The restaurant can seat up to 150 guests, all of whom will have full views of the iconic Hong Kong skyline and Victoria Harbour. With 360 degree views that wrap around the venue, Hutong has a maximum capacity of 200 persons standing.
It was a good restaurant for this trip. All of the staff were kind, and they showed us the exact time of the appointment.
Solid food great view!
Now that is a view of HK with good food
Fabulous view and great service. We were asked to vacate our table by 8.30pm but other than that a marvelous night.
Came for Sunday brunch, with free flowing champagne. The view was fantastic, the food (18 dishes) were good (but not wow), would recommend as it is great value for money.
Stepping out of the lift, you are greeted by a warm spicy smell and an amazing view over Hong Kong harbour. The lights are low, all the better to enjoy the spectacular skyline. Service was below average for Hong Kong standards - the waiters behaved like in much less stylish restaurants in mainland China - coughing over the food, getting the order wrong, not knowing what they were serving. The food itself was OK - good, but nothing special. So if you're looking for an amazing view, a warm, dark, atmospheric wood-filled interior and reasonable food then this is a good bet.
Best restaurant ever with an amazing view on HK skyline
Been to Hutong when it first opened so many years ago. It still has that consistency on food and service. Kudos!
Great restaurant, just as good as the London branch, but with a far better view.
Super menu and attentive staff.
Stunning location and great food, but the service left a lot to be desired (they couldn't get us out of there quick enough). I had booking for 1.30 on NYE, it I had've been advised at the time of booking that we needed to be out by 3.00 I would've booked for an earlier time. We were only advised at 2.45 that the kitchen was closing, talk about being rushed out the door. Worth it for the view and the Peking Duck, but don't expect great service.
Service was terrible. A bit overpriced.
We had a horrible dinner at Hutong as the waitress was being rude and impolite! She kept reminding us that table was only for 2 hour diner but not more! And finally she even lied to us that there were guests waiting but in fact no one was waiting! We won't come again and don't recommend this restaurant to any of you!
An astonishing combination of foods, waterfront views, and kindness of staff
Amazing food and view with great service! Feng Wei brunch is a must-do!
Wonderful view and services, but the food is salty.
Service levels are bad.
Came in with huge expectations. unfortunately didnt quite live up to the perception. Food was quite good although felt like it was all prepared so they could whisk us out and get the next table ready. Staff were unattentive and unresponsive.
Went hear last time I was in Hong Kong about 4 years ago. It was excellent. However, the food and service has really slid down a few notches. I would rate the food as average. The price however has increased. The view is still amazing of course and the decor and ambiance is great..but honestly not worth it anymore.
Very nice but dont make boneless crispy duck unless previously arranged and you order whole duck. Unclear..
This place used to be excellent years ago. The cucumber salad was very salty and had way too much chopped garlic. The flavors of the Peking duck and lamb ribs were good, but too fatty. Really looked forward to the pig throat salad, but they don’t have it anymore.
Expensive food and very expensive wines. Service start off slow and ended up nonexistent.
The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the great view. Too bad they went down hill.
We spent a lovely evening in this place.
IT IS GREAT PLACE TO ENJOY THE SYMPONY OF LIGHTS. IT HAS NICE VIEW AND YOU CAN ALSO HAVE NICE FOOD.
I have been here many times and once again, food and ambience are both very good.
My favourite Hong Kong restaurant for the views, light show and food. So good we went back two nights in a row.
The view is nice, unless it rains because the angle of the glass there happen to accumulate rain drops. Service is not attentive at all, especially considering the price. Most of the food are quite good, but the roast duck is plainly laughable. The duck was cut in almost palm-sized chunks, the skin is not the desirable crispy-juicy, and the accompanying sauce is too sweet.
Lunch/dinner with a view. My got to place to take visitors in town for brunch - great 16 course brunch with Veuve Clicquot, fabulous views, and really affordable.
You need to book - window seats are booked out a couple of weeks in advance, but ordinary tables can be booked the day before and I don’t think the view is any less from any of the tables.
The view is outstanding. The food delicious and expensive. The service is attentive and impersonal as they have to get as many people served and out of the door as politely as possible. The portions are on the small side for chinese retaurnt standards but every mouthfull delectable. The crowds, 90% tourists, couples in tête-à-tête, but also large tablefulls of business men on expense accounts. The decor is charming all the way to the toilets.
Top service, attentive staff. Also had some entertainment that really made the lunch enjoyable.
Very poor service, we waited at least 30min between each dish and we had 10 in total... we even had to ask the waiter to bring it as we were not hungry anymore. We also found a piece of paper in our dumpling....... they did not charge this dish to us but still, considering the price point of this restaurant, this should NEVER happen. The food is good but it was overall disappointing!
Location, location, location a great and easy place to find and meet up.
I have been there 3 times with different people and ages and everyone has loved it, view outstanding over Hong Kong and great site to watch light show at 8.
Food is scrumpy and lots of freshly cooked food for all tastes.
Great foe all occasions and definitely has the WOW factor.
Une catastrophe aucun effort sur le service les plats envoyés à la va vite sans aucune explication pas de nappe ........ le tout pour un prix stratopherique pour un menu degustation plus la dégustation vin expédié en 3/4h.
À fuir de toute urgence.
Love this place. Have been back at least a dozen times since I first visited nearly 10 year ago. SO thankful it has not changed. My only complaint is that I rarely get a window table, even though I'm a fairly regular customer and always request the window. What exactly does it take? Can I just pay more? Should I book through my hotel concierge? Whatever it takes, I'd do it.
Best meal I've had in HK hands down. Great food great view great entertainment. Will definitely return on my next work trip!
Great harbor view. Very unique place. Good food. Must see at least once in your life when in HK.
View as always spectacular, and even though its been a great venue for a number of years, the menu is still innovative and delicious and staff very helpful and friendly and it continues to be a 'must do' activity whenever we have visitors in town - especially evening time as its one of the best venue to watch the 8pm laser light show
Wonderful experience in every way. Great people, great food and stunning view of Hong Kong harbor!!!
Went for the Feng Wei Brunch and it was excellent. Told the restaurant beforehand that it was our anniversary and they made a special effort to help us celebrate.
This place has one of the best views in HK across on to central. And the decor has a great feel to it.
Unfortunately. The service is one of the worst experiences in HK. The food is at best mediocre. And the prices are high.
So. If you’re ok suffering through bad food and worst service while enjoying a great view in a nice setting. This place is for you. Otherwise. Don’t bother and use the money instead to buy a helicopter trip - it’s about the same cost.
Stopped by on a recommendation from our concierge and a new friend. Views were amazing. Missed the light show but still phenomenal scene above the harbor. Had the tasting menu which was exquisite. The Szechuan beef in broth was a bust and expensive for a dish we didn’t enjoy.
