stuck together in a big blob. Other dishes were also cold, only positive was the chips seemed somewhat freshly cooked. Will not return.

    Only downside was we booked for 10am as that was only available time, we didn't know we would only have 30 minutes before the restaurant shut. The restaurant was 25% full so we could have got there earlier and had longer to enjoy breakfast

    What a real disappointment. Food is overpriced, steaks came out cold. The “side vegetables” for $12 had 4 small vegetables in the pot. The service was horrendous. The lady who served us even agreed how awful it was and she had only been working there for a few weeks. The manager really didn’t have a clue what was going on, completely away with the fairies. Honestly, go somewhere else. The Maccas down the road is cheaper with better service.

    We ordered the cheesy garlic bread for $15. It had slices Kraft singles melted on top! The kids toasty was terrible. Pesto pasta much too rich. The service was good, although we were turned away without a booking. We made an online booking and came back 5 min later. We were compensated for the cheesy garlic bread with a round of drinks. Head there if you want drinks and hot chips. Maybe a burger.

    Strange to have coffee on the menu but not allowed to order it as it was after 6pm on a Saturday night. I could understand if it was close to closing time but it was only 6:20pm. The lemon meringue tart was disappointing as the sugar in the meringue was not dissolved so had a gritty texture. Thankfully the main meals were good.

    Delicious food and the staff were very helpful. We were directed to our booth for our meal which was comfortable and cosy. Just make sure when you request a margarita that its the cocktail and not the pizza that's ordered, luckily I realised before it was made and the staff quickly rectified the issue. My cocktail and the food was delicious and I would eat there again. A lovely restaurant to visit before our show at His Majesty's theatre.

    My booking was made through Open table, this was a simple process. We Arrived on time and were seated to our reserved table. Tap water was offered and we were told to attend the bar to order food and drinks ( Which was fine) We placed 2 separate orders the first was for a bottle of Champagne and a main of Salmon, the second order was for one cocktail a main of Salmon and a main Chicken. The person serving us seemed to not interested in her job or any kind of service, she gave us the bottle of champagne in a bucket of ice unopened. We sat down at the table and opened our bottle of champagne and pored our drinks. Less than 2 minutes later a Salmon main meal was delivered to our table, we thought how could this be we only just ordered our food but assumed the rest of the food and cocktail would come out fast as well. Another 5 minutes later, the cocktail was delivered to our table (by a female waiter who looked like she didn't want to be there let alone serve anyone)without speaking or eye contact she placed the drink on the table. We then waited 15-20 mins for the other 2 main dishes. We did note the first Salmon meal was just warm in comparison to the later served meals which were served on a warm plates. We have no complaints of the quality of food, all of which were very tasty and well cooked. We can only assume the kitchen had a spare Salmon dish and delivered to our table to save wastage. The disappointing thing is the 3 main meals should have been delivered to the table at the same time. As the first delivered dish was only just warm my friend had finished eating before the other meals came to the table. When we were leaving we had a very friendly good bye and thanks for coming from a staff member who was at the front desk this was the most animated staff member we encountered. I write this review not for personal gain just for the owners or management to be made aware this was a true account of my experience dated 24/3/22.

    The main advantage for me was easy access to His Majesty's Theatre. We arrived at 5pm. It was very busy with after work drinkers. The food was basic - my penne was very oily and had 3 pieces of tomato in it although described on the menu as tomato based. The waitress was a bit off hand - a busy night and another customer. I have been there on a Sunday afternoon: much quieter and not so busy. So, overall, I would not return.

    I feel more staff are needed, I had to go on the hunt for my own menu, I wasn’t given a straw for my drink, all our meals came out separately with a large amount of time between. On arrival left waiting to be seen for a long time. Staff very friendly and place calm and welcoming. Also the menu online doesn’t match the in house menu.

    Reserved table for 2 on arrival had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. Had no need to reserve a table on a Saturday night but was seated in a poor table considering I had reserved. Was no table service and had to get own table water and Oder food at the bar. Only a small menu with a few options and small portion for the price. $100 for 2 meals and 2 drinks and left hungry and thirsty. Would not recommend

    The did and while experience were nice enough, but the task let down overall was for our friend who has significant allergies. Kudos to the staff who went and checked with chef, but the solution was a salad with steamed chicken breast. When I salad in talking about a bowl full of iceberg lettuce - that's it, just lettuce. No onion No carrot No avocado Just lettuce. This is very poor and my friend left wanting something to eat. The other meals were fine, in fact, my side salad had more variety than my friend's main course. I'm glad my wife suggested adding chicken to it or the main course would have been a bowl of lettuce only. I dread to think how much she was charged for that!! Not great.

    Rated low due to low staff levels trying to keep up with busy restaurant. Food good but was served incorrect wine (don't think they thought we'd notice) after asking for two of same. One served at bar and incorrect at table- I think they ran out. Didn't fuss as staff was trying their best. Lady greeting us at front door looked bored and didn't want to be there.

    The food was divine and cocktails delicious! we looked at the menu online and decided what we wanted but when we got there, both the things we had chosen were no longer on the menu. We asked if we were still able to order them and they accommodated the request with no problem! The pork belly melted in my mouth. And my partners steak was cooked to perfection. Only minor complaint was that there was only one person at the bar taking both food and drink orders so it took a while to order but all in all, lovely experience and I would definitely go back.

    We arrived at 630, ordered not long after - was quite busy at that time . it took an hour to get an entree ( after we asked where it was ). We had to leave at 745 as had a show to get to st 8. By that time there were very few people left in the restaurant but still no main course despite asking . Staff were kind enough to give us a full refund though
