I am very disappointed with this visit, booked a table to celebrate my husbands birthday, ordered two person’s meat platter, but they delivered two different meal, and when they matched the food back to the platter and requested us to pay the extra price.
The food itself is good, but the mistake makes us lose some appetite.
Delicious ribs and amazing salt n pepper calamari. Our favorite spot when we are is Sydney for a yummy meal. We will be back next time.
Membrane not removed from ribs prior to serving. Not happy being charged $7 a bottle for water when we presumed we were drinking tap water.
The serving portions were not generous at all, despite the server repeatedly telling us that a 5 person serving of a platter (for 7 people) was enough, we ended up ordering another 2 and then 3 salads, which ended up very expensive per person.
Staff are so friendly anytime we eat there, and service is quick
Service was brilliant - only matched by the taste of the Pork Ribs - AWESOME!
The pork and beef rib are delicious. My wife and I will bring my family there someday. The serving of the food is also big. It will also be better if they can put a aauce in their baked potato.
Perfect location, good service and nice food. Worth the value.
Best BBQ ribs in Sydney. Always on point. Staff are very attentive. Central location.
Have been here 10-20 times now and the food is always great, drinks are great, and the service is on point. Never disappointed! Unfortunately I wish I could say the same for Hurricane’s at other locations. Hurricane’s Circular Quay is #1.
The service was good and it was a pleasant environment to eat in. Food was fine.
This is by far the best ribs in Sydney but they are not cheap but well worth it!!
Delicious food and very friendly service. The Steaks are really good
I had a good evening in your atmospheric restaurant. I will come nack if i visit again.
Steak was meant to be medium rear but was served well done and the pork ribs were dry and flavourless.
Food was mediocre, service not great and noise extremely loud. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The customer service of the two ladies that I had that night was outstanding and friendliness. Including the lady who serves us the order menus, she sure do have a good-looking.
The food are excellent and well-presented. I'm very pleased with the presentation and my friend of mine agrees too
I hope we'll continue that again
5+ stars 😊😊😊
I'm a polynesian woman and I attended Hurricane's on a Saturday evening at 5pm and had made a booking prior to this. First time dining here so we got to the resteraunt and the lady at front (European looking) did not bother asking me if I had a reservation and just told me to follow the people who didn't make a booking to sit in the corner. Told the nice waiter that was fijian who brought water that I had made a booking and just wanted to double check this is the correct area we're sitting in. We were then moved to another table where people that make bookings, sit so that we get the full 90mins we reserve. My husband and I sat there for a good 20mins and the asian waitress in charge of looking after our section just served other tables around us but didn't bother coming to us. She even served another family that came after us and just stood in the corner avoiding eye contact with us. We wouldn't have been served if I didn't call her that we wanted to order. Anyways food came and the pork ribs we're a lot but there was a little bit of chips as the side dish. We got a salad on the side and that was gross too. After finishing our meal, no waitress wanted to clean our desk except for the fijian waitress that seen us earlier. We decided we weren't going to eat dessert here considering the crap treatment we already received. We waited for someone to come and ask if we were okay and to bring a bill and no waitress (there was plenty of waitress' that were just walking around not doing anything) wanted to serve us. I had to call out to a waitress after 20 long mins sitting there that we were ready to leave. Overall experience was bad and Hurricane's Circular Quay is not worth the money and time making bookings. The food quality here does not match the price you pay. If you can, find another resteraunt as this one is definitely not worth it! Disappointed is an understatement.
It was a great night, Jessica was very helpful and really nice!
Had a pleasant time here. It wasn't busy, so we had the server's full attention, although the food took a while to come out.
The food was excellent, however even though i had a booking, my group was left standing at the door while 3 different staff members were advised we had a reservation and they wandered off and never returned. The restaurant was not busy so we could have been seated anywhere. Apart from this, we were satisfied with the rest of our lunch time at Hurricane's.
Enjoyed it very mich
The waitress was very nice and helpful but the bartending was ridiculous. I watched 2 people behind the bar who had no idea how to make a Martini and a gin and tonic. The first time it came without the fruit garnish we had requested and the martini came stirred when I had requested shaken. I was facing the bar so I watched all this unfold. Next a third person joined the first 2. He got the gin and put it over ice and then add the vermouth. Any bartender would know that you put the vermouth in first in case you pour too much. If the gin is already in the glass you would have to start over and waste the gin. The drinks finally came and the martini still had not been shaken. I gave up at that point. I should point out that their menu said that they specialized in Martin's. The food was fine but nothing special. The only thing that made the evening bearable was that the waitress was lovely.
This is the 3rd time in a few months I've taken friends/visitors to Hurricane, always gone great, thanks!
T-bone steak was disappointing (small and very little fillet) and Pinot noir by the glass was low quality; reservation & service good but let down as above.
U should be able to sit as long as u like rather then feel like u have to rush ur meal as u only get an hr and a half to stay 🤔
Tiled floors make you feel like you’re eating in a shopping centre food court. Service was underwhelming. Feels like a place for tourists vs locals. Food was OK but they seriously need to work on the ambience of the place...
Nice ribs! Better stick with ribs because the steak is not as good.
We ate full-pork rib and it was really nice! I recommend this restaurant to my freinds!
Food was pretty average. Service was great with friendly and efficient staff.
Service was very poor.
Long waits for drinks which were sitting on the bar for 10 minutes before being brought to our table. When asking for assistance with the menu staff did not no the answers however the other waitresses were quick to pick up and assist. Meals came out very quick ! Great meal beef ribs were tough
Have had other experiences at alternate restraunt chains and would much prefer to re visit those.
Came for dinner on a Saturday night with husband, toddler, baby and our friends. Staff were lovely and attentive, there was a colouring-in kids menu and pencils supplied for the toddler and a high chair for the baby.
Food was great - the rib platter we ordered was beautifully soft and juicy, sides and salad were fresh and tasty, and the rather generously-sized kids southern chicken came out very quickly and fresh hot.
Noise level and ambiance were fine - not too noisy, we were able to chat easily.
We were really happy with the food and service, will probably come back again soon!
We had Friends over from Ireland and took them for there wedding anniversary. Food was excellent and service was brilliant. I will definitely be back
All our food was burnt and horrible. Ordered ribs and chicken both char burnt and bland. Never going back.
3 friends and I went for an evening meal at Hurricanes at Circular Quay yesterday. I'd not eaten there before, but had at the Bondi and darling harbour locations which we always love. One friend and I ordered the steak and rib combo, but were served up something very different to what we are used to from Hurricanes. It seemed we were served a very small half rack portion of spare pork ribs as opposed to the usual ribs. We questioned this with one of the senior staff members, named Naru who assured us we were getting what we ordered. However, we saw other diners served the full rack of pork ribs and what we received was most definitely not half of that. We couldn't help but feel short changed from our experience and for the first time ever We left Hurricanes still hungry. This wasn't the end of the world, but we just felt the way the waiter handled the situation was poor and accusing us of being wrong even though we know that wasn't the case and was lacking in his ability to deal with customer queries and providing a good service. I know most of the their customers are one time tourists who do not know any different , however for us we knew what we should have received. He did offer to give us 4 xmas puddings which he said were worth $17 each but we politely declined as none of us wanted that. He did end up knocking $20 from the bill but it all was made very uncomfortable and we left feeling as if we had done something wrong. One added thing we weren't even given the usual bibs that they give when you dine at hurricanes, which adds to the experience. I can safely say I would not recommend going to hurricanes in Circular Quay. I'd advise making the short trip to darling harbour where you receive what you ask for and a better customer service
Excellent service and great food - highly recommend
We waited 15mins+ to be seated even though we'd booked and were not even acknowledged in this time. They brought out 2 of the 3 drinks we ordered. Our food arrived reasonably fast which was good. At this time we were able to follow up on the 3rd drink. Turns out they'd run out of stock but hadn't said anything, continued to wait a further 5+ minutes for a different drink. They did not bring out bibs with our meals and when we tried to grab the attention of the waiter who delivered our meals, we were ignored as she rushed away. One of our party had to go up to the bar to get them. The food was tastey but was not worth the price considering the terrible service. I understand it was a busy lunch and we would have been happy to wait, but the lack of communication and attention to basic details ruined our experience.
Good food but we were unlucky to have 2 extremely noisy tables next to us was very annoying. Service was pretty good
I thought the place looked great and the service was top notch. My only issue was that my ribs I ordered tasted burnt (the only reason I didn't complain was because I was on a date and didn't want to be a negative nancy). My dates food, however, tasted really great.
