Hurricane's Grill & Bar - Darling Harbour Ratings and Reviews
The 10% Sunday surcharge dented the overall experience a bit but the food and service are faultless. I understand the penalty rates might've been the cause of the surcharge but surely this can be absorbed by the place considering how popular it is with locals and tourists alike.
They are awesome. Just perfect. Everything! Food, location, wonderful staffs!! I love this place. It is my favorite! I always go there with some people who are really special for me. And even yesterday with my family. They were all satisfied with you. (We were between 20 - 80 years old) I am really appreciate for your kindness, professional behaviour.
Good as always. We sat on the terrace (which we requested), which was cooler than anticipated, so the staff offered to pull the blinds and turn on the heating... without being requested to do so. We drive 150 kilometres for the best ribs and pork belly and it is worth the effort!
I have been here twice in a week, the food always tastes good and the location is very convenient.
The service, I must say, it is good but not excellent. Some staff will be very polite and others will just treat you with a very unhappy face (I understand it is not the best job in the world - been there - but it does affects customers).
The very end seats need some lighting at night (candles or smth), we could barely see our meat during dinner time.
We have been to Hurricanes many times before & it still maintains a very high standard
We invited visitors from Europe to join us for dinner
We requested a window table & our wish was granted
Our friends loved the food experience very much
The steak & pork dishes being a real treat for them as it is very expensive in their country Italy
So Hurricanes really ticked all the boxes & gave us a meal/night that we will remember for a long long time
When our friend arrive restaurant the staff didn't know wheres the table we are. (We did book the table) and ask customer to find by themselves.
When we need to move to other table. They ask us to carried the stuff on the tabl by ourselves.
When The ribs has been on the table for 10 mins. the staff didn't gave us wipes and the bowl for bones.
Have eaten pork spare ribs at Hurricanes Darling Harbour on numerous occasions and have always highly recommended them to everyone. We were very disappointed with the quality of our ribs yesterday as they were dry and far less meatier than normal. There were 4 of us who all ordered the pork ribs on my recommendation and none of them were to the usual standard. Very disappointing.
Despite the long queue and wait for a table even with a booking the food and services were excellent! Up to date nothing beats Hurricanes pork ribs delicious juicy and cooked to perfection. We requested quiet dining area to celebrate special occasion it was granted so its a plus plus bonus rating! Feedback for restaurant - extra reception would be great seperating queue for people who have bookings as the mix queue can be quite long.
I took my granddaughter there for her Birthday and her boyfriend.
We were happy with our main meals but I wasn't impressed with the Affogato dessert. It came without the Frangelico which is part of the dessert. I was told it was optional and I have it often when I dine out.
I have never been told that before.
I had to pay extra for the Frangelico.
Been many times the ribs are excellent & always have been HOWEVER this time when the ribs came looking amazing & plentiful as always but they were only barely warm which esp lamb ribs makes them not nice, asked them to reheat but i think they brought a fresh batch, by that time we were almost over it had a few but was spoilt unfortunately & again we still didn't feel they were warm enough. also ordered veg which was lovely asked 3 times for butter to go with our corn came when the corn bit cool.
I have been visiting Hurricanes for over 10 years now, I came in to dine with a group of 12 visiting tourists last night and I am incredibly disappointed with the food served. The famous pork ribs was very dry and tough to chew. I remember the days when they were juicy and tender. We also waited a whopping 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. The barramundi was very delicious though. All in all for the price that Hurricane charges, I didn't think the meals were up to that price range standard.
