About Hogget Kitchen
Hogget is the name given to a lamb between weaning and first shearing. It is the time when the meat is at its most tender and flavoursome.
Our menu has been designed to work with ingredients that are sourced locally at the peak of their season. Our kitchen prepares each element from scratch, using techniques that have been around for generations. Techniques that ensure you will see and taste each ingredient and remember your meal, long after you leave the table. Our menu is designed to be shared with family and friends as we believe in the importance of connections over food.

Food was great - except for our vegetarian guest who found the menu limiting.
Surprising to have a selection of sparkling wines on the wine list, yet no champagne flutes to drink from. Having a blanc-de-blanc from a cab-sav red wine glass was a novelty I could have done without.
We (2 couples) visited Hogget's kitchen for lunch during a weekend getaway from Melbourne. What an amazing lunch! I am not a big lover of red meat but the rib eye was the best I have ever had, and everyone around the table agreed that this was just amazing quality and brilliantly cooked. We had a few side dishes as well, and a couple of desserts and everything was excellent. Wines were really good as well and the staff was very generous in letting us taste a couple of wines before choosing one. Such a great experience, will definitely be back!
We went to Hoggett Kitchen for lunch on Father's Day this year. We had never been here before and we were very impressed. The food was top quality and very generous servings. We love that all the ingredients are locally sourced and everything is homemade. We will definitely be back!
We have visited Hoggett three times now over the last two months.For those in the region the dining experience is excellent.The care and attention to detail in regard to local produce that is served is a feature .The staff service is attentive and good.The floor manager on the two occassions I have been to the Kitchen is warm ,friendly and looks are your needs to a very professional way.This restaurant is a welcome addition to a beautiful country region well worth visiting.
We had Trev's recommendations for dinner and the food was amazing. The lamb was so tender and delicious. The soup was artichoke soup, a dish I wouldn't have previously ordered, and I was so thankful that I did because it was thick and full of flavour.
