Excellent experience from John who ensured everything was up to our expectations and Erica who provided outstanding service. The food was prepared perfectly and crab cake was one of best I ever had.
Dined here again (3x in one week)! Food, chef and servers are exceptional. We had a 5:45 reservation, early enough to be seated with choice of tables to choose from. One of the best features of this restaurant is the fine dining atmosphere, and to be able to dine looking out towards the rest of the room, admiring the wonderful decorations along with whom your dining with!!!!!
Basic date night with my fiancé. We recently moved into the area and was told to check out il Nido. It was not disappointing, service was great and the food was delicious! Price point is great for being fully organic. BYOB is always nice. Will definitely be back!
Cozy and well space out tables and very attentive service. Food was organic, delicious and well flavored. Very relaxing atmosphere. Only one criticism - John’s after shave was too powerful and took away from the impeccable aromas of the food when close by. But he was spot on about welcoming you or for anything you needed. He’s Definitely a restaurant professional !
Il Nido is a GEM among fine dining restaurants in the Marlboro area. The atmosphere is quiet, tables are spaced out nicely, view and ambience is perfect. The Service staff were all outstanding catering to our every need and any special request. The Chef is top notch and food was simply outstanding. Owner & his family frequently dine here and they take the time to stop by tables and talk with his patrons. The Owner not only has the big picture view on what a elegant and unique dining experience should be, but he pays attention to every detail and it shows in the exceptional dining experience we had at Il Nido. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was great. Veal Milanese was ender and really good. A little pricy - $69 per veal chop. Will be back though. Love this place.
This is by far the best Italian - no the best restaurant in Monmouth cty.
The attention by the staff and the owner is a 10. The food and atmosphere are wonderful.
Our new regular spot
The food and service were fantastic. We cannot wait to go back
This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend in Brooklyn. We made a reservation for this past Saturday. We were seated exactly at the time of our reservation. We were greeted by the manager John, who by the way, knows the business. He’s truly caring, wants everything to be perfect, doesn’t miss a beat and is so attentive. We mentioned to John that we came from Brooklyn, John immediately brought over the owners Joe and Sandy, to our table. The loveliest of people, warm and brilliant. We truly don’t ever want to dine anywhere else. The most delicious, extraordinary meal, we’ve ever tasted. You think you’re in Italy! Everything is so fresh! The crab cake, carpaccio, fresh pasta, artichokes from Italy, and Osso Buco just melted in your mouth. The real problem you will have is making a decision on what to order. This rustic, romantic fine dining experience has changed our lives. We made reservations for this Friday AND Saturday! Thank you Joe and Sandy for bringing the best restaurant to New Jersey! Also for hiring John, who added spice to our lives! See you next week.

Phenomenal restaurant. All fresh, organic food, a classic style, in a cozy, elegant venue. A must try.
The staff is meticulous and the owner is friendly and welcoming.
Everything was wonderful. The wagyu short rib is amazing!
Absolutely the best dining in Marlboro and maybe Monmouth county .
Awesome atmosphere, great food and perfect service. We sat by the fireplace and it was amazing.
I wish this place would stay under the radar forever, but not for long .
ITS A 10!!!
Food is outstanding and so is the service. They make you feel like you are in their family. Very fresh and delicious food.
Great food and service! No need to travel far from to get a Manhattan quality meal.
WE dine out 2 to 3 times a week in all different types of restaurants all different price points and atmospheres . This place exceeded our expectations . I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special evening out . You will not be disappointed , a class establishment.
This was my second time dining here. The food is outstanding and I love the ambiance. Inexplicably after our entrees were cleared our server disappeared. We were going to get dessert but decided not to wait any longer and just got the check. Otherwise it was a delicious experience and I will be back.
We finally made it out to Il Nido and had a spectacular dinner. Our server Sergio was fantastic. Real old school service. It was worth the almost 1 hour trip. I wish this place was closer. We have to find a way to get back here again before the crazy summer traffic.
We started off with several appetizers including homemade tagliatelle in a capon Bolognese; veal and wild boar meatballs; crispy duck confit with charred onions, shiitake mushrooms, and a puntarella Caesar salad. For entrees Mrs. P enjoyed a beautiful whole black sea bass stuffed with lemons and caper leaves. I enjoyed a supposed 45 day dry aged filet mignon with fresh rosemary, sage, and thyme and a salsa verde. It just melted in your mouth. For dessert we enjoyed the orange olive oil cake.
Very friendly and Professional services, the Organic food is fantastic/Delicious!!!
Everything was excellent. We enjoyed the food (Salumi/Formaggi Platter, Duck Confit, Boar Chops & Scallops with Risotto) as well as the Service (Steve was very attentive & knowledgeable). The ambiance, cushioned chairs, low lighting, upgraded bathrooms were all pluses. Nothing was overlooked right down to the take-out containers being eco-friendly.
Have been here a handful of times. Love the fact that it’s byob. Antipasti for two could feed four and delicious. We always try something new and it never disappoint
Everything was fabulous. Our new restaurant. It’s a BYOB.
The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff does a great job too!
A very enjoyable, well paced meal. We never felt rushed or hurried. Every appetizer was better than the one before it. The entrees were delicious. Looking forward to the next time. Great meal.
Was very disappointed in the food. Would not go back for a while.
We had a delicious meal. It was our first time dining there and between the food and the service it was an outstanding experience. Sergio was our waiter and he was lovely, warm and attentive. We dine out A LOT and this is one of the best experiences we have had since we moved from NYC. We look forward to returning!
Loved it! Food was different and delicious. Service was excellent! Highly recommend!
Food was fantastic. Ambiance was great. Can’t wait to go back.
Great tasting food
This was our first time at this establishment and rest assured it will not be our last. From the time we enter the front door till we were ready to leave, we felt welcomed and were catered too. Our server Sergio was excellent. He explained many of the dishes offered, offered a tour of the restaurant, and constantly monitored us to make sure everything was just right. We had the privilege of meeting the chef, a few other waiters, and the owner. All were very gracious. The food was delicious. We will be back.
Delicous food and excellent service. All accompained by great ambience.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Monmouth County, yes better than Anjelica’s. Great service and experience.
Dinner was absolutely incredible. Fantastic restaurant, great service, great atmosphere.
This is the finest meal I have eaten in my 40+ years of living in Marlboro. The menu is varied with something for everyone. The food preparation is excellent. The plating is very nice, the flavors are outstanding. A big plus is the BYOB policy which helps to make up for the prices. The prices are not cheap, but the food was definitely worth the price. Looking forward to our next visit.
The menu was limited and the prices were high but the food was good.
Excellent restaurant! Food and service perfect.
Maybe they were just off, but this place is horrible
The waitress was generally inattentive, forgot to bring us a drink we ordered, never checked on how our food was until we flagged her down. Just not good, especially for a place like this.
We ordered eggplant meatballs for app. Maybe the wrong choice, but it was very bland. Added table salt. Also lamb sausage app. It was better, but the beans were hard and it was also very bland. Only flavor was cheese. I’d give appetizers a C.
We ordered specials. Pasta with langostine. Bland, added salt. Pasta under done considerably. But my wife was starving and kept it. Also ordered rack of lamb, medium. Cut into it, totally well done, ruined. Flagged waitress down, she came over after 10 mins, saw it was gross and took it back.
For what it’s worth they offered us a free redo of lamb and dessert on the house- which we declined. So tired of horrible experiences in this area.
As always our meal was terrific. Our waiter, Sergio, helped me order food that was appropriate for my allergies. It’s amazing that you can have a relaxing conversation with the people at your table in such a busy restaurant. The acoustics are great.
Great new place. Would normally have to travel
To nyc for Same ambiance cuisine and quality of service. Will be back ! Can’t wait to try other items on the ever changing menu. The complimentary Italian cookies were a nice treat!
I was expecting some different items on the fall menu. There was something lacking.
Overall the Lentil Soup and Halibut were my healthy choices.
The prices are pretty high.
I was very surprised I had to ask if there were evening specials. Thought that should have been an automatic conversation. I noticed the table next to us also had to ask if there were any specials.
We did enjoy our anniversary celebration and we pick IlNido for special occasions.
Service excellent; Food, from appetizers to main course to desserts; Excellent. Great experience.
