Perfect mix of food, service and setting. One of the best restuarants in DFW.
The food was good but the enchilada was not hot. We were seated but our waiter never came to the table. A waiter servicing a large group next to us made a point of helping and serving our table even though it wasn’t his. He was outstanding. He told us several time that the manager was going to come talk to us but the manager never did. The food and the setting (and the outstanding service by the waiter that didn’t have to do it) was good enough that we will go back and try it again. Hopefully the waiters and the manager will have their act together next time.
Love this place!!!! Food is awesome and service impeccable!!!
It was AMAZING!! The food...to die for! I had the carne brava with mouthwatering steak and fresh tortillas, my fiancée had the delicious vegetarian enchiladas. The waiter was awesome...very attentive and accommodating and the cocktail selection was nice. Wonderful and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely return on my next trip to Houston!
Delicious! I had the kale y quinoa salad and it was amazing! Good atmosphere, and on a beautiful day the patio is ideal! I’ll be back
Everything was great service was a little slow but other than that thumbs up
Great food...excellent quality and so many healthy options which we love. Our kids also enjoy the food and the noise level is pretty high so it's awesome for families:) Hugo's was hopping on Mother's Day so service was a bit slower than what we've grown accustomed to. Also I think the portions seemed smaller than normal. We thought it was a buffet as it was on Easter but we ordered off the menu. Overall good experience
Great food and wonderful service! The portions are slightly bigger than tapas, but smaller than regular restaurants. The server suggested a seafood special appetizer and did it deliver or what!!! The quinoa chocolate cake was dense but delicious, although the Tres leeches was the star of our meal. Will be back for more.
Great place! Food was delicious, tried a corn margarita, was a little skeptical but I am glad I did, ended up having a second one! Had a wonderful waiter his name was Rey, went with all his recommendations and they were all stupendous!!! want to return with my family soon...Must try!!!!!
The tuna tartare appetizer was phenomenal! The grilled pineapple margarita was really good, followed by a Blueberry Smash margarita that was excellent as well. I’d have the pineapple one again for certain. Dinner was diver scallops but I would skip the huitlacoche side....too weird of a taste for me. House baked chips and salsa were excellent as well. Our server was the best. Took time to explain things to us and was on the spot with everything. Food was out quickly and nice and hot. I would visit again next time I’m in Las Colinas
Great evening, we really enjoyed it. Food quality and presentation were outstanding as were table visits from management and server
We had a good experience! The food was good! Things took a little longer than expected for food + drinks, but everything was delicious! We had tacos and carne asada - both were great! Brussels sprouts were amazing, elotes were okay. The rice is fantastic! House margarita was smooth and delicious! Our waiter had a great attitude and was attentive, but very busy with lots of tables. We loved the environment, and will definitely be back!
Lovely as usual. My boyfriend & I always come here for date night and we never leave disappointed.
Excellent food, excellent wait staff, client loves the place too!
High Quality ingredients and presentation are just the normal way they do business. The menu mix is able to take care of most diets and they are more than willing to accommodate any special needs you might have. My wife has many allergies and they modify what ever she orders to meet her needs, something a lot of restaurants frown on..
We had a great time and a wonderful meal. The cocktails were innovative, the food was incredibly fresh and the service was excellent. The food was great but the service put the evening over the top.
Hugo’s is our go to spot for Friday night. The food is always amazing. The tiger prawn appetizer is a must have. Crackling pollo, barbacoa and the ceviche are always great.
The margarita mix made my friends and my stomach upset. I ordered the salmon and while the salmon was good the sauce that came with it was tasteless.
Excellent-had visitor from New York and he just loved Hugo's-
My daughter and son-in-law had recommended Hugos’Invitados. What a wonderful experience it was. The design of the locale is beautiful, especially the Tequila room where we had our dinner. Christian, our waiter, was the most knowledgeable tequila waiter I have encountered. He was raised in tequila country. He was completely available, helpful, described very well the options, suggested appropriately and was even discretely funny.
We had ceviche and tuna tartare appetizers with 4 unusually delicious margaritas. The mango/pineapple tequila was a hit, and so was the spicy one. Our entrees included cochinita pibil - perfect, salmon with seasoned rice on a base of beans (I left nothing in the plate), tacos and the Kobe-type steak on a “ mole” bed. All was well seasoned, not hot like most Mexican restaurants are, just well put together. And all is organic, even the straws!
Dessert complimented well the meal, satisfying, not overfilling.
I highly recommend this place and would come back again - all the way from San Antonio, Texas.
Such a fun and happy place! I just loved the patio. The service was extremely good and our food was artfully prepared, beautiful to look at (and take pictures of) and tasted delicious. It's super important to me to eat clean and healthy and the "Uno" bowl I chose fit the bill - quinoa, Brussels spout, baby heirloom, and avocado. No question I'll be back!
Flavors underwhelming and boring. Tacos and sides. Second time to visit with the same impression. Tried Mexican
Pecan pie ice cream. Sounded delicious but the rock salt on to and throughout made it impossible to finish. Service was good overall.
Fantastic spot, food was fresh & delicious! House margaritas during happy hour we’re spot on & a great price. Service out on the patio was spot on. We’re definitely coming back.... A strong recommendation... Give it a try, you won’t disappointed!
Service was absolutely outstanding. Beautiful ambiance and great food!
WAY too loud. Will definitely come back when I can sit outside. Inside is insanely loud. Also, Diego is an excellent server.
Food was very good - great shrimp! chips nd salsa, just sorta blah. VERY expensive Easter brunch buffet, $50 per person.
The Easter Brunch was phenomenal!
This was our second visit to Hugo’s and we attended the Easter brunch which was absolutely amazing.
We were able to sample many menu items and of course, also have breakfast items and dessert.
The food here is always fresh and tasty; it is also healthy, at least in comparison to other Mexican restaurants. The chips, for example, are baked rather than fried. The service is generally efficient and friendly. The two salsas are tasty. Good margaritas.
The avocado tuna tartar tower is AMAZING!
We loved the place. Try their cucumber margarita!
Great atmosphere. Way too much green tomatilla in everything for me. Most sauces tasted sour. Very minimal use of cheese. Food was just not good for the price.
Always a pleasant time at Hugo’s! Food and drinks are always top notch.
Of the four of us, two are on special diets and the other two are very healthy eaters. There were plenty of dishes to pick from that fit the requirements. The daily special of spinach salad with salmon, fresh berries and mango, goat cheese and jalapeños was excellent. I hope it is a standard dish soon.
Food was great, I love the setting with outdoor area available.
Love Hugo’s! Great food, awesome atmosphere and all around lots of fun. My only complaint is the noise level. It’s LOUD. But definitely gives it an upbeat feel. Just don’t go if you are looking for quiet conversation!
Their cucumber-serrano margaritas are refreshing and delicious. The food was good, not blown away by it, though. The restaurant has a good vibe, but it was very noisy inside. We would go back and try the patio seating or grab a quick bite at the bar. Worth another try.
Hugo’s is top-notch from The time you walk into the time you leave. Their service is always personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The kitchen is quick to get out your order. The environment is so fun and the perfect balance of calm and energy. And no matter how much you eat… You leave feeling good, full, and satisfied.
Food ... Fantastic
Atmosphere ... Wonderful
Staff ... Amazing
Food is amazing! Chef Natalio came out to our table and explained the cuisine and recommendations. Great service too.
Even though the restaurant is very pretty it is so noisy, even though it was not close to crowded. The food was nothing special and the “chips” are thick and didn’t taste fresh. We tried several different dishes and margaritas and shared tastes and everyone in the party agreed it was a 3 out of 5. It was okay but we probably wouldn’t rush back.
