Cockle Bay waterfront is one of the city’s most popular and picturesque destinations; visited by tourists and locals. The stylish and atmospheric design is beautifully complemented by the exciting sights, smells and sounds from the open kitchen, creating a dining experience like no other in Sydney. Coal fires, smokers and an open kitchen make for a social experience, where diners can entertain guests against a busy backdrop, or simply sit back and watch the show.

I have never had a bad meal at Hunter & Barrel - Cockle Bay. I live north of Seattle, WA, USA and look forward to my trips to Sydney so I can enjoy Darling Harbour and a restaurant that is not inundated with tourists. If you want a tourist trap, stay down at sea level. If you want excellent food, come up to the level of and east end of the Prymont Bridge. Get their Hunter's Club app and enjoy rewards and 10% credit toward a future visit. I'm typing this while looking at Puget Sound with a $18.19 credit, a complimentary glass of wine and a complimentary Walnut Brownie waiting for my next Sydney trip!
