Located near the InterContinental Perth City Centre, Ascua takes the classic grill to new heights. Be mesmerised by our striking open kitchen, showcasing preparation of aged beef and meats, while intimate banquet seating and moody surrounds will pair with service from Ascua’s expert sommelier. Ask our specialised team to suggest the perfect wine to pair with your dry aged 'Butterfield' Beef Tomahawk steak.

Nice evening however I ordered the rump which looked to be cooked perfectly as ordered (it was still very pink) but the meat was actually quite tough and chewy.
Service was great.

The evening was brilliant. Great selection of food coming from the spectacular grill. Prawns and steak were exceptional. Brilliant wine list and service was first class.

This is my second time to Ascua.
Chef (Nick) recommended tomahawk steak, it was so amazing and cooked medium rare to perfection. Waitpersons were friendly and knowledgeable. Love the booth seating. Very private.
Thanks for a lovely experience Acua.

We had dinner before a show at His Majesty's Theatre (which is right across the road). We were asked if we were attending a show and the service was perfect for our timeline. The staff were attentive and efficient. The food was beautifully cooked and presented.

Food was really good, I had the chicken with a side of broccoli. Service was slow given the restaurant was quiet and generally people have limited time for lunch on a business day....Will definitely go back.

Service was unbelievably slow, and we were there for a business meal with meetings planned afterwards. The service was so slow that it impacted our schedule for the rest of the day.

Food was great. Staff were friendly.

The whole evening was fantastic, great service, brilliant food, a great selection of wine and value for money. We will be coing back next time we're in Perth. This place is what Perth needs more of and credit to the owners and staff of the restaurant.

We enjoyed it booked a table for 930pm but we thought we would call past at 830 just in case they could fit us in earlier. Brilliantly they accommodated us on one of their chef's tables. It was great to see the chefs working away and we were looked after very well. Can't go past the fact unfortunately though that on the night we dined, the signature tomahawk steak and oysters were both sold out, and apparently had been so for a few few days prior. It was one of the main reasons to go there and it is reasonable to expect that most people would be upset to be splurging on a night out and not be able to sample what the restaurant was known for, particularly if they knew when you booked the table. Worst thing was they hadn't even bothered to come up with a beef alternative leaving a very limited choice of mains. Very poor form. Restaurant has potential To be great but These are the things that people remember unfortunately.

Fantastic venue. Those complaining about wait times need to understand the style of the restaurant. Being able to enjoy a couple of drinks before entree arrives is awesome. Being able to actually digest your entree before your main is served (most restaurants usually serve main while entree is still being cleared) is a must. Being allowed the time to enjoy our 3 course meal and celebrate the occasion we were at Ascua for was very much appreciated. So often a restaurant wants you out as soon as you have been served, not Ascua. Staff were polite, knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. Food was well cooked and plated with care providing a meal that was exceptional.
Food menu was concise and on point. Wine list was well presented with a good range by the glass and a thorough choice of bottles from local wineries and plenty from further afield.
I will be returning with more friends and family to share this fantastic venue. Thanks guys.

- Had none of the wines requested (3 different ones)
- Few dishes requested not available as kitchen ran out of ingredients
- Steak overcooked, didn't even get asked how we wanted it
- Seafood not fresh and overcooked
- Expensive and definitely not value for money

Wonderful service, sensational food. Good atmosphere. We were able to see the grill from where we were setting - so much fun to see our lunch being cooked that way.

Waiter was superb. Very attentive, completely on to it. Perfect mix of professional, welcoming and funny too!

All in all a nice experience and really brilliant seafood grilling skills... the grilled octopus was out of this world! However, they just can’t cook meat... we ordered the tomahawk medium rare and the first attempt was medium well and the second attempt was just medium. They offered a delicious brisket as an apology. Great service and great seafood grilling skills. Not for meat lovers however...

We had the Octopus to start with. It was beautifully charred and tender inside. The accompanying sauces complimented the dish well and were delicious on their own.. Naturally we mopped up the plate. The Tomahawk steak for 2 was just right if you're a couple looking for a good meat feed. Nicely charred outside and pink inside. We also ordered the corn and it hit the spot. Good value for money considering the water, sparkling or still, and the bread basket were complimentary. We were satisfied with the quality of the food for the price

Overall the food was good but U think the service can be improved. We had to wait for a long time until we can flag a waiter and the person did not give recommendation in terms of portion size and the amount of food. We in the end ordered lesser than expected and have to order more food but was told that it will take a while...

The food was really great and I recommend the scallops.

however we didn't have the best night because we have to wait 50 mins for our mains to come out. The night we went the fire alarm went off but we didn't get evacuated, so we did expect it to take longer but not that long. It was also really disappointing that we saw two parties that order after us get their meals and finish before we had ours. They clearly had forgotten about us because they only said sorry and gave us no explanation to why it was taking so long.
