Enjoyed the Pasta dish especially and the waiter was wonderful!

Outside of restaurant looked messy with chairs and equipment all over the place for outdoor dining but in winter months put them away and clean up. Walked inside and it was loud, but we made the best of it.
Real issue was the service. Walked in to no greeting and waited a few min while we watched a waiter and bartender play on his phone until finally coming to get us.
Drinks were not great and One meal was not cooked properly and we had to return it but it took over 20 min for waiter to notice. We were almost done (and just shared our meals with the other person) before waiter came back. He was very apologetic and comped the meal of course but we should have been checked with sooner. Worst part of the entire meal was that I had a view towards back of restaurant where there is a service counter and hallway to bathrooms. A large package of toilet paper was sitting on the counter the entire time that I had to look at while eating. At that point I was done and just wanted to enjoy time with my friends but the place is really just nothing special and priced as a high end restaurant which it’s not.

As always Luigi and his superb staff served a delicious meal. This was our dinner to celebrate our vaccination.
Il Vizio was our first dinner out since November. A great way to get life back to normal. James is a wonderful server.

We felt the food was really just ok. My fish was “fishy”, someone else’s pounded veal chop was an inch thick, humongous and smothered in sauce., the fresh pappardelle was dry. The service was good, drinks, good and we were there for a happy occasion so we chalked it up, but I don’t think we’ll be back,.

Food and service was very good. My only complaint, it was very loud. Difficult to carry a conversation without raising your voice. We were there on a Friday night. I can’t imagine how loud it might be when it can be serving at full capacity.

The food was very good. The place was very nice. The service was very good. Would have been perfect if the entrees came with a small side of pasta.

It was my first time at Il Vizio and my fiancé had suggested it. Although I’m a bit reluctant to try new restaurants, I’m glad I did. The food was outstanding as were the portion sizes. Our server, Ryan made us feel welcome and his service was excellent. We shared two appetizers: a Thai chili glaze meatball appetizer and an eggplant rollatini stuffed with capellini pasta, in pink sauce. A bit different yet delicious! My fiancé had a bone-in rib eye which was extremely tender despite ordering it well done and I had their chicken valdostano. It was a huge chicken breast served in a Marsala sauce “ala parmigiana”; loaded with fresh mushrooms. And even though we couldn’t finish our meals, we had to try dessert; she had chocolate fudge cake and I had tiramisu. This seems like a real neighborhood gem and it’s definitely worth a trip from anywhere! We’ll be back!!! Next time I gotta try the chicken francaise!

Never leave there unsatisfied. Always good food, great staff and dining is a pleasure there.

Just a nice quiet night out

On,y thing was they did not have Italian bread...and the cheesecake they served was from Juniors.... the chef cannot make cheesecake? Preferably Italian....

The Branzino Oreganato was exceptional. As was the Spaghetti with Garlic/Oil and shrimp with crabmeat.

Birthday dinner

2 hr wait for food -- even with a reservation -- no one came to give us a menu - I had to get up and get my own menu -- and after ordering food - it took almost an hour

It was nothing to talk about mite salmon didn't taste so good.

My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened. Looks like it’s a one and done for us. I seriously don’t know what all the hoopla is. I ordered the chicken parmigiana which had no taste at all PLUS it didn’t even come with pasta! I’ve never gone to an Italian restaurant without pasta to go along with your chicken/veal etc. My husband got a special dish, which was shrimp over pasta. It cost over $40 but looked like it was worth $15. Total waste of time and money.

First visit. Food was absolutely delicious, service excellent. Prices a little high but we will definitely be back!

The food is great at Il Vizio. Waiters are very friendly and very attentive to your service.

First visit to Il Vizio in Massapequa on Broadway. We were a group of four and we shared a couple of appetizers before having our entrees. Each of us enjoyed our meals. A couple of us brought home leftovers. Our server was excellent. Our food was good. This restaurant was formerly a Friendly's and you don't have to worry about that when you stop in here as the place was really overhauled. We didn't sit at the bar for any time but when you first walk in it is one the first things that will catch your eye. It is a beautiful bar and there are a couple of nice TVs. We didn't have dessert but our waiter offered us complimentary after dinner drinks and we did order Limoncellos. It was a relaxing way to end our evening.

We ate here as a family for New Year’s Eve. It was amazing! The food, the service and the waiter. I don’t recall his name but he was very attentive to my kids and even served food to them that wasn’t on the menu. We will be back!!

Very good food and service

We have been to Il Vizio quite a few times and if this experience was our first, we would not go back. I ordered something from the menu that looked nothing like the description on the menu. Our easier said he would correct it and what he returned with was worse. He was fabulous before the food exchange, after he delivered the berry unsatisfactory meal, we didn’t see him again. We will go back bc everyone else in our party was pleased with their food as we always have been.

We have been here several times in the past 3 years and every time it's a very enjoyable experience. We even had my wife's baby shower here two years ago and couldn't have been happier. This past Saturday night we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We hung by the bar for a half hour enjoying martinis, the bartenders were both very attentive and conversational with us. After we sat down our waiter was just the right mix of funny, attentive, and helpful, without ever feeling intrusive or hovering. At one point the owner came over and chatted with us for several minutes as well and it didn't at all feel like it was forced, more like he was an old friend just dropping by to say hi and chat for a few minutes. And the food was absolutely delicious. From appetizer to dinner to dessert, everything was just great.

We went for the dinner and physic night. The service was outstanding and the readings were so weird! I haven't been read in over 10 years. I was nervous, the whole time! I heard some things that I have been wanting to hear and I heard some things that NO ONE could have known unless I told them. I did not tell anyone any of it! It was well organized, the food was good and it was a great night out!

Food was good,but took to long to be served even for appetizers and it wasn't a busy night,Waiter/Bartender guy was not attentive, disappeared for long periods, and was just rushing.
Over priced for the product.

Super friendly and attentive staff, very helpful with menu suggestions. Everything we had was fantastic, The mozzarella francese, and skirt steak with Gorgonzola were standouts. I would definitely recommend Il Vizio for small gatherings, large groups, and special occasions. Buon appetito!

Our second experience here and we walked away both times very satisfied. This is definitely a “Hidden GEM”.

Good food - but very pricey. Nose level was ridiculous. We all had sore throats from just trying to have a normal conversation. We will not return.

The food was outstanding and the service excellent

Service was good however, one of the specials was to have fish and a lobster. The waiter came out and said they have no more lobsters (Thursday night?) but would add other fish to make up for it. We were also never told the dish could feed 2-3 people and 2 people order it separate. it was way too much food and a waste of food. Also I think because the plates were so big the fish may have been overcooked a little. In addition, the cost of $60 should have been if the lobster was part of it. They did not take anything off for not having lobster. I think it was up to the restaurant to lets us know that a special could feed 2-3 people and they should as matter of courtesy, let you know the cost of the specials.

Unfortunately we went in with high hopes since we had been here before. It was our anniversary and I was in the mood for rack of lamb. I requested it to be prepared "medium". It was prepared properly, but tasted like it might have been re-heated and was cooked with no seasoning. It was extremely dry. The accompanying broccoli rabe was also bland with no taste at all. My husband ordered the "stuffed veal chop". What he received was very good, but was not as presented on the menu. It was veal pounded thin, breaded and topped with cheese and sauce (sort of like veal parm). Definitely not what he expected. Our anniversary dinner was not at all satisfactory. It might be a long time before we return to this location.

Very happy with all aspects of this dining experience. The food is always outstanding. I have tried many different selections and have yet to be disappointed. If I was asked to include a negative it would be that it is a bit pricey.
