Hogget is the name given to a lamb between weaning and first shearing. It is the time when the meat is at its most tender and flavoursome.

Our menu has been designed to work with ingredients that are sourced locally at the peak of their season. Our kitchen prepares each element from scratch, using techniques that have been around for generations. Techniques that ensure you will see and taste each ingredient and remember your meal, long after you leave the table. Our menu is designed to be shared with family and friends as we believe in the importance of connections over food.

We were here for a Valentine's dinner and loved the food and wine. Only downside was there didn't seem to be enough waitstaff for the number of tables so we ended up having to spend a fair bit of time trying to catch someone's attention just to ask for the wine list.

I attended Hogget Kitchen and pre-arranged for the "Let Trev Cook for you Option."

We had five courses, some to share. The food was delicious, a range of different meats were presented to us and the dessert was fresh and delightful.

The staff were friendly and courteous and were prompt to serve us. A bit more of an explanation on what the food is along with where the ingredients were sourced would have been apprecieted and would add to the experience.

The staff sat us facing the window to the winery, the view could not be faulted, it was stunning and really made the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Splendid views & wonderful ambience, a great place to enjoy a Sunday wine overlooking the vineyard or for an intimate evening diner.
Seasonal & local produce, Gippslands finest!

Great restaurant - if I had one small recommendation I ordered a steak medium well and it came out fully well done but still tasted fine - since it was 'a first world problem' I was not about to let the great steak go to waste so if I go back again I'd prob order a medium. But everything else was fantastic.

Food always good, not a great spot for vegetarians though. I enjoy this restaurant but don't like the display of meat when sitting facing it. Tables could be positioned to allow more guests to enjoy the view

The experience at Hoggetts Kitchen is always pleasant and delicious. Not cheap though.
For the restaurant to be almost empty the Saturday before Christmas should be worrying to the owner. Time for a rethink?

We love the fabulous fresh local produce that shines through Trevor's subtle and thoughtful dishes. An interesting wine list. Cannot go past the Houston champagne. Sublime.

Really good food. I had the steak which was very good but served with just chips. Some greens would have made it excellent. Could have ordered a side of greens but this makes it a pricey $48 steak meal.

I would be happy to have my dinner at Hoggart every night ! Taste was fantastic ,meat cooked to tender delight & plenty on the plate.
Wine selection very good and service friendly and into food AND growing it.
Well done!

We chose “Let Trevor cook for you” and every dish was delicious, and plenty for all four guests. the pork crackling was perfect. The dessert was fresh fruit salad, and we ordered the lemon tart as an extra because we had enjoyed it so much on a previous visit.

Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, the menu was imaginative and catered to individual dining preferences. The wine list promoted a local winery but I found that the price per glass/bottle was more expensive than I expected. We had a Sunday lunch where a fixed price menu offered a two or three course option - the main serving sizes ( on the small side) could have been supplemented with a side of veggies.

Excellent service, meals were beautiful. We went with the chefs choices and there was so much we couldn’t eat it all. I think we got to try everything on the menu. Exceptionally good value considering how much we got.

You won't regret the "Let Trev cook for you" option. The wait staff were lovely and very attentive. We will be back!
