Top notch concept! Service was slow, but sure will improve with time.
Our waiter, Michael, was very good. The elote was the best I've ever had...shrimp tacos the same. It's a beautiful restaurant at the Las Colinas canal...we will be back.
Over priced food that is not anything like it’s described on the menu. The sauces are too tangy, even for someone like me who loves that attribute. Portions are small if you DID care to finish the food and the cocktails are weak and small for the price.
Very noisy but fun. Service was a tad slow, but maybe due to bar staff being so busy? Food was amazing.
Too loud. Screaming to be heard. Food delish. Wait staff mediocre
Great place to take someone one a first date or meeting, you and actually have dinner and conversation without it being grounded out by load music or someone else’s conversation.
We LOVE Hugo Invitados. We’ve been there a few times for dinner and the other night took a friend out who is leaving Dallas and moving to Chicago. The food has been consistently great and the drinks are unique. Hugo makes a point to stop at tables to make sure all is ok and I see him pitch in to help out wait staff when things get busy. I highly recommend this restaurant to all looking for food that is consistently delicious
Amazing as always
Great place to eat and amazing service!!! The food is soooo fresh and GOOD!
Our server was not attentive. Did not check back for drinks and water in a timely fashion.
Was stunned by this place
Great tasting FRESH food with Wonderful Drinks special! Service was amazing.
I chose to go here for my birthday. I told the server and didn’t get any acomdations. Was expecting a desert on the house or a drink at least.
Excellent atmosphere in the bar area, accommodating staff, and excellent servers. Food is unique and tasty! Interesting cocktails too!
The ambiance is gorgeous and impeccable! Service was top notch!
Their cocktails were sexy and so delicious, definitely noteworthy!! Picture worthy for sure.
Appetizers and Food were so good, especially the crackling pollo, which had an amazing cucumber salad.
Some of the dishes were a little heavy, thus not allowing some of the amazing details to shine through. But I think that’s a personal preference.
The food was awesome overall.
But the Star of the show was the dessert - Tres Leches. Not your usual Tres Leches, with coconut milk and a toasted whipped meringue on top. Omg
The details in this restaurant from the ambience, the pops of green, the organic and fresh ingredients, made this an amazing dining experience!!!
Definitely a place for date night or for friends to gather. ❤️
While some of their items may seem a bit overpriced, one has to remember that quality ingredients are being used from start to finish. Where I find an exception to this understanding is their cocktails; they are simply overpriced. Still, this restaurant is gaining popularity and the servers are barely able to keep up. This left our service lacking. Our server, though intentionally attentive, was overwhelmed and even forgetful at times. One more factor that made the evening a bit chaotic was the noise level; it was a bit overwhelming at times which makes difficult for a group conversation at a table.
I hate to give Hugo’s a negative review, because we have typically enjoyed our meals there. Unfortunately, yesterday’s experience was extremely disappointing. We had a reservation and were seated promptly and ordered our drinks. Over 30 minutes later our drinks still had not arrived. When we complained we were told the bar was “backed up” and that we were next. But multiple drinks kept coming out without ours. After I got up and directly complained, we finally got our drinks. All this time we still didn’t have our entrees. More than an hour after arriving we were still waiting. The manager told us the “pork chop takes awhile” and that “22 orders came in rapidly” before ours. I’m sorry that’s no excuse. That’s poor kitchen and bar management. The food is excellent and we like the ambiance and the waiters (who were helpless because of the kitchen’s incompetence), but this experience has dampened our enthusiasm for going back to Hugo’s and that’s a shame. On top of that, Hugo’s added insult to injury by reporting us to Open Table as a “no show” for our reservation. This was not a good night for them. The manager did comp our first round of drinks, which was a nice gesture, but it wasn’t enough to make us feel good about a disappointing evening.
Food was good, the chips were not
First time here and I’ll definitely be back . Love the service and the food was delicious 😋!!
Food and service was excellent!
What a terrific place. Many healthy options filled with great flavor. Loved the "straws" and the story of how they are made. If you have not been, you need to go.
The waiter was very nice but service was slow. We got there on Saturday right when it opened so maybe they were still warming up the grills, etc? We ordered off the brunch menu and the food was alright, nothing extraordinary. The music was very loud, but the decor was really cool.
our service was OUTSTANDING! We were going to the QUEEN concert that night and our waitress was very timely and considerate as to our timeframe. I was NOT impressed with the food at all and I was really looking forward to it. Both rice selections sounded great on paper; in reality, bland. Black beans were just black beans. Chicken tacos ok, but salty. Smoked brisket tacos dry and very little protein ounces in both selections. I had the whiskey sour which was too sweet and the round, thick chips??? What's with that?
Great food, outstanding service. Noisy but everything else made it worth the trip. We would definitely go back again.
Excellent service and food! We will be back soon!!
Unique and always excellent!! Attentive staff. They care about the customer experience.
We just did, it was a little loud inside for dinner but Christian was good and margaritas were dynamite
Food was great. Service was timely.
The food is always spot on and so flavorful! Service was excellent too!
We really enjoyed the interesting menu items here - not stuff you see at every restaurant, and including some unique dessert items. There's also an extensive tequila/mezcal menu, and everything is managed at a leisurely pace. Our server was excellent--keeping an eye on us without being intrusive. That seems to be a rare talent these days! They do go a tiny bit over the top with the way food is plated and served. So maybe ask for your sauces on the side...
excellent shrimp. chips and salsa alone are worth it
Would I go back? No, unless any of my friends who work in Irving ask to meet there.
Why? TOO noisy, you can hardly talk. Overpriced Mexican food!! 17usd for 2 tacos?! Really? and the tenderloin was hard and a bit dry... Poor service: Our drinks came after the food ... overall a very poor experience. I would stick to MiCocina Southlake!
Hugo’s is our Friday night go to for happy hour and dinner! Great people, great food and great margaritas!
Hugo’s was Amazing! The food, ambiance, service were outstanding!
I have lived in Las Colinas for 20+ years and have been waiting for a restaurant of the calibre of Hugo’s to open in my neighborhood. Good quality-excellent, great craft cocktails and the staff is well-trained & very attentive. I even got to meet the proprietor when I inquired about the restaurant’s owners!! Keep it up Hugo & staff.
Hugo’s was amazing! Food was incredible and well priced!
Wonderful and surprising. A great place to eat before a show at the pavilion
The food is terrible. Saddest chips and salsa ever! The flatbread was gray and flavorless.
Great service and incredible food.
