Hurricane's Grill & Bar - Darling Harbour Ratings and Reviews
Would recommend booking as when we arrived, there was around 20 people waiting for a table. We had a reservation for 8.30pm - but had a drink in the bar beforehand.
Bartenders were entertaining whilst making cocktails etc. Menu had a good choice for reasonable value.
We were seated on the balcony outside with gorgeous views over the harbour! Amazing food - BBQ Pork Ribs & Portuguese-style Chicken with chips.
Worth the visit.
We have been to Hurricanes many times but not the one in Darling Harbnour. Very noisy .. although it was early on a Saturday evening. Service was average, when you can never get the attention of a staff member. Food was very tasty being well seasoned/marinated.
We arrived at 6pm for our reservation and were promptly seated and orders taken. However, it took until 6:35 for a can of ginger beer to arrive and food arrived 10 minutes after. Waiting for over half an hour for a simple drink is not what we are after when visiting a restaurant and hence will not return.
Have been to the other Hurricanes before. Went to the Darling Harbour one and got pork ribs. My ribs were way over cooked and tough. Only ate about a 3rd of them. Baked potato was not cooked.
Partner got lamb cutlets.... raw in the middle. Won't be going back.
I think the service is quick and nice. however， the rib was overcooked and the table is too small. My partner and I did not really enjoy that night . Thank you. I like this restaurant, while I think maybe you are too busy to cook the food in great patience. I hope next time the food will be of a better quality.
I was very disappointed because the expectation was too big. The meat was fishy in my mouth, and the place where I sat was too dark because there was no light. I ate with my cellphone flash turned on. The service was good, but the taste of the food was poor compared to the price.
between the music and soft spoken wait staff we couldn't hear a word.
We were basically yelling across the table at each other.
I have been to Hurricanes @ Darling Harbour multiple times and the service is great, food is great but its always really loud and noisy
Fantastic location and incredibly busy restaurant with great quality food and reasonable prices. Serving sizes are definitely filling, interesting wait staff and quick service for such a busy place. Definitely quite noisy (lots of customers enjoying meals and discussions) so not a location for quiet conversations. We will definitely be back !
The 10% Sunday surcharge dented the overall experience a bit but the food and service are faultless. I understand the penalty rates might've been the cause of the surcharge but surely this can be absorbed by the place considering how popular it is with locals and tourists alike.
They are awesome. Just perfect. Everything! Food, location, wonderful staffs!! I love this place. It is my favorite! I always go there with some people who are really special for me. And even yesterday with my family. They were all satisfied with you. (We were between 20 - 80 years old) I am really appreciate for your kindness, professional behaviour.
Good as always. We sat on the terrace (which we requested), which was cooler than anticipated, so the staff offered to pull the blinds and turn on the heating... without being requested to do so. We drive 150 kilometres for the best ribs and pork belly and it is worth the effort!
I have been here twice in a week, the food always tastes good and the location is very convenient.
The service, I must say, it is good but not excellent. Some staff will be very polite and others will just treat you with a very unhappy face (I understand it is not the best job in the world - been there - but it does affects customers).
The very end seats need some lighting at night (candles or smth), we could barely see our meat during dinner time.
