About Hurricane's Grill & Bar - Darling Harbour
Hurricane's Grill Darling Harbour is located in Harbourside Shopping Centre on level 2, home to many quality stores and eateries, the restaurant has excellent views of Cockle Bay and the city skyline.
Hurricane's Darling Harbour is open 7 days a week for lunch from 12pm till 3pm and Dinner 5pm till late, Saturday's and Sunday's are open for all day dining from 12noon. Serving the same tantalising food menu that so many of Hurricane's customers' have come to enjoy. Famous for our huge Ribs, and juicy steaks, all basted in our original secret recipe sauce, Hurricane's Grill will leave you wanting more every time you dine.
The restaurant have easy wheel chair access and are very close to public transport. Please be sure to advise our staff about any dietary requirements.

Parking is available in the wilson car park with a covered walkway into the shopping center. When spending $40 or more in a store in the shoping centre you can get your ticket validated to a flat rate of $15 at the information point located near the lift on level 2.
Nearest Train station is Town Hall, or Wynyard, then a short walk down to the harbour
Light rail stops are located at the STAR casino (5min walk away), or behind the shopping center (3min walk away)

We had made a reservation beforehand and we had requested to have a seat with a view. When we reached the restaurant, it was super crowded, partly due to the Vivid Sydney event. We had thought we would just be given a table for two as long as it was available since we had made a reservation. To our surprise, they still catered to our request for a table with a view and it didn't take us very long to have our table. Really glad.
I am from Singapore and last I went to your restaurant on 16th June. However I was quite disappointed with the full rack of Pork ribs which I Ordered. The meat was rather hard (overcooked) and it wasn't "Juicy" at all. The meant wasn't sweet and I felt that the sauce was lacking. I have always made it a point to visit the restaurant when I visit Sydney. The meat has always been Soft, tender and very sweet unfortunately this was one of the worst tasting Ribs I've tasted. The staff were all Great.
Ordered Mushroom Soup ($13), Full Rack Pork Ribs with Sweet Potato Fries (Main Course, $45), Mac & Cheese (Side Dish, $9.5)
Mushroom soup is good, but its still not worth the price for that quality.
Pork Ribs is exceptional! Really tender and it has a lot of meat (not only the bone is heavy).
Mac & Cheese is okay. Not really recommend it.
Would go back to try the burger coz it looks good!
To be perfectly honest, I went here for a meal with my wife based on my experience at the Gold Coast restaurant. The experience was poles apart. It was disappointing that I booked a seat two weeks prior and ended up with possibly the worst seat in the house (between the exit door and the service table). I would normally expect a bit of priority here, especially after travelling from Canberra for the meal.
Our staffer, Mel?, did try really hard and was the standout of the evening..
We were quite disappointed to be honest.
We asked for our childs meal to arrive with the entrees and it was the last meal to arrive at the table, even after the other mains.
There were no serving utensils with the shard plates and we had to ask for drinks to be replenished.
We had to wait 10 min to be seated , even though we had a bookings .
People that came after us got served first .
The food took almost an hour before it came out .
When we asked for shandy the waitress had no idea what it was and said , we don't have that drink .
Ordered lemon lime bitters and got lemonade instead .
The steal my son ordered was bland !
I've been to Hurricanes every time I've come to Sydney, and each time it has been a treat. The lamb ribs are perfect and the pork ribs are great too, although I find that much BBQ sauce a little cloying. It was a pleasant surprise this trip to experience the steak, which was really well cooked (Medium well). Excellent food and service each time!
The line to enter the restaurant was very long. Not a positive first impression considering majority of the people in line did not have a booking. I had reserved a table and was requested to wait in a squished area next to the bar with 20 other people waiting to be seated. We waited for 20 minutes after our reserved time before we were seated. Our table was next to the kitchen although I reserved a table by the window. Entree was served to us after our main arrived. Food and cocktails were good.
I really enjoyed the pork ribs and sweet potato chips, but service from the staff was not satisfactory. They grabbed out plates and cultery as soon as we picked the last piece of ribs without asking! We felt like they were trying to kick us out. I also booked a table for two around 3 weeks ago and asked for window seats but they didn't, so I asked the manager and he said as they busy and that's why we need to sit on the corner of the restaurant.
We were seated quickly, staff were attentive but did not hover. We all chose something different. When our meals arrived we were treated to huge portions of delicious food. We all left feeling content and not one of us had food envy! We will be back and look forward to a Hurricane opening in Melbourne soon!!
Food was great, and we got a table with a good view of Darling Harbour. It was a very thoughtful gesture of the restaurant to provide an activity paper and crayons for children to keep them occupied (definitely 2 thumbs up for this initiative!). However, the heater was slightly too hot on a night that wasn't too cold (we felt we were being roasted!), and it took a while for us to get the bill. Overall, we were extremely satisfied.
