Although it was Restaurant Week with a price fixed menu, it was empty. There was only 1 waiter but he was very attentive. There was no drink list or wine list. The waiter just told us what was available.
We were seated before all of our party was there, so that was nice. We were also able to move to a table in better view of the ball game. Another plus. Waiter was very attentive. Our food was delicious. 3 of us had the encrusted halibut with red pepper sauce. It was delicious. Service was speedy and we made it on time for our show down the block.
Came to grab some food and drinks but kitchen was closing and they don't carry any prosecco. We chose to dine elsewhere and enjoyed the drinks we did have and the bartender was very nice and a pleasure.
Thursday night, the place is empty and it looks like two people working. A cook and a bartender/host/waiter/busboy. Wife got the gnocchi which was over sauces and so over cooked that it was mush. Two appetizers, one entree, two wines and a expresso later we’re gone $100.00 lighter.
This was our third visit to Indigo. The consistency of the food quality is a real plus. The menu is diverse and includes items that will suit almost everyones price range. Two standouts on the appetizer list were the burrata with heirloom tomatoes and the ribs, the latter of which was exquisitely seasoned and literally fell off the bone. We all got the same entree (halibut) which was fresh and stood up well to the red bell pepper sauce. I enjoyed the entree in spite of the the fact that my preference is not to have my fish breaded---that said I'm sure if I had asked they would have accommodated with a non breaded version. Our waitress was very accommodating, and friendly---unfortunately the night we had dinner was her last. The Panne Cotta with blueberries was light with a real wild blueberry compote. And what can you say about Junior's Cheesecake---the real deal and so delicious. I will be going back and strongly recommend this restaurant to whomever enjoys fine dining in a very laid back atmosphere.
We had the filet mignon which was perfectly cooked, flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. I ordered mushrooms on the side which were perfect. Very flavorful, sweet and buttery, not overly garlicky as so many restaurants make them. These were excellent. My friend had the mashed potatoes and they looked so good I asked for a side as well. They were amazing. Everything perfectly seasoned, we didn't touch the salt or pepper .
It was a Monday night and early (6 p.m.) so it was nearly empty and so very quiet. I suspect it would be very popular and possibly noisier later in the week.
I intend to be a frequent visitor in the future. Highly recommended
Food is amazing, service is phenomenal. It’s a little pricey but worth every single penny. I’ve been to famous restaurants in NYC that can’t hold a candle to the quality of food that this place serves. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask for the 4 horseman’s shot.
The place literally wasn’t open at 11 even though it allowed to me make a reservation for that time. So I call them to see when they open and their voicemail says 11:30 AM so we grab a drink elsewhere than go back at 11:30 and guess what still not open.
Very nice and pleasant and food was really good!
I thought the restaurant overall was nice, need more food choices. Also I left my sunglasses on the table, and called the restaurant to see if they had them, I got no answer and had to go on an answering machine, and never got a call back. They are prescription sunglasses. So I was disappointed.
Sassy waiters and Horrible food. I went there during restaurant week, it seems this is a sports bar that tried to pretend to be more upscale and surf on restaurant week wave.
No wine cart at all and food tasted cheap.
Went for the restaurant week deal and loved it! I got the French onion soup as my appetizer and it was delicious. I also got the marinated steak for entree and cheesecake for dessert. Cheesecake was super creamy and perfect! The service was friendly and the bread was really good too
Nicely decorated , went because heard good things, place was pretty empty for a Friday evening waiter was nice enough but slow took about 1/2 hour to get our drinks , forgot to mention specialls. When I ordering was told the dish I wanted was no longer available but they didnt update menus yet. Food was ok nothing special. Bill come was charged for wrong meal. Can get a better steak from the butcher and cook at hone myself for 1/4 of the price
The service was great, the food was delicious and I loved my cucumbertini. We will definitely be going back to Indigo!
The food was good. Service was below par. They need to better train their staff. Bathroom was filthy and did not have paper towels. Fair prices.
Great steak sandwich and excellent creamed spinach , overall a good value , service was great the beer was cold, all in all I’ll be back
Food was good. Service was ok. Restaurant was almost empty but bar was full and extremely loud. Set up is probably amazing when it turns in to a dance club late night. However it was annoying when you are trying to enjoy a quiet night out.
The food was amazing and our waitress was phenomenal.
Dinner was absolutely amazing. Those lobster fries?! Oh my GOD
Long Island Restaurant week so it was busy - the atmosphere was a little noisy but sure that’s why. Bar was crowded as well. - food was delicious - everything was great until dessert - would have been nice to know ahead of time that the bread pudding contained peanut butter - I’m sure it was delicious just can’t eat peanuts. I did not ask to replace it but customer service was excellent so I’m sure they would’ve replaced it. Will definitely be headed back!
Service was horrible and slow, food was over priced and subpar.
Restaurant week, Friday night. Didn’t have 2 of the items my wife wanted as they “just ran out of it” on Friday night at 7:30.
Awful experience, server dropped mussels in wine sauce all over the table and on my clothes. What was disappointing was the lack of concern from the server and manager. The server did nothing to clean up the table and actually came out with another dish without worrying about the mess he made. The manager never offered to provide cleaning for my clothes nor did she offer to comp a drink or part of the meal. The manager did try to clean my jacket which was nice of her. I don’t think we will come back as it’s obvious the customer is not a priority. It’s too bad as our dinner and waitress were very good. Very disappointing experience. Manager needs to step up and put the customer first.
Very pleased with the service. The food was delicious and the presentation was outstanding. Great menu and value for Restaurant Week. Looking forward to returning for another excellent meal.
Horrible, just horrible.
Food was very bland. Nothing special here. Service was good but we will not be going back.
It was horrible. My drink was horrible. We were squished in on the tables against the wall while the tables in the center had all this room. I ordered dinner then found out, only after another dish came out, that they weren’t making the chicken stuffed with spinach and prosciutto and got a bowl of rice with chunks of chicken in a cream sauce. It was horrible. I will never go back again.
Excellent upscale restaurant; A little pricey but well worth it and the service was excellent for New Year's Eve dinner.
This review is for Open Table. They accepted and confirmed my Christmas Eve reservation and when we arrived at the restaurant- - it was closed!
Food and atmosphere were excellent; we had an awesome dinner. Service was spot on; we'll definitely come back again.
Great food.
Delicious. Service A+
Value was unbelievably cheap!! Two entrees and two bottles of wine for under $200
Service was amazing I had an old fashion at the bar it was just what I needed on a cold winter night. I had the skirt steak and it was flavorful and cooked to perfection.
Great lobster fries! The service was great and the food overall was delicious. Wine list does not have many choices.
Had a delicious dinner with lovely service, definitely will be back
This was our first time to Indigo and we were impressed. Service and ambience were great! Food was even better. Unique choices and wonderfully prepared - flavorful and rich. Will definitely be going back!
Great place , great vibe.
Everything was great! It's a very romantic restaurant that is nice and quiet as well. The food was top notch and our server Megan (not sure of spelling), who is also the General Manager, was terrific! She knew the menu cold and was very helpful when my husband had to choose a beer on tap. We would definitely go back.
Was more than expected. Was there for Restaurant week on the last Sunday. Extensive menu, lots of choices for a restaurant week occasion. Pleasant wait staff and hostess. We were a party of 4 had plenty of good wholesome food and happy hour drinks were $5 for a nice size wine glass. We'll come back. New York City atmosphere.
