Apart from the noise level being abit to high we couldn’t hear ourselves talking was abit annoying not being able to have a conversation without yelling to eachother but food service ect was amazing
Wonderful food...air conditioning was a bit high but they did switch it off when we asked. Great service..great food.
The ambience was good. But they were really strict on time to leave, and the deserts took a long time to be served. So we ending up hurrying at the end.
Food was delicious! Really cool restaurant loved the sashimi with the dry ice would definitely come back again
Dinner was great. We had an earlier sitting.
The food was delicious and most of the time the service was great. Some of us wanted dessert but we were not offered it and were given the bill as they needed the table. Other than that great food just on the pricey side.
We arrived 10 mins early as suggested for our booking to which we were told to have a drink upstairs dismissively. We didn’t have a drink upstairs because we were there to eat dinner and didn’t want to spend extra money just to wait for our table to become available. The seats were more like stools and quite uncomfortable, and my partner had to sit with his back faced sideways to the table to shield his face from a light that was shining up directly in his eyes if he sat straight on. The food on the menu was highly priced, so expected decent portions. This was not the case, and instead tiny portions were served. So we thought, the food must be really good then. It was at best average. One “main course” was $22 for an entree sized bowl filled with brown rice and a tiny bit of salmon. Also, we felt rushed during the experience because I was still eating a dish at one point when a waitress attempted to take it away. Furthermore, one starter dish didn’t arrive until 20 mins after the main dish was served too. To top it all off, I found a black hair in one of my dishes. Not what you’d expect for the hefty price tag. This place more or less seems like a spot people go to be seen rather than for good food.
Great place for some delicious Japanese food! Great ambiance and service, just a tad noisy for a relaxing dinner.
I loved the decor and ambience of the place, but it was too noisy for my liking.
Beautiful food and just as equal service only issue was the kitchen closed and we couldn't eat more food. Will go back for sure.
Great place for a good dining experience, definitely will be coming back with more friends to fully enjoy the area. The menu is great very diverse and modern Japanese food. Definitely recommend
Fantastic food and wonderful service from our waiter. Unfortunately one of the people at reception desk was very rude and wouldn’t let my husband in even though the rest of us were inside.
Ok evening. Bad taste left in my mouth as we were not pre warned of time limit on reservation. Food tasted great, service was excellent and ambience also good. A little too noisey for our catch up though.
Great ambience and service. The place has an amazing feel to it.
Ichi Ni Nana: unique food and good service. Little pricey
Elite food and everyone that works there are so lovely
Lovely venue, easily accessible and the best Japanese food I’ve had in Melbourne. Awesome vibe and service!
Great service and lovely presentation, but taste was lackluster. Crab roll was bland, covered in too much mayo and was cut so large that it was awkward to eat.
Waiters need to remember to come back with water and drinks.it was very to catch our waiter.
We arrived to a bouncer who blocked out entry until we said we had a booking and were allowed to enter. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, but given the type of food we were eating I felt like we paid a lot of money and left only just full. We were ushered out of the restaraunt not long after 9.30 and whlist the booking does say its a 2 hour sitting, I'm not used to be told its time to go because the place is closing down. I'd go back, but I'm not hurrying.
Love this place. The service was great.
But you neeed some more vegan options please.
We loved it, can’t wait to go back! Food was fantastic, best Japanese I’ve had in Melbourne.
Great night. Food is of a high quality and great value for money. Service was pretty slow this time but would still recommend it. Ask to sit in the back garden space - awesome ambience
I must say they met above my expectations. Initially thought it was one of those cool hipster restaurants that serves Japanese food to, excuse my term, non-asian patrons, but, I was very happy with what arrived at the table. Sashimi was fresh, shout out to particularly the mackerel, the sushi was on point delicious and the serving sizes were well proportioned. It was a 8 pax dinner, with full bellies along with drinks and desserts it rounded up around being $80pp.
Service was good as well, took our orders throwing in a smile.
Highly recommended :)
Great authentic Japanese tastes. Fast and friendly service.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was fantastic..table location was as per requested, suitable for birthday celebration with colleagues and friends. Will definitely return for next occasion 👍
I booked at 8pm to celebrate my friend’s anniversary, and the waiter who was a very attentive person was pressing us that we had to order fast because they were going to close the kitchen. I understand that, but in the end they did not want us to ask for a dessert. I begged him for a dessert
Our family of four were very pleased with our visit. The layout and decor of the restaurant is really different and quirky....so much to look at. Our server Curtis was super attentive and took our full order without having to write it down. (He didn’t miss a thing). Espresso Martini was exceptional-made my daughter a convert. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Each plate we shared came out very quickly but not to the point where we were overwhelmed. We were starving, so the pace suited us just fine. Having said that, I did feel like we weren’t there for long...so maybe a minute or two longer between dishes? As we we were leaving, all the staff seemed to pause whatever they were doing to offer us a quick goodbye. I am keen to try the Thai Restaurant upstairs which is all a part of this place on my next visit.
Great environment and food was amazing
My complaint was it was way too dark and very loud, with yelling needed to be heard. Also booths are quite tight for a larger person, which we had with us on that night. It left a red mark across the middle of his stomach. In that regard, perhaps it could be stated that larger people request a table.
We have been here before and loved it. However this visit was really disappointing. The service was very slow and we had to hassle waiters for attendance on several occasions. The food didn't have its usual spark either. Worse of all, we were asked to leave at the end of 2 hours (9:30pm) despite many vacant tables and the fact we were still drinking and going to order desserts! Our bill for 6 people was $600 ish so that was disappointing.
A good, convivial vibe for dinner with a group. The food was delicious, we had the banquet, and the decor very cool. The service wasn’t great however and it was nearly impossible to get our glasses of water refilled.
Never disappoints. The staff are wonderful as is the food
Birthday and family catchup
Funky little spot with good atmosphere and food. Check out the other bars in the same building after dinner
Kurtis gave the most amazing service my partner and I have ever received at a restaurant. It was actually the first time I gave a $20 tip in Australia because his service added to our amazing dinner.
Nice food. Service was lovely. Atmosphere was great, definitely a nice place for a date.
Price was ok. Overall it was nice
Great place to dine! Not all our dishes were outstanding but they were all good. The lycee sour cocktail was amazing
Very pricey for small serves. $200 to just fill two people. Otherwise food was nice just needs larger serves for price
We had to call staff over to order, then we had to keep reminding staff about our drinks. We were then asked to leave at 9 15 as our table had another booking and we hadn’t even finished eating
Yes, great food, good service.
A banquet for 2 would have been great or recommendations on what to try from staff would have been good.
