Hotel Brighton is our local hotel. We frequent there often and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The menu is full of variety and the wine reasonably priced. When the upstairs bar is open it’s worth a visit. Front bar can be noisy but the dining area is quiet. Will always return

We ordered the fish and chips, scotch fillet steak and seafood linguine. All were excellent. The staff are brilliant and for a quieter location I would definitely book the dining room.

The service was absolutely horrendous! We waited over 30 minutes before our food order was taken. Our entrees came out quite quickly but the main meals took a ridiculously long time. We even had to ask 2 times where 3 of the meals were. Eventually the last meal was delivered after just about everyone had finished their meals. We will not return again.

Food was okay, our group ate parmas, schnitzel & pasta. Chips were tasty, parmas average and side salad was just salad leaves. Bistro dinning space had zero ambience as it's used as a walkway to the rooftop so foot traffic is high and noise from the public bar pretty loud but to be expected on a busy Friday night. Could improve dessert menu options and inject some flavour into the parmas.

Some good old style items on the menu. My serve of Gnocchi was tasty and enough to eat on a warm day. Friend had a pleasant parma meal and enjoyed the wine options. Coffee was excellent. Splitting the bill at the counter was much appreciated. I have been there many times, but not usually to eat. Keep it simple, and dont change anything. Very accessible location. We will be back.... ,

We really enjoyed steak night at Hotel Brighton. Yummy food, steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive but busy and they were delayed when bringing the dessert menu so we decided not to have any. Coffee was nice though. Noise levels were energetic but we could hear each other across the table.

Unfortunately we never got our mains. They might have forgotten to call them w kitchen and after an hour of waiting we had to leave to make it to the movies. Shame, heard such good things about their Parma’s.

Specifically requested a table by the wall and not in the centre - yet we were seated right at the back centre ! My booking was made 2 weeks out so should have been accommodated. Very noisy, needs sound dampening. Food and value were ok. Will head to Albert Park next time.

Booked for 8pm and arrived at 8.20pm and the staff were fine with us being late. The service was excellent and took our drink order immediately and then the food order once we had reviewed the menu and decided. The food came quickly and the staff were always up for a chat and very helpful. Overall very good place to relax and have a great meal and very reasonable prices.

sat at 0630pm, meals arrived 740pm. no communication from floor staff only six tables occupied in restaurant absolutely no communication between kitchen floor and customers everyone complaining about wait not one person on floor stepped up and communicated lots of errors in dining delivery, lots of errors in covid plans, lots of things not available on menu and wine list..no one has updated for some time..the skinniest fat chips I have ever seen...not only are chips on diet so is service and kitchen...would I ever go again...not bloody likely...someone is asleep at the helm...disaster waiting to happen...avoid

The food was good and the location ideal - next to the theatre. The crowd was lively and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. What spoilt it for us was the level of noise. We don't like shouting to be heard. The wait staff were very good and the service quick and professional.

Overall very good. The food is always good. Perhaps a couple of main courses were a little small. For example the seafood fettucine needed a bit more pasta. There was plenty of sauce and seafood though. Some waiters were friendly whilst others were not.

Have to say it was a quite night due to Covid. We really enjoyed that extra space, the peace and quite and quick efficient service. Food was excellent. Really recommend the barramundi. It was succulent and full of flavor. . 1/2 roast chicken was excellent and so was the seafood pasta. Definitely recommend.
