Only one Italian-speaking waiter and no Italian in the kitchen. Special was said to be tagliatelli but spaghetti was served, waiter had no idea it was wrong. Too many tables on the lower level, getting in and out was uncomfortable and possibly a death trap if there was a fire. This is no longer an ITALIAN restaurant! Very disappointing for our first return visit since Covid.

Delicious pasta dishes, lots of flavour and large serving for mains size. The starter of warm marinated olives was also great and the herb bread was nice, maybe not the most exciting. Great service, very attentive. Lovely old school atmosphere too. Winner!

Very warm greeting from our server when entered, and she was fantastic in her service. Personable, professional, and welcoming. The main size pasta was fantastic, as was the olives, and the herb bread. We had a theatre show to go watch on an hour after the start time of our dinner reservation, and the server was attentive to that and made sure our meals came out quickly too! Will definitely be back again in the very near future

When we arrived (early) before 6pm the staff knew we were heading to the theatre and made sure we could eat our meal with time to spare to get to the show. The service was excellent with the waitress being very attentive. The food and wine selections were excellent. We left satisfied, paid the bill and left a tip. I have been to this restaurant many times before for special occasions and bringing international visitors and it always delivers!

We have always thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant but this time, we were very disappointed with the choices on the menu. We felt that the choice of secondi and dolce were very pedestrian. The entree size pasta was extremely small for the price.

We were caught in traffic and so were late for our reservation, but the staff were unbelievable in getting us to our table, fed and out in time to make the show we were going to. Nothing was too much trouble, and they did it all with a smile.

If only you hadn't seated us by the sit to the kitchen to start with you would have scored 5/5. LOVE this restaurant and the food and service met all our expectations. It's been a couple of years since we were last here but it certainly won't be that long before we return again.

Initially service was good but there was over a 20 minute wait between starter and main and tables around us who arrived later were being served before us. Even our waiter came over to ask if we had had our main course abs I had to ask again for it before it arrived. However the apologies were sincere and the food was delicious. We will be going again.

We love this restaurant and flew from Sydney to have dinner there. We had gnocchi with beef ragu the gnocchi melted in the mouth and a special pasta with peas mushrooms cream and truffle paste. Both dishes were truly delicious. The wait staff were professional, helpful and friendly snd made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to come back to Melbourne at have a meal here again

The restaurant was very busy yet the staff service was still excellent. Food was outstanding and was delivered with perfect timing. The only negative would be that they didn't follow covid protocols. We were not checked in and none of the staff were wearing masks even though it was a small fully indoors venue. I was under the impression that was still mandatory for indoor venues in Melbourne.

Beautiful unfussy authentic food with professional and attentive waiters. Great atmosphere. It was packed when we went but didn’t feel overly noisy or crowded.
