We ate 3 times at Inkstone during our stay on the Island and it was fantastic every time. The view is amazing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Food arrived quick. Food was delicious. No bad meals here. Highly recommend
Wonderful staff, great food and exceptional views. Would recommend to anyone staying on the Island to eat here.
We ate at Inkstone three time during our recent stay on Daydream Island. The first two times the food was good. On the last occasion it was average at best.
Booked an outdoors table but when arrived we got one behind a pillar.
There were many other tables available, when asked if we could move to a better one, we were told no as they were reserved, even though nobody arrived for hours.
The New Year’s Eve dining menu was a set menu, how ever they were asking for $60 per child and $120 per adult with no other option of meal.
None of this was indicated when we had booked the table a week prior to even arriving at the island.
Very poor service, over priced. Would not recommend.
Wanted $120 a head on NYE for a set menu. Not worth it.
Great location and view. Food is ok. Service is so so.
The staff were nice enough. The service on the whole island needs some fast and serious attention. It was really dismal apart from the occasional person. This sentiment was echoed by everyone we spoke to. They really need to hire someone to sort it out.
Terrible service and ordinary food.
We were told that we would be seated four times. I had made a reservation for lunch which they had no record of. Wine ordered was not available. When drinks finally arrived we had almost finished our meals. Food was ordinary, nothing special and over priced.
First night on Daydream Island had dinner here. Great views food and service.
Returned several times for lunch and breakfast, never a problem getting a table.
Food quality was always good and well priced. Friendly staff and service.
Takeaway pizzas great as well. Well done thanks. Easily recommended.
Our evening at Inkstone was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better service or better food quality- even after being so full from the main course we still managed to squeeze in dessert which was fabulous. Overall, this restaurant was top quality and we would definitely recommend it.
Dined here on two occasions. The first night was disappointing, we ordered gluten free pizza that was doughy and undercooked. The dessert had a tiny amount of the meringue and honeycomb promised in the menu description and was not enjoyable. The second night was great. I think there was a different chef (a Sunday night) and the food was much better. The pudding dessert with butterscotch sauce was exceptional. Service staff were lovely.
Some items on menu were poor value
Waiters staff were excellent
Bar staff were poor
We enjoyed our night immensely.
Our waitress was friendly and helpful.
Food was superb.
We had a seafood tower - combination of fresh and cooked seafood. The fresh bugs and prawns were amazing!! Served with awesome chips and salad. Also had smoked salmon, calamari, fish, crocodile, mussels, cooked prawns ... Plenty for 2 people - we couldn't finish it.
The steak was overcooked, staff did not check how our meals were or if we wanted any additional drinks or dessert, and on check out, we were charged again for the meals that we had already paid for. The menu for dinner was the same menu as was for lunch, and because we ate there twice, there was not much variety to choose from, but there was pages and pages of drinks to choose from. Not child friendly (didn't offer any colouring book etc).
Inkstone was really amazing! Loved the view so much! The only slight negatives were the waiter forgot to mention any of the specials on for the night. I ordered the Moreton bay bug linguine - they were all out of linguine so it was spaghetti- it was lovely but the meat was in tiny shredded bits, I had assumed it was going to be lovely big pieces of bug meat, but it was still great!
