Had the chef tasting menu, great option, everything was fabulous! Beet salad was outstanding, and entree of seafood combo in broth was excellent - 2 large pieces of delicious white fish (forget the names) along with 2 large prawns and a scallop, so tasty, cooked to perfection. BYOB. Will definitley be back!
Incredible! Felt like we were in a Fine NYC restaurant in Marlboro!
good food, service was great. In normal days (no Covid 19) it would be even better.
The chefs tasting menu was fantastic , the hospitality from our waiter was on point and the portions were generous. The food was top notch and high quality. Enjoyed every minute of it
Great food, great service. Never disappoints.
Place is amazing. And the prices are insanely low for the quality of food you get. Service is outstanding. BYOB.
Great food and very friendly service
We had an amazing anniversary dinner. Everything was beyond special.
We received great service. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be back!
My wife and me wanted to check this place after friend recommendation.
The service was great from start to finish. Décor and atmosphere are really nice, love the chairs with the high backs.
We had several apps: Antipasto Board, Fried Brussels Sprouts, Salmon tartare, Cuttlefish. Very tasty, amazing!
We finished with phenomenal Pistachio Cake. It was light and nutty.
We will be back for sure! We had a fantastic evening.
Another outstanding meal at one of our favorite restaurants!
Disappointing midweek dinner,
No specials added, only menu items. They made it seem as if they added specials, however it’s the same menu.
The octopus appetizer wasn’t edible, like eating a rubber band, fat pieces of sponge, meatball app was very good.
Steak was ok, nothing great. Salmon was minuscule & undercooked, skin facing up upon presentation, requested medium.
Halibut was very good. The pasta ragu was excellent.
The bread was soft & spongy for a high end Italian restaurant I would’ve thought to have had better piece of bread.service was very good. It was expensive, wouldn’t mind, if the food was better.
Best Italian restaurant in our area that I have been to. Food and service was great -
Loved everything about that place! Definitely will be back! Thank you!
Loved this place again! This past Friday was our 5th time there. We brought friends with us and they too loved it. Highly recommend!
Very good food and service
From the start of the evening till the end everything was excellent. The service the atmosphere and especially the food was great . Really enjoyed the sardines special. I had the pasta with lamb Ragua which was delicious and my husband had the Halibut which he thoroughly enjoyed . Will definitely return Thank you .
This was our first time at Il Nido and we were impressed with the food, presentation and staff. Good value for the quality of the food, staff and ambiance.
Will definitely return soon.
Food was absolutely amazing. Brussel sprout and beet salad appetizers were amazing. Had the halibut for dinner so delicious and fresh. The pistachio cake for dessert was and awesome ending to our amazing meal. Also the service was great our waiter was wonderful.
This was the third time we have been to this restaurant, of which the first two experiences were solid. However this time it was a disaster. We had to wait a 1/2 hour for our table (20+ minutes last 2 times also) as the people did not get up after paying the check. I think that is less the restaurants fault. However my wife and I ordered the same dish and both of us were served a pice of fat! Not kidding both of our short ribs $42, were chunks of fat. They obviously ran out of the item after a long night or it was a major oversight. We were with new friends and just didn't eat it as we didn't want and ruin their evening? We had to pretend we were full from the appetizers which were fine by the way. The black pasta was also overdone which was not the case last time either. Service was attentive but this meal literally put such a bad taste in our mouths that we will not be returning. Very disappointing as we were hoping for a new go to place in our town and had told all our friends about it. Now we have to tell them about this experience before they go and blame us
Beautiful place, perfect ambience, outstanding food and service!!!!! Definitely a favorite!
The food is excellent and the atmosphere is terrific. Service was first class. This is a classy yet rustic BYOB gem which you would not expect to find in a strip mall. Everything served was hot and fresh. The menu is unique and different. Portions are not huge but more than enough for sure. You just may not need a doggy bag but you won’t feel cheated.
My wife and I went on a Wednesday and the noise level was fine. I suspect it might be a little loud on the weekends, but what place isn’t nowadays. We will definitely go back.
My husband and I are both in the business, I work in another of NJ’s Top 30 restaurants. We were extremely impressed with our entire experience from start to finish. Can’t wait for June 15 when we can all open our doors again. Hoping Il Nido will be offering outside dining. We have some catching up to do on celebrations, a 50th birthday and a 25th wedding anniversary!!!
Food was outstanding.
Great as always
The restaurant was very accommodating, I had made an error with my rsvp; they worked around it in no time. David, our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about every item on the menu. The food, service and ambiance was excellent. I cannot wait to go back!
Food excellent, owner excellent, service can be better
The hostess wanted to sit us next to a party of 12 at a tiny table for 2. My whole reason for going there was to have a quiet peaceful dinner on a Thursday night in January, which I had had on previous visits. When I requested a new table a big fuss was made that special requests should be noted in the reservation. I don’t think my request was “special”. Another table was found but it left a negative feeling with me. We both ordered the beet salad and halibut. My friends was inedible due to salt and had to send back. The maitre d and chef both came out to apologize and a new dish was prepared. They also gave us dessert on the house which was very nice. I would definitely return and request a quiet table upfront to avoid any confusion next time! BYOB is also a plus!
My new favorite restaurant!!
Hands down the closest replication of true Italian food I’ve ever experienced. The attention to detail and quality shows. You will not regret this meal.
This restaurant is amazing!
This is probably one of the best restaurants in all of New Jersey. Unfortunately it’s getting the notoriety it deserves which means it’ll start to get very busy and crowded and hard to get in. The owner and the general manager are a gem and They take care of every possible need
Amazing food, atmosphere, noise level, service and music! We had the scallop crudo, Mugnaia pasta, whole black bass, halibut and pistachio cake. Everything was delicious!! Not one complaint at all about this place except that we didn't try it sooner!
The food was amazing. We started with the fried Brussels sprouts which was an explosion of different tastes in your mouth. A must try. Then I had the short ribs which melted in your mouth and my husband had the risotto with scallops. He did not even offer me a taste and finished everything. Highly recommend and am excited to try new dishes when I go back. Also the waiter was so knowledgeable about how the food was prepared it was appreciated.
Food and Service always next level. Wonderful evening!
This may be the most underrated restaurant in the metro area. The quality is extremely high and the price considering this, far lower than what you'd pay elsewhere.
Short ribs and whole fish entrees were excellent . Got there early and was very quiet. Did get a lot noisier when the room filled up. Waiter Steve was very good.
Didn't think I was a fan of "organic ".
Was I wrong!!!
always great service making sure your experience is memorable. The food is always superb and the change of menu always has you tasting different foods
