Hurricane's Grill Brighton Le-Sands
Our restaurants are well suited to large groups of up to 20 to 25 people per table and for birthdays and special occasions. We also feature outdoor seating and are conveniently located close to public transport and parking. Vegetarians are also catered for with fresh salads, vegetarian burgers and platters.
Came there on Thursday night. Didn’t get s window table but were moved there when it was freed. Food was served super quickly and was excellent! Waiters were attentive and eager to please but their English was very poor. Could understand a word of what was on special. Ribs and stakes were amazing, but overall it was too expensive as you have to pay for the sides separately. Highly recommend the desert - great portions and beautifully presented.
It’s an expensive place so you expect good service. But the complimentary bread didn’t arrive. Waitstaff were unhelpful in general about everything.
Had the steak & ribs combo, steak was cooked as I asked but just didn’t taste great. Despite seasoning, the meat was bland. The pork ribs were however amazing! I appreciate it was very busy and it did say on the website we only had our table for 90 mins but getting hassled by multiple waiting staff wanting to clear our plates, when we still had food, throughout the meal became very annoying.
Great meal and service, just the restaurant is a bit echo-ey and too noisy.
The change of owners has not been good everything that was good about Hurricane Grill is no longer there from the service to the food all gone down hill a shame it was one of our favourite places to eat
Easy to find, steak was cooked beautifully, got the garlic bread with cheese, absolutely amazing! Not too loud inside, recommend booking prior, makes it easier!
We've been going to Hurricanes since they opened in Bondi. Received a gift voucher for Brighton Le Sands and the food was equally delicious. If you want to eat steak or ribs, Hurricanes is the place to go.
The meals were fresh and pleasant, however for the price of each main meal being around the $40 mark, you would expect the choice of 2 sides, not 1.
I had a good time, good food, good customer service
Food is always good. Service was extremely poor. Had about 5 waiters serve our one table which made everything so confusing. Received our sauces once we finished our meals and were charged for more items on the receipt. When asking the hostess to adjust the receipt she didn’t even give eye contact let alone a smile. Was so rude and all the staff looked miserable to work there. Made the food not enjoyable. Won’t be returning.
Pretty much we’re rushed to eat out dinner. Table booked on website it said 90min you can stay there to eat.
We arrived they said we only have 45min to 1 hr to eat food came out in 35min so we were rushed
It's been 3 days and I'm still full. Food was cooked perfectly. Slightly more expensive than what I would usually be happy to pay, but the food was amazing so it's worth it.
We made the order and everything was fine. Starters came out relatively quickly and then the mains ....
We had ordered 5 mains for 5 people and only 4 came out.
We waited a couple minutes then asked about the fifth main. The waiter said it was coming out shortly. Our mains were getting cold while we waited.
Waiter didn’t really seemed bothered about the issue. 4 of us started eating and completely finished our dishes. Still no fifth main.
We requested to speak to the manager after asking numerous times for the missing food. The manager looked surprised and offered the dish for free. We all then had to wait as the fifth person finally got the food and ate it alone.
I usually recommend hurricanes and a big fan. This experience has completely turned myself and my family off ever going back.
I appreciate the manager offered the meal for free but for us it wasn’t even about the money, just about the experience.
nice food and view but very expensive...paid $130 for 2 mains and 2 entrees and a beer. Bit of a rip if you ask me. Also wait staff advising of tips...surely the business can afford to pay their staff a lil more as its so expensive
Love coming to Hurricane’s at Brighton Le-Sands! Beautiful views of the beach and city lights at night. Food and service is always amazing. Highly recommended.
ordered our ribs and was told there was a 40min wait so waiter suggested starters..we ordered salt and pepper calamari and garlic prawns which came to the table in 5min which was fine, but my ribs came at the same time with the wrong side and i was confused and the worst part is they took it away and said they will bring it back in 10min. so we ate the starters and was so full we couldnt enjoy our ribs and didnt have room for dessert...really dissapointed with this outing
The food was absolutely amazing and friendly staff. The staff was amazing apart from a stuck up staff member at the counter that kept staring at us.
Yes it's a good place to dine, and the food was great, was a slightly bummed as they forgot my niece order and we were a group of 8. Dessert was to die for absolutely delicious.
amazing service, great staff, great steaks. Not too loud, music just right. Prices good
Great quality food with minimal waiting times.
Service is good, staff helpful, however they do put pressure on you to eat quickly and leave. Also a little noisy with the restaurant music. Hard to to have a conversation
Got there early to get lovely window seat overlooking beach and bay views. Staff were all friendly & attentive. Enjoyed my meal especially the pork knuckle which had unusually deep fried then finished in the oven for a crisp skin - too big to finish so got a doggie-bag. I look forward to coming back to try their ribs which looked delicious. It is a large restaurant & I imagine that at peak times it would be crowded & busy but there seemed to be a good number of wait-staff. Would be a good night out for small or large groups.
Had to repeat order several times, beef half ribs, not pork, beef beef!!Beef half ribs not much meat and hard, not happy, very expensive. Fish And chips, fish batter over cooked. Full rack of pork ribs enjoyed by diner but expensive. Cakeage charge. This was our third visit, place was much better before, now we would not go back or recommend. Service was bad, thought I was at a tafe learning restaurant. The table next to us 6 diners had not eaten their food, burgers ribs and seafood. Also reading reviews majority say service food and atmosphere bad. I'm surprised they are still open.
We frequent Hurricanes Grill Brighton with our family. However this last reservation was definitely disappointing. We had a reservation at 8pm and we were not seated until 8.30 after numerous times asking how long the wait will be with a response of it will be one more minute. People walked in and received a table straight away and we were kept waiting! Our children were starving!
Our food was ordered straight as we sat down as the kids were starving and we did not receive our food until over an hour later! With constant apologies and fake times from our waitress we finally received our food. The food was well below the average for hurricanes and we should know as we frequent this restaurant. My husbands burger was dry, the bacon was burnt and the meat was not warm enough. We chose not to complain as we could not possibly wait another hour for more food. It was my son’s birthday and to think that they would offer complimentary drink or even the dessert we ordered to compensate for the wait we had.. they didn’t even do that. I will be thinking twice before we make another reservation.
I had reserved for a table of 7 at 7pm on Saturday night to get there and have to wait nearly 30 mins for a table as there was an "issue" with my reservation even after I had shown them the email confirmation of my reservation. Ribs hardly had any meat on them. Waitress was awesome.
The steak was cooked to perfection, I had it cooked well done. It was juicy not dry at all, one of the best steaks I have eaten. My partner had the riblets, they were succulent and falling off the bone, there was fat on them, however they were delicious.
The service was impecable.
We ordered a burger, ribs, and squid. I expected more from all my meals as they were quite expensive but the flavours were really quite boring (considering the price, and reputation of the food in the area).
Ribs tasted like they were just dipped in average BBQ sauce.
Squid tasted bland and not as 'fresh' as I expected.
Burger was, however very fresh and 'real meat' tasting, and healthy.
All tenderness levels were perfect, even on the burger.
I was very impressed by the waiting staff and overall style of the restaurant.
Unfortunately, I would not come here again, as the taste and serving size of the food did not match the price.
I apologise for my strange/poor descriptive language.
Hurricanes quality has dropped steak wise at high end prices.
Ribs tasty however pricing has risen - looks like new management?
Wont be returning just too expensive for the offering.
Too loud. Very poor quality meat. Too much sauce on the ribs. Expensive
Food was ok, service terrible, the waiter so ignorant and arrogant. Sorry no tips for this kind of service.
Terrible experience. The ribs we ordered were so dry and over cooked. We tried to inform waiter but he just smiled with no response. We were also told of a 90 min turn around time and at 50mins we were getting shoved out the door.
Quite disappointed while sitting and talking with my guest at dinner. We were the last people sitting there at around 920pm on Thursday night when the lights turned on and the bill on the bench waiting for us to leave. So we obviously leave feeling awkward with all staff just standing around when the advertised time for closing was 10pm.
Poor service, I told manager.
Took 20 minutes to take the order. I said please come back in 2 minutes. Had to chaise waiter after 20 minutes to take order. Only after that we got half decent service, could not understand waiter very strong accent, hard to understand. Food steak not as good as usually better in past. For the price should be perfect seamless service and food. Dissatisfied especially being a date dinner. For $200 could have better service and meal in food court. Noise levels too loud people seating too close very little to no privacy, tables should be more spread out can’t hear or talk. Furniture table was wably and unsteady. Again should be perfect for your prices. Overall not happy at all.
Poor service. Food was extremely average. Prices keep on going up and the service and food quality drops.
Food and service was amazing. Noise level was ridiculous from the music being so loud you had to yell at each other. To the table next to us who's poor baby cried from the time they came in till we left doing absolutely nothing to stop her screaming. Maybe she didn't want to be at dinner with you . Don't think we would come back. Nice quiter restaurants around were you can talk to your dinner guests.
The ribs are not as tasty and succulent as they used to be and way, way over priced!
Have been here many times and I would have to say that i think in general the standard has gone down over the last couple of visits. Once upon a time we would go there and you knew you were going to pay for a great meal and be happy about paying for it now I cant say the same. It just feels like things are on the downward slide. I think this happens to a lot of restaurant groups that keep growing is that it loses what made it so good in the beginning and I feel something is missing from the experiences we have there now. It would be a while before I will head back to Hurricanes anyone of their restaurants
Have a look at that, 2 seconds in.... not bad good size !!!
Food not as good as narellan venue, service was ok. Table was very unstable and not comfort to eat from
Great food as always, service was amazing, had a lovely night.
Best to get a rack of ribs here as you can't go wrong. Steaks are tasty and cooked well too. Prices are a little bit expensive
