Been in Huntong several times and always please by the service, menu and view.
The food was amazing. The service average! The waiters were not very friendly and don’t care about the wine !
Amazing view of Hong Kong Island & great food & service.
Spectacular view, amazing food - esp the beef tenderloin with soy sauce - and very friendly and well-trained staff. Perfect experience!
Shocking service, possibly the worst I have experienced in Hong Kong.
When ever we visit Hong Kong Hutong is a must. It is a great way to see HK and start the holiday!
Legendary views, especially at 8pm during the laser show.
Good food but not exceptional. Be there at 8 pm to see the light show from Hong Kong island.
excellent restaurant and really good service - i would recommend it to friends ….
Hutong is our favorite restaurant. As soon as we know we are going to HK we book the restaurant. The food is outstanding, the staff very professional and the view is amazing. We have recommended Hutong to our friends and now they all make it a must do when in HK.
Great Food and Service
Just a great restaurant with good food, excellent service and what a view. One of my favourites in Hong Kong.
Always love going to Hutong, the food, ambience and views are always outstanding. Disappointed that we did not get a table on the window as requested, even though we booked way in advance and there were tables available.
From the moment you walk in, you are taken back by the ambiance and magnificent view.
We enjoyed Hutong very much. The first impression on entry is of the dramatically lit Chinese interior decor setting off the magnificent, wide harbour view through huge picture windows. The tables are far enough apart to give privacy and intimacy to any dining group. The dining areas for bigger groups allowed for noisier fun for those groups. Then the food came and it was tasty, varied and beautifully presented. Overall a wonderful experience of Hong Kong dining
Always good, just quiet over lunch, so actually romantic with a view
Food is lovely, amazing view and restaurant fitout, service atrocious
The atmosphere was probably not helped by the large group of loud obnoxious bogans in a private function
We were looking forward to the dining experience at Hutong and had booked from Australia.
We found the restaurant staff impersonal, food overrated and far too expensive for the quality of food.
It was our 3rd visit .We bought different friends each time and they were all blown away.
Service was slow. Food came out at different times so hard to eat with the group. Main course was cold had to be sent back and was again cold. The fried rice contained hair and so did one of the main course meals. Avoid this place at all costs. Will not recommend or return. The view is amazing but if you want a poor evening out then is the place. In all honesty this night nearly ruined our amazing trip to Hong Kong
Service was too fast. Got the tasting menu of 9 courses and they served it so quickly you were full by the 3rd course. For the pricing I thought the quality would have been a bit better but overall I would go back there. Just would order off the menu and not do the tasting menu. Plus they charged too much for the wine pairing and you got 3 glasses for 9 courses!
View is spectacular, but food and service is below average
We absolutely love the ambience and the coziness not to mention the spectacular view. They have very creative menu selection and the cocktail list is to die for. The service is impressive. Overall is an absolute delight dining with Hutong. We will be back.
A really lovely evening, with great food. Nice levels are quite high for this type of restaurant, and the staff were a little slow/inattentive when it came to drinks.
Hutong was fabulous. The complimentary children's menu was a nice surprise. The Mask Changing Astonishment was amazing. And thank you for the Happy Birthday and candle decorated plate! Loved it all!
The food was amazing and great views of the harbour.
Lovely location, view and interior design . Our second visit here, after a large gap of time.
awesome restaurant. amazing atmosphere. incredible location. great view. excellent service. delicious food. we loved it!
Awful service. Forgot dishes. No idea how to look after guests properly. Never again.
Was surprised to know that the restaurant offer standard lunch set on Saturday. The food was normal and none of the 18 dishes done exceptionally well.
the perfect dinner during a stopover on a trip from germany to denpasar. perfect location, perfect view, very good food. i can absolutely recommend this restaurant
Fantastic views. Good service. Mediocre food, especially considering the price. From the 8 dish set menu I would say only one dish was exceptional, however three were below average.
Absolutely fantastic food. Loved everything about this place.
Amazing view and nice interiors. Great service though it’s expensive compared to other restaurants serving better quality food. Would recommend going for the view but not if you’re looking for value for money.
We had a wonderful experience at Hutong and it was a highlight of our stay in Hong Kong. The view was stunning, the food utterly delicious and the staff very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant with a spectacular view or for a special occasion.
Great view, horrible food. I was so looking forward to Beggars Chicken. But it was such a disappointment. It was badly in need of seasoning and their were tiny bones that made eating it difficult. The crispy eggplant were fried sticks with no sauce. Horrible. The only saving grace were the noodles with truffles. The view is spectacular. The food is lousy. Stay away.
5 star for the view, 3 star for the food. Service just ok.
The views from the tables are great and the staff is gracious and attentive. The food was amazing, specially the sweet and sour pork and the crisp lamb plate.
EVery year in May or June we are coming to HUTONG.
Normally we book the special table in the corner for around 12 peoples.
HUTONG is my favorit Restaurant in Hong Kong.
An absolutely wonderful evening in a great atmosphere, great food, great service and a brilliant view over the harbour.
