Isles Lane Bar & Kitchen
Like the neighbouring park, Isles Lane draws natural light and greenery inwards, creating an open, modern and verdant space, suited to house up to 400 guests.
With a delicious breakfast offering and coffee from a locally sourced roaster we are exceptional choice for breakfast in our CBD location.
For lunch and dinner the kitchen will bring a modern, gastropub flavour in waves of fresh and seasonal produce from the garden, pasture, sea and sky.
After sunset, Brisbane’s nightlife will replace the corporate crowd, with Isles Lane’s kitchen and bar set to remain open ‘til late seven days a week. In time, events and activations will showcase the iconic park, drawing families and social groups to a new community platform.
Our kitchen is available all day
Excellent welcome, menu explanation and service. Surprisingly limited beer choices. Cool night meant some diners stayed coated. Food was first class in quality, choice, and presentation.
Our server Grace was amazingly helpful, kind and energetic. We had a great time!
While it was very noisy, the door was fantastic. I’ll be back.
Location, ambiance and service were great. The food was pretty ordinary. I Had a business meeting and was pretty disappointed. Both of our meals were overcooked and the flavour was ordinary. I would recommend for drinks and coffees, probably not food though
Too loud, otherwise great the noise level was hard to hear guests and have a conversation - odd for a lunch time location.
Thank You for taking the time to write a review on your recent dining experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Not after this experience - there was no air conditioning and we were not advised of this prior to taking our seats and were very quick to get items on the table so we wouldn’t leave
By the table we left we all needed a shower
I have been there 4 times already and we keep going. We made a reservation to celebrate my friend birthday and eat the awesome dishes the have but unfortunately that day they were serving only “small dishes”.
Thank You for taking the time to write us a review Nence! Our Lunch Menu concludes at 3:00pm Monday to Friday, at which time we reduce the available selections to our Small Plates Menu. This allows the Chef's to run breaks and get prepared for our Al a carte Menu which we take bookings for from 5:30pm. We look forward to having you return between 11:30am and 3:00pm so you may enjoy the full Menu. Or perhaps you might consider booking a table for Dinner from 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Really good rolls with amazing flavour. Good value.
Food is amazing, service is really quick. Only comment would be sometimes the tables for two are a little small. When you are sharing plates it can get a bit tight
I bit hard to find, as I’d always thought of the location as “Post Office Square”, but a friendly welcome and nice selection of food and drinks. Obviously a regular after work gathering place for city workers, but a choice of tables and spaces.
This is my third time back with groups of different people! Love it - they love it and we will all be back! It is a favourite!
Great atmosphere and environment. Food was mostly very delicious. Group were not keen on the cooked brussel sprouts and wait staff could have been a little more attentive.
Some loud construction started in the building next door after we’d finished our meals and waiter generously deducted a round of drinks to compensate.
Would go again.
Excellent service quick friendly and attentive.
Outstanding venue manager Tegan.
Thank You Sharon
Fantastic menu, with great choice and ease of selection. Comfortable seating and pleasant layout.
We had a fabulous night. Even managed to change tables wit the assistance of the staff due to the noise. It was a great night and we will come back again...and again!
Great place for dinner, meeting or a quick drink! Service was goon and food was very tasty. Will comeback for sure!
Obsessed with this place! The food is consistently sooooo good.
Fantastic food quality and sp very innovative- extremely fresh
The staff were excellent including setting up the table with balloons for the birthday celebration. The booth style table was great for a family dinner. The food was delicious with ample servings. The only downside was that the lamb was a bit dry. Perhaps we should have spoken up earlier and asked for some extra sauce to go with it.
This was our first time to this restaurant and won't be the last.
Quality food at an affordable price, very good service and served quite quickly.
We both loved it and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
I've been here 3 times already and have no intention on stopping! This is my favourite place to eat in the whole of Brisbane CBD.
I feels like the menu looks really good, portion are big, good value for money, however the food miss the mark in term of taste and presentation has the same garnish on every plate and lack of that wow factor. But everything else was good , service was great but no fresh juices a let down :(
The meal and the service was very underwhelming. There was no indication that it was table service and we felt very rushed to order our meal. For the price there was too much greenery with our mains. The chicken was undercooked and we where given bruised, old avocado. I would not recommend going here for a meal. Maybe for a drink with friends.
The staff at Isles Lane are fantastic - always friendly and speedy with their service.
I've been there 5 times and the food has been great every time.
I love the location - spilling out onto Post Office square gives it a good vibe.
And the steins are great value if you're having beers.
Excellent spot in the city to escape and enjoy a great locally produced meal paired with yummy wines while watching the world go by. Friendly staff who know their stuff.
Great place, the service is fantastic and the lunch menu is really lovely and reasonably priced.
Last minute booking to take interstate colleague for lunch. Good service, excellent food and fresh orange juice was delicious!
Went for a work lunch with a small group. All ordered the $12 rolls and most were really dry - meat overcooked. We had to ask for gravy to be able to eat them. Good selection of drinks and service was good. Set up is homely and relaxing.
Helpful and friendly staff, happy hour until 6.00pm, enjoyed it.
I could not rave enough about this place! I went for the first time about 3 weeks ago with my work colleagues and the food was INCREDIBLE. Light, healthy, yet satisfying and incredibly tasty. What put the cherry on top was the amazing provided service by "Raka" (short blonde hair, petite frame, Asian heritage). I made a point of telling the manager the SECOND time I went. She was so attentive, polite, lovely and just great. She even suggested what dishes she 'highly recommended' in which we ordered and LOVED. We'll be back again and again. Well done everyone!
The food was exquisite! I was there for a business lunch and my colleague was quoted afterwards saying "I'm a foodie and even I loved it".
Have often been here for work meetings/coffee/drinks, but never to eat, and never at night. Saturday nights in the Brisbane CBD are always quiet so I didn't know what to expect. We arrived just as some other groups were leaving and had the place to ourselves for half an our or so before more groups arrived (it was early - 6.30pm). We basically had our own personal bar staff and chefs for most of our meal! Drinks service here is always great - they know how to make a grown-up's drink, but the food was surprisingly good too. We had haloumi chips to start (ALWAYS amazing), followed by share plates of beer can chicken, root vegetables with pickles and mustard, and some chat potatoes. This is great, low-key sophisticated dining in the heart of Brisbane, away from the tourist traps of South Bank and Eagle St Pier, and closer than the sometimes ho-hum Hamilton/Brett's Wharf strip. Can get noisy when full, but on a quieter night the atmosphere is great.
The food was absolutely sensational and the Friday after work vibe was great.
Delicious food that was great value. Plenty of drink options. It was pumping the friday night I went and had a very cool vibe.
I met a friend for lunch recently at Isles Lane and really enjoyed it. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was really tasty and great value. There was a pretty decent wine list to choose from and our waitress made suggestions, which was great. I will be going back very soon to try the breakfast menu!
The place was busy, our table was ready for us, food came out quickly and the service was top notch.
It may have taken three go for the waitress to get our orders right! It is a nice place to get a “Sunday Roast” lunch during the week!
Great night with nice food and even better service. Very busy and they handled it well. Impressed, we will be back.
Great food, atmos and general vibe. I keep coming back.
