Contemporary dining with a Pan Asian Kitchen and modern sushi. Fresh cocktails and extensive wine and sake selections.
Private Dining Room for personal gathering or corporate dinners.
The menu was unclear to me in terms of price. For first timers our waiter did not seem enthusiastic or excited to welcome us or explain what is good to eat, drink, etc. Overall a very expensive place for an underwhelming experience.
Amazing food! Bartender was awesome and gave us great recommendations. Everything was delicious!
Had a great meal to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The live soft shell crab was really good and the rolls were delicious.
A great menu, great for sharing, and amazing flavors. It’s a must try in Dallas. The wine & spirits selection was excellent too.
The food here is mediocre, at best. Plenty better sushi restaurants in and around Dallas.
Great food. Great service. Beautiful decor. It was a bit too loud when we were there. They had a DJ running club music that took away from the vibe a little bit. Had it been a touch less loud, it would have been perfect.
Portions were tiny. High prices. Service was bad, very very slow.
Great food, attentive service, and a great atmosphere. we love imoto
After meeting chef Steve McHugh at the MeatFight 1K event earlier this month, we wanted to try out Imoto and "give back" to him and the restaurant for their support. Well, I'm SO glad that we did. We stopped in for some food/beverages before going to a birthday party. Even though we shared appetizers (Little Sister's Korean Fried Chicken, Tempura Lobster "Shooters", Lamb Samosas, Wagyu Short Rib Potstickers) and a couple glasses of wine at a high top table/chairs in the bar area, it was VERY delicious and filling! I know it was fairly early (5:45pm) for the Saturday evening crowd, but it was quiet enough to relax, talk, and enjoy the food and drink. Everyone was VERY attentive (hostesses, wait staff, etc) and we'll definitely be coming back again to try more!
We went for lunch and the waiter showed us so much attention it made the experience even better. But even without the extra attention the food would have spoken for itself. Everything was top notch
The only shots I want to take in life from this day forward are the lobster shooters. The mushroom and cauliflower were exceptional and the charred octopus is a must.
We went for a business lunch at noon on 8/21. There was maybe a handful of people at that time not crowded at all. While we were able to order appetizers, it was about 15 - 20 minutes before our actual lunch entree order was taken. We received our miso soup which was lukewarm and very salty. We watched everyone in the restaurant be served their food including people that came in after us. We were not able to get our food until nearly 1:00 pm. Our Director let our server know about our disappointed and he placed the blamed on having to wait on the "sushi chef" and they were behind. We could clearly see what was happening at the sushi counter since we sat close to it. So the excuse was not acceptable. Out food was not hot, warm at best. It seemed they held all of our food until the sushi for one of our orders were made. Our Director again told the "captain/manager" about our displeasure and honestly she seemed a little bothered about the complaint. She apologized for the server and the quality and offered "her personal 20% discount".
I am surprised by the food quality and service we received as I have been there on several occasions and had a great experience. I hope this was a "one off" experience but it was a enough for some of our group to not want to visit again.
It is very noisy with chatter bouncing off brick walls. The food is delicious but pricey. We ordered blue fin sashimi. Came in 2 bite-size pieces.... not mouthful pieces but nibbles: $35. Good? Yes. Great? No. More appealing to a younger crowd - maybe mid-late twenty-ish. My husband and I are slightly older than we care to admit. Glad we tried it. Nice area. Seems clean.
Imoto has an excellent Pan-Asian menu that my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed. It was our first time dining here but unfortunately I do not plan on returning. The food was really amazing and the martini that I had was excellent!
My biggest issue was how horrible the hostess was who greeted me. There were two hostesses at the stand, one was helping a couple, the other saw me standing and waiting and said absolutely nothing. After giving her ample time to greet me, I greeted her. I told her I was meeting a friend, as in 1 other person, singular tense. I gave her the name the reservation was under so she can show me to the table, instead she tells me to "go find my friend." She seems annoyed that I request her to show me to the table instead of having me aimlessly walk around. We had a reservation, under my name, so showing me to the table shouldn't have taken long.
Once she finally decides to show me to the table, she tries to direct me to a large party of black guests. I am black so I'm assuming that's why she made that assumption, however the friend I was waiting for was not. It seemed so presumptuous to me that she couldn't fathom that maybe my friend wasn't black. And it felt so intentional, especially given that the reservation was for 2 people and she was trying to direct me to a table with about 15 people who appeared to be finishing their meal, not starting it. After my friend stands up and finds me, the hostess made no attempts to apologize or say anything really. It was baffling and unacceptable.
The waiter we had was excellent and he went out of his way to find out the names of a few dishes that we only had pictures or descriptions of, but the hostess if the first representation of your business and my taste for Imoto was soured immediately as a result of my interaction with her.
Producto muy bien elaborado con servicio excelente. Fue muy simpática la camarera y nos ayudo en todo momento.
Service staff were very kind but very inexperienced. Food was ok
Went for my birthday. Food was great and the service was awesome. We will definitely go back there when we visit Dallas again.
Amazing staff! So friendly and attentive. The food was also amazing. My new favorite sushi spot!!
Food and service were both very good. Music was a bit loud for our taste so we opted to sit on patio, which worked great for people watching. Definitely will be back!
Matt was awesome. Service was great. Food was delish. I had Omekase The charred octopus was the best I have ever had.
Great food, grate location, great service..
After having a reservation we were seated at a high top in the bar. We could have rolled with that but it was crazy loud with the DJ and after ordering two rolls and waiting an hour we were told the “sushi bar was backed up” so the rolls were comp’d if we wanted to wait for them and take them in a box. We were headed to AAC for a show and would have missed the beginning if we waited. I thought an hour and a half would be enough time, it was not! The restaurant really could have used more runners and a manager checking on tables. $70 later we had a couple of drinks an app but no actual dinner. Just not worth the effort, very disappointing.
Highly recommend. Sushi rolls, edamame, shishitos, sashimi, lobster shooters, and Thai fried rice were all delicious. Service was a little slow but they were so nice! It was busy before the concert at the AAC.
The music was a little loud
Food was phenomenal
Service was good not great but not bad
Paula was incredible and helped my gluten and dairy free world have a blast!
Great food tapas style. Can add up if you try a lot of different itmes . Would eat here again
Imoto, Chefs Kent and Jimmy never fail to exceed expectations. This is our go-to restaurant for sushi. And if you have non-sushi fans in the group, there's plenty to choose from including wagyu potstickers, lamb samosas, and Korean fried chicken. I highly recommend!
Not as good as it used to be. We were so disappointed!
Really enjoyed the entire experience at Imoto. Beautiful setting, great food, excellent service. Especially enjoyed the Little Sister's Korean Fried Chicken, the soft-shell crab, and the shrimp roll with truffle dust. Our server - Jordy - was very knowledgeable about the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and was attentive without being invasive. Look forward to returning to try the Omakase.
Not busy at all. Unusually empty.
Hunter was a fabulous waiter... blistered shisitos dragon style are amazing!
Chefs tasting menu was underwhelming
Not worth what we paid
Imoto is excellent in all areas of dining. The ambiance is lovely. Diners have many choices from sushi to bento boxes and small shareable plates. Must have the hybiscus sangria. Yummmy!
I have been twice and both times the food is phenomenal. Most recently, my party requested a roll with certain ingredients and the waiter + chef came back with a specialty roll that ended up being my favorite of the meal! Outstanding service throughout the meal. Highly recommend.
been here several times. sushi is great, concept for shared plates is wonderful, service is great. always enjoy going back
Food was amazing. Service needed some help.
Waited 40 minutes for food that never came while people who ordered after us were served within 10 minutes.
For a high end gourmet restaurant that is bound to complete to be best sushi restaurant in Dallas, I would’ve liked to see more vegetarian options on the sushi/sishimi menu expect for cucumber roll and avocado roll. Compared to Uchi and Nobu who has plants of great veggie option on both sides and sushi menu. Everything else was great. Left hungry since there was Only 2 veggie roll on menu, ordered mushrooms and Cauliflower which was good.
Our new favorite Asian fusion spot. We had a fantastic meal with exceptional service. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their creative menu.
My wife and I went to Imote for the first time last Friday. Everything was amazing, the food, the service, the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
We showed up at 6:30 for a 7:00 reservation. We weren’t seated until 7:15, which wasn’t terribly offensive. However it was a Monday night, and we did expect to be seated somewhat promptly. After being seated it took 25 minutes to take our drink order. When the wait staff finally took our drink order, we placed our food order at the same time. Due to the fact that we had a concert to catch, we explained to the wait staff that we were on a limited time budget. Roughly 15 minutes after placing our food and drink order, we actually received our appetizer before our drinks. At this point we had been seated at our table for about 40 minutes without anything to drink. To give additional perspective, I ordered water, and my wife ordered a glass of white wine. It would be an additional 5 minutes before we finally received our drinks. At the point of receiving our drinks, we mentioned to the wait staff several times that we had been waiting. On to food, the food was good. It wasn’t mind blowing, but was quality sushi. We waited an additional 20 minutes to get our food after receiving drinks. Our food order was very simple, we ordered sashimi. From ordering to receiving our entree, it took about an hour to bring a large order of sashimi to our table. The waiter mentioned that our order had been sitting for “a long time”, and it simply wasn’t delivered to our table in a timely manner. 140 dollars later we were late to our concert, and my wife was upset, as this was our first date after having a new baby a few weeks earlier. I have never left a negative review for a restaurant l, this is my first. I usually give a restaurant grace when service is poor, however this restaurant was so poorly ran from a logistical standpoint. It was a true cluster, and I would hope that the proprietor would either replace management or implement some SERIOUS training in order to combat this issue. Patrons won’t spend that kind of cash to receive such a poor dining experience.
