Would recommend to avoid the ribs at all cost. Too much sauce, didnt let the taste of the meat or smoke come out. Steak was amazing though.
Expected more from Michael Mina. Food was just average as was the service. Definitely needs improvement.
Food was fresh, but just ok. Very dry for Kansas City style ribs. Server was excellent, but forgot to put in our starter order. Will try again, with some reservations
Fabulous as usual
Drinks and apetizers were amazing! However we were super disapointed with the ribs!!! Ribs are meant to be juicy and saucy!!! Our were super dry, overly cooked. The mexican style ribs tasted horrible!!!! They had walnuts on them which was very odd...the after taste was not good. Didn’t taste like bbq ribs. Had to go home and put some good amount of sauce and seasoning and back in the oven to absorb everything.
Otherwise cornbread was delicious and the coconut thai soup were my favs. Definitely will go back but NOT for the ribs!!!
If you want to try something different from a grill, don't hesitate to come here.
We started off with the Jerk Chicken appetizer, along with the mushroom. Both very nicely done and flavorful.
The fall off the bone ribs are the Stars of the menu. I got the Korean Style. Unless you have a very healthy appetite, the fill rak is shareable. I recommend getting a half rak, and get some appetizers to get a taste of what this place has to offer. Their Branzino and Chicken were also good if you're not into ribs.
We were superbly attended by Max and his wife (at the bar) and I also recommend that you ask for them as well if possible.
As a side, go for the Mac&rib as well as the brussel sprouts. Great side dishes to go along with the main course.
Overall, we had a good time. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming.
Food sounds and looks delicious but it was not as great as expected . Loved the sweet potatoes with bbq sauce.
Honestly all the food was pretty bad. I ordered 2 half racks of ribs different sauce for each both tasted like pure smoke. I felt like I was eating charcoal almost. Ordered the rib tip mac n cheese and it’s was OK at best, the rib meat topping was cold and the mac n cheese was pretty bland. Ordered the Brussel sprouts, they were ok nothing to rave about, Would be better if they were crispy. Ordered the chicken and waffles (at first I was brought Jerk chicken only, when I mentioned I had ordered chicken and waffles the server brought me the right item but billed me for both!!) the jerk chicken and chicken were good (arguably the best thing we had from our entire order) taste and portion was good. All in all I wouldn’t go back, nothing was really worth the driver or expensive price.
I was recommended to try this restaurant and since then I have had a few people try it based on my recommendation.
Portions do not match the overly priced menu. Very limited brunch menu. Not sure why anyone would go there for brunch. I'd recommend TAP 42 which is right upstairs from this location in Aventura.
Food was delicious. I had the salmon and my boyfriend had the ribs and both plates were outstanding.
Bachelorette and bday
Portions were small. Didn’t have a lot of variety. Service was horrible. Our sever came over with a large food drip stain down her apron. Very unappetizing. You would think she would have been more attentive seeing there were only 4 tables seated for dinner in the whole restaurant. Was disappointed.
The service at this restaurant is incredible. The food is delicious.
We had a reservation but they sat us at the bar
We had to wait and wait and wait to get some water
Will not return
Very noisy and the service was slow. The ribs and fried chicken was delicious. Expensive
If you are ever in the Miami area, you must eat at International Smoke. The food was awesome and tasty. Staff was attentive. I had a group of six and we tried a number of items on the menu and everything was delicious. If you drink, you must try the cocktails. To top it off, the music/playlist was great, so good that my friends got up and danced. Can't wait to go back.
Cornbread 😋 rib tip mac and cheese 😋
I was super excited to try this place but it left me a little disappointed. First off, let me say that the restaurant itself is beautiful, the ambiance is nice and service was good despite my party not knowing who our server was for a little while. As far as the food, it was a little lackluster. I could see the thought behind it but the actual execution just wasn’t there. I had the rib tip mac and cheese which was okay but a little on the salty side. My husband had the cherry bomb burger which ended going back to the kitchen because it was a complete salt bomb. Mind you, my husband isn’t a picky eater and never sends food back. My friend had the fried chicken plate which I thought for sure would be a hit and was actually a total miss. The chicken was sweet instead of salty and the smoke flavor masked any other flavors that might be present. A simple buttermilk fried chicken would’ve been just fine. The greens that came with the chicken plate were flat out bland. The cornbread was good, the mashed potatoes were good and that’s about it.
Birthday. Server terrific. Food just ok but in my opinion overpriced
The ribs are amazing. The rib tip mac & cheese are a must! :)
Food is average at best. We had a burger which was nothing to write home to mom about. The branzino was very good. Tried to sub a sweet potato for brussel sprouts and was told no. Tried to get the pork buns but i was there for brunch and they didn't offer that till 4pm. Music was definitely a plus. The ribs were ok. Had the sample platter which included all 3 types of ribs and i was just not impressed. Probably will not go back. Nice decor and beautiful bar
Great outdoor space, tasting menu was perfect for our group of 9. Plenty of delicious food!
Overall good experience. The interior’s decor was lacking but outside with the garden feel is very nice. The food was very good. Loved the vegetable choices since so many people are heading that way.
I’ eaten ribs in many places. IMHO this St Luois style ribs are on my top 3 list !!!!!!
Also, the brussel sprouts are awsome!
The food is tasty and fresh. Service is excellent and attentive. Really good!
Ayesha Curry's International Smoke has a beautiful & vibrant ambiance but that doesn't compare to the love and flavor put into each dish. The presentation of many of the dishes and the drinks like the cold smoked old fashioned and the beef nachos are amazing. I highly recommend the Branzino, Ribs, and the Cherry Bomb Burger!
The food wasn’t what we expected service was good also it was noisy place
I would recommend it for the ambience and maybe for drinks. I found the brunch menu lacking
The staff was fine but the food is not the quality that you would expect from this caliber of restaurant. The old fashions were awesome but the food was just OK. I would not eat there again.
We sat outside and it was extremely loud due to the valet being right outside the restaurant. The food was very good. The service was good but could be improved upon. Overall, an excellent experience.
This restaurant did not live up to the hype. We were looking forward to going there. The service was terrible. We ordered the tasting menu and waited for a long time to be served. Once we were served everything came at once. Very poorly timed. The portions were minuscule. We were seated outside without given a choice. It was much too hot to sit in the parking lot. I do not recommend this restaurant.
Our experience at International Smoke was amazing. Our waitress SUE was amazing. Everything was perfect. Will visit again. Mother’s Day dinner.
Extraordinary food delicious food and great service!
Service, food and presentation was amazing! If you don't know what to get try the fuego prefix!
It was excellent. 10/10 recommend
So had high expectations on cooking here since it had open and had heard good things. We were a party of 9.
We started off with some appetizers and they were all good but when it came time for the main event the ribs disappointed big time. They were dry and tough. My money is that they were cooked many hours ago and if that kitchen had good management they should never had been served. The sided we ordered were good too but the damage had been done, after all its a rib place rigth?
I told the server about the ribs and she said that it was strange since they were cooked not too long ago but there is no way that applied to our ribs. The manager came after we ordered desserts and said dessert were on the house but he did not address or apologized for the quality of our ribs. Will probably not be coming back. The other 8 on my table feel the same way.
Not sure when they opened but it was super quiet for Aventura Mall, even on a Monday night!
That being said, the decor on the outdoor patio was pretty and even though it was humid, the large fans cooled the area very nicely. The service was fantastic, our waiter truly knew his stuff. We tried the tasting menu at $55 per person, which included a sampling (generous portions) of their signature dishes. We were so full from the variety and abundance of dishes that we had to take half our meal home! Everything was great, outstanding was the jerk chicken and corn bread. The ribs were a bit dry but still very delicious. The snapper was very flavourful and the Sinaloa chicken was super yummy. We were told that this is Michael Mina's 3 International Smoke restaurant with a 4th opening in San Diego shortly.
Would come back but will wait a bit as Miami has such an abundance of great places to try!
