Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.

This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. Boasting a killer menu and a super cool vibe, this place is known for a cocktail, feast or an intimate date night.

Really loved the food and atmosphere and lovely staff. As it was our first time dining and we were heading to a show and were recommended to have the $49 pp menu. It was quite confusing the way it was described to us and unfortunately it was way too much food for us. We wish the wait staff could have suggested that we didn't need all dishes as they were a generous size. We felt bad wasting so much and couldn't bag any up as going onto the show. Will know for next time just to order a lot less.

There was alot of hype and great reviews on Ho chi Mama, However I found it to be pretty average for the price you pay.My wife and I had the chicken bao buns, they were fantastic,I had pad see ew, that was nice.Wife had Mama's pad thai and didn't really rate it,Roti bread with peanut dipping sauce always good.Vietnamese espresso martini is soooooo good though.

We had to be quick because we has theatre tickets and had been delayed getting to restaurant. Staff were very responsive and we had an excellent light meal (2 small bites each). Dealt with allergies very well. Great, varied vegetarian choices. Will definitely be back - hopefully to enjoy a more relaxed dinner!
