Food was served too fast between the appetizer and main course. Food and service was otherwise great!
This has been our third visit and worst visit. The food was very good but the service and cleanliness was awful compared to our previous visits. The previous visits were indoors and outdoors. We had a Sunday evening outdoor reservation. But as we entered from the boardwalk the outdoor seating was empty and there were tables uncleaned and lemons and trash on the floor I was shocked and really disappointed in the lack of anyone cleaning the outdoor tables so we immediately changed to indoor seating. but I found the service to be noticeably slower than our previous visits. I will chalk this up to lack of quality help since we are in a Pandemic and we really enjoy the food I just hope they get some cleaning help,
Every course was beautiful, freshly prepared, right temperature, my favorite part was the excellent customer service.
First time here, nice casual place, great food, will definitely be back!
Lunch date ! Tacos , salads and drinks all very good ! Service was excellent and kudos for all the covid protocol that is in place !
consistently excellent! Their restaurant week menu was so great with three choices of entrees - I may go there three times in the next week! lol
We enjoyed a special lunch celebrating a birthday. The carrot ginger soup was excellent. We both had coconut shrimp tacos which were excellent. The service was prompt and friendly. Nice experience.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Get the pork chop. It was perfect.
Also had the tagliatelle and t was good.
The drink options were on point and they even have mock tail options.
Two thumbs way up!
Mostly good but not exactly what we were hoping for... risotto on bottom was cold and the halibut on top was steaming and dry. Other entrees and appetizers were decent. Cocktails were good. Service prompt and friendly. Busy Saturday night.
It was OK. I would not rush back anytime soon. Ordered $40 Filet Mignon Medium and it came out raw in the middle. Had to send back while everyone else at my table had their dinner. Our waiter may have had too many tables? He disappeared a lot when we wanted to order additional drinks etc.
I will give it another chance but not in the near future. I know the pandemic has taken its toll on businesses so that may be the case here.
Food was great, pricey but great. We sat on the boardwalk which was great. Could have used patio heaters to make it more comfy
Went to Iron Whale to celebrate at friend’s birthday. Our server was fantastic. He was very attentive & funny. We did the charbroiled oysters & jerk shrimp for appetizers. I barely tasted the oysters & there were only 3 jerk shrimp so didn’t even try one. My drink was delicious! I believe it was called the “El Jefe”. For dinner I had the pork chop which was good. I ordered a side of Brussel sprouts that lacked flavor. I could have done without. Overall it was a nice dinner, but the food wouldn’t bring me back. If I’m in the area I would definitely step back in for a drink, but that’s about it.
Seated at a very uncomfortable table, was not given any other option when asked to be reseated and had no choice but to leave
Great burgers. Great drinks. Definitely recommend
Great menu, lots of choices and gluten free options. Tables were spread out with plexi glass between. Out server was excellent
Excellent ambiance, great food, and superior service
Great food but service was below expectations.
Food was good and the service was also good. It’s a good value.
Beautiful day to eat outside, the oysters were fresh and tasty.
We had shrimp tacos that were great.
Food good pricey but it’s a good place to go
Great dinner with the family! Restaurant beautifully outfitted for privacy and distance. Food was delicious and great service. Would highly recommend this restaurant on the beach in Asbury!
When we made and confirmed the reservation we asked for a window table. We got a pub table behind techs cash register where staff and uber eats picks up stood around our table not social distancing. Terrible table and poor covid standards.
When we asked for the table by the window the young woman at the register said we would have to come back 3 hours later. I indicated on the reservation it was a special occasion. They could not have cared less.
Food was very good. Server was nice but overwhelmed.
Would not recommend this place during covid and it appears only very large groups get window tables even if they confirm you will have one.
Went for brunch with another couple, limited breakfast items but everything listed was delicious. Also pricey around $200 with drinks for four for brunch, wouldn’t do all the time but was worth it
The food and drinks were great. My husband loved the coffee crusted pork chop. Also the El Jefe cocktail was legit! Also had an awesome waitress! We will be back!
Service was professional, constant attention. Food was very good, came out timely. Vibe is fun.
Had to leave because hostess/manager was rude about existing reservation.
Dinner came out cold. No one wanted to clear our small table from apps, etc. before serving dinner- only when asked did they clear our table. Service was not anything to be excited about. This was my first time here and I was excited about the menu and previous friend’s experiences, but I will not be rushing back here. Even the hostess was rude upon checking in when we asked about the chance of sitting inside instead of our reserved outside. There are better places to eat in Asbury for this price range.
We could only get a table outside and nearly froze to death. Food was very good. Ate quickly and left. Will go back.
Very good! Very busy so service does take a bit longer but great experience Non the less.
Decided to have brunch as it was beautiful outside. Service was good and the food did not disappoint. Avocado Toast, Lobster Benedict, Bananas Forster was delicious. The fish and chips could of had a little better crunch to it. The Bloody Mary was good but the Fig Manhattan was outstanding. Overall a very good brunch.
Great menu. Food snd service were outstanding. Compliant with Covid 19 protocols.
Food is dependably good. Waitstaff excellent. Lovely ocean view.
We tried the lobster guacamole for an appetizer which was very good. For dinner we had the filet which was cooked perfect and the other dish was the Halibut special with risotto and chorizo this may have been the best fish dish I ever had and I eat out alot. The prices were average for a Jersey shore restaurant and The ambiance was good. I will be back and I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Was a pretty average experience. Food was just ok. My son wanted to sub out side from $40 steak with French fries and tried to charge us for $6 for that. Annoying. I tried to sub out side on pork chop and they brought out a plate w no side. Poor choice. Not a bad place but nothing special. With only 1 beer it was $200 for family of 4. Didn’t seem worth it. Won’t be back.
We had a very nice time. Felt very safe during these times. Ordered oysters and they were not shucked properly so that was a bummer. Other than that the atmosphere was great. our entrees were delish. Will deff come back!
Had very high hopes for a fine dining experience based on the reviews read. Unfortunately can’t say it lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is nice inside with a nice dimly lit ambience. But the food!!! Ordered the grilled octopus- tastes like biting into a rubber band actually spit it out into my napkin it was that inedible. For our main dish ordered the short rib parpadalle. Absolutely flavorless. At this point I felt too bad to send it back. The waiter was very nice and it wasn’t his fault by any means. We were just over the experience and it was too late to even order something else (and to be honest we didn’t want to). Oh lastly, our dessert (creme brûlée) was very obviously microwaved. Disappointed and can’t say it’s on my list of places I would return to.
Awesome service. Amazing food. Overall great experience and the social distanced seating was great.
The food is always excellent and does not disappoint. My husband had the halibut special with lobster risotto, which was delicious. I had the ‘Gump’ shrimp tacos, which I always like. Drinks are also excellent, especially the Manhattan. We sat towards the back of the restaurant but still had a nice view of the ocean.
Food and Service was amazing!
It was great. Perfect for a night away from the children to celebrate my birthday. We will be back!
