Starters and main courses were excellent. Puddings were a bit weird. Good wine, good service - very pleasant evening.
The sharing style approach for the £70 per head classic menu was bewildering for a group of 10. I was still hungry, and splitting some of the dishes was not straightforward. To be told afterwards that we could have had an extra plate of each dish to ensure we all had a sensible-sized portion was just rubbing salt into the wound.
Ridiculously good value!
Great food, nice ambience. Continues to impress me. one of the top 5 indian restaurants for me in London these days! Would recommend any day
Great food but downstairs is not very lively
Fantastic vegetarian and vegan tasting menu. Excellent service, flavoursome and delicious food, great ambience!
Fantastic venue, atmosphere and most importantly, delicious food presented in an immaculate manner.
The food was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was amazing. I could not recommend them more.
Visiting London to celebrate one year anniversary with my wife. One of the best evenings of our trip was at Indian Accent. From the moment we walked in staff and team were gracious courteous and professional. Waiter walked us through the menu with great care and guided us toward some amazing selections. We chose several starters and a couple of mains to create what might be one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. Definitely don’t miss the Ghee Roast Lamb!!!
I went to Indian Accent with two friends for a small celebration dinner. The food and service were spectacular. The beetroot chop with peanut butter was surprising and delicious, as was the tofu and shishito pepper starter. The slow cooked lamb pulao and saag paneer kulcha were also quite memorable. The space is beautiful and would also make a romantic spot for a special night out.
Had a lovely evening at Indian Accent, anything and everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely be back soon :)
Food excellent as always, but service still patchy. Brought the wrong drinks, then took 25 mins to replace them with the correct drinks. Good job we checked the bill as both the correct drinks AND the wrong drinks had been charged to us!
The portions were painfully small despite being tasty. Would suit someone with a small appetite or for a quick lunch.
To satisfy a hungry appetite extra dishes would need to be ordered.
The selection of french wines was poor and expensive .
At other restaurants I have had lovely Burgundy wines for less than at Indian Accent.
Today’s experience was in stark contrast to my initial visit in February 2018. Back then I left impressed and vowed to return some day. Fast forward 20 months and they have failed to maintain their initial standard, let alone build on a good start.
Service was particularly ordinary. Staff were not at tentative and lacked finesse.
The competition is stiff and clientele can differentiate between good and bad. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place closes down. Or it could endure and become another Benares...
Great food interesting menu well executed good if somewhat haphazard service sadly massively overpriced wine list
This was altogether superb! Delicious food all excellently presented starting with a glass of fizz as part of the offer;with attentive helpful waiters and attractive surroundings- memorably perfect
Second visit to the restaurant, had lunch with a friend and the food and service were fabulous!!
We were seated in a basement next to a kitchen exit. It ruined the experience. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. Would never recommend.
We had the taste menu and was a lot of little things it just lacked wow factor and to sit next to a doorway with rubble and busboys and waiters congregating was all the worse.
The server was cute and kind nothing more.
Great food
Wonderful tasting menu and interesting matched wines. Professional, attentive service. Highly recommended.
Had to wait for the table and were not given the table they promised on phone (had confirmed twice on phone). But staff were apologetic and kind, and did their best in the circumstances to give is a better table. The manager checked in couple of times to make sure we were doing ok. Food was good, some more than others. Some of the starters and main were amazing but not very impressed by their dessert selection (Ala Carte menu). But overall a good experience.
The food is truly outstanding, a very mild and original take on the Indian cuisine, perfectly balanced dishes, never overwhelming but very satisfying.
I wouldn’t however recommend for a friends night out, since they will rush you out as soon as your 2h slot expires. Maybe a place to chose if you are just looking for great food but are not necessarily interested in relaxing and having a good time.
Outstanding
Was an okay restaurant with good food. Food was very well presented and tasted fine albeit a little sweet. Service was good. What marred it for me was we had quite a bit leftover but the restaurant wont box the leftovers so not sure if just wasted.
I thoroughly enjoyed the carefully assembled dishes that were flavorful and uncommon. A perfect blend of spices, not overpowering nor bland. The service was uncomfortable and overwhelming at times as I was the first table of the evening, placed right near the kitchen and wait station somehow, causing undue attention that was not very comfortable as I felt on display. In the end, a maitre d offered an additional dessert to taste and a glass of dessert wine after we spoke at length about my own culinary pursuits. What he didn’t tell me was that it would add an additional £30 to my bill! As a single-diner, who had to get in and out quickly, I chose the £55 Restaurant Festival price. But spent £83.25 instead. If I wasn’t in a rush, I would have balked. Although a good meal, I was left with a sour taste in the end.
Absolutely amazing restaurant everything from the ambiance of the restaurant to the service we got and the exceptional food that was cooked. Totally blew my mind on how i see food and how it can be elevated to another dimension.
In a word, confusing. This place has a Michelin star? Okay. The food is very good, although the sauces heavy. Went for Sunday brunch. Staff somewhat haughty (yes, as the maitre ‘d and later our waiter looked at my footwear and raised his eyebrows) I was wearing jeans and dark sneakers, but with a blazer, all designer and pretty highbrow for what I saw others wearing). Waiter pressed us hard to order food all at once and we resisted - he forcefully said “if you don’t mind, and I said, “yes, I do mind.”). Eventually, it all worked out fine. White wine offerings were a bit strange and the one we ordered rather warm. It is a small place with sufficient staff, it seemed, who nonetheless seemed overrun. Overall, I found it confusing as compared to the reviews. It was very good. But it was not great. And I would look for an alternative Indian restaurant in London next time.
They truly took care of us from start to finish. Exceptional service.
I really enjoyed the food at Indian accent, we took friends here as a wedding gift, they very much enjoyed the food. I was slightly disappointed though as i was called to confirm my booking during the day and the person who called seemed very knowledgable about our booking and said they would do a complimentary dessert for the couple saying congratulations however this did not happen. They seemed quite muddled with our booking which was a shame.
A unique experience. Wonderful food and staff. Hope you get the deserved Michelin star.
The food was incredible - some of the best Indian food I’ve eaten in London.
Delicious food, imaginative menu and good service. Our visit was a pleasure.
A great dinner with an excellent service. Everyone there was very willing to assist you and the food and beverage were amazing. !!!
The experience was good and so was the food but it is not as good as New Delhi which was disappointing. There are other better Indian restaurants in London.
Amazing flavors and great service. Definitely coming back
Very good food and drinks! Great atmosphere, very private and elegant.
Really unexpected and the express menu was just delicious
I had my birthday lunch book at Indian Accent and they were so nice to surprise me with a birthday cake. I had a good time with my friend, staff very kind, restaurant had a pleasent atmosphere and the food was delicious :)
Super restaurant met een heerlijke menukaart. Wel prijzig maar de kwaliteit is top.
Marking 2nd anniversary of a large scale project completion!
