Imprevist features an International and Asian Fusion gourmet menu with a sweet twist, Something truly “unexpected”. We serve a causal Sunday style BREAKFAST & BRUNCH daily in our comfy home-style setting with a choice of seating in our lovely air-conditioned dining room or out on our open-air patio, overlooking a quaint and quiet cobblestone street. Then at night we turn down the lights and set the scene for a cozy and intimate DINING EXPERIENCE. This restaurant is excellent value. It is on a quiet street parallel to 5th Avenue but close to the water. It is a very pleasant setting. The service was very good, attentive and polite. The food was the standout. We had a pea soup that tasted of very fresh peas. Lobster wonton with a sauce offered a very fresh lobster flavour. For main courses, we had nut encrusted salmon that was perfectly cooked with miniature vegetables to accompany it. And a green Thai curry which had an excellent balance of flavour and heat. We finished off with a panna cotta. We enjoyed a bottle of Casa Madero rosado, one of our go to wines when we go out. It was a very pleasant experience and we thoroughly recommended it. Mains were about MX$250, very good value. We plan to return within two weeks.

Nice place on a quiet street with nice and not usual for Playa del Carmen food. Slow but veru friendly service

Dining at Imprevist was great in every way...... food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!
