Hill of Grace Restaurant
Each dish is carefully crafted with a strong focus on the use of locally grown, farmed or fished produce. The menu is complemented by a wine list that features more than 160 premium SA wines, headlined by the namesake Henschke Hill of Grace.
The collaboration with Henschke also means the restaurant is home to the world’s only complete set of Hill of Grace wines on display, a priceless collection from 1958 to the current release.
A perfect 70th birthday celebration with the 6 course degustation with paired wines.
Certainly the wines were the centrepiece of this experience, with each matched course a triumph.
The amazing amuse-bouche set a cracking pace paired with the Johanne Ida Selma sparkling wine.
The whole experience was supported by an excellent sommelier who should also be bottled! (Some diction training and food knowledge for the food attendant would be helpful for her career.)
The location is fantastic and is a great place for any occasion. The food is first class and not overall priced. Wine selection is one of the best you will find anywhere and I would highly recommend to anyone who has never been there before
The worst part of this experience was the constant loud noise coming from a neighbouring room. Complete with throbbing woofer, this provided the worst possible ambience for a special occasion. If the restaurant can’t control its neighbours it should close on nights when a cacophony is planned.
The food (degustation) was pleasant but not memorable. The service was painfully slow - made worse by the fact we were in a hurry to leave because of the awful noise.
The night was finished by presenting the worst coffee any of could remember.
Sadly, never again.
Very classy restaurant with exceptional food and service.
I took my boss and his clients there. They were so impressed with the level of food and services and they could consider taking their clients in Tokyo. It was an ideal occasion for the VIP clients to be invited especially on weekdays when it is not so busy.
Food and Service was outstanding. Looking out the window at the oval was great too. Took my husband there for his birthday. He was over the moon. Wish we could dine there all the time unfortunately we can't afford it and would only be for those special occasions. Highly recommend.
Gracious welcome and excellent service throughout.
The food was outstanding - looked great and tasted even better!
Hill of Grace Restaurant is in a unique location at Adelaide Oval and like it’s iconic Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz is just fabulous! A must to try out for a special occasion with its’ unique food and excellent service. We’re impressed with the friendly and wonderful atmosphere created by their catering staff especially Stacy and the Jack the manager. My wife was really happy with the choice I made in choosing Hill of Grace Restaurant for celebrating her birthday! We’ll definitely come back.
The service was excellent with a warm welcome and lovely staff who were attentive throughout making sure our glasses were refilled and meals served without long waits. The food was delicious reflecting the use of fresh produce and attention to detail in the provision of many flavours. The menu provided an excellent range of choices. The venue is spectacular with views of the sun setting over the oval and intrepid climbers scaling the stands. The tables were spacious and the room uncrowded.
Good view of the Adelaide Oval perfect whilst dining in style and watching a game
We really did love our experience, the food was absolutely delicious and the venue is incredible! However, the air con wasn't working which meant we were hot and uncomfortable. It made the red wines and rich food harder to fully appreciate. We also felt it was a bit rough to be charged $20 for sparkling water for the evening, given the per head cost of the degustation. Finally, the wines poured to match each dish were very small and not really enough to fully appreciate each wine.
The atmosphere was amazing watching roofclimbers, pitch preparation and jets flying over. Waiting staff were impeccable and the food was truly 5 star.
Celebrated our Wedding Anniversary, the staff were very attentive and friendly. Accommodated our late arrival by enabling us to pre-order, as we did the RoofClimb prior to dining.
Absolutely wonderful! Exceptional food and service! Attention to my wife’s allergy was tremendous!
A really special experience. Luxurious. Every mouthful tickled thaw taste buds.
Absolutely fantastic night. Excellent food every course was perfect, staff were well kept and dignified.
Treat your wife like i did
Knowledgeable wait staff
My partner and I ate here for his 21st birthday and i could not fault a thing. The food was insanely delicious and the service was superb, we felt so special all evening and will definitely return. Highly recommend.
What an amazing experience, the food is exceptional.
Wine list amazing.A wonderful experience particularly for a special occasion. The only thing missing, watching a winning game of football!
I had lamb neck which was disgusting. It was covered in globules of fat that you had to scrap off to get to the lamb. The greens were covered in a sweet onion marmalade.
I thought I was not going to like the food on the menu, but when I eventually did get it, it was amazing. I especially like the small touch of the chef coming out to our table after we'd finished. Lovely view of the Adelaide oval at night under soft light was pleasing and relaxing. All up a wonderful night. Hope one day to find time to go back there.
The food was presented to perfection. Taste and quality was also close to perfect. The wine list was good enough to please everyone and the prices for a fine dining restaurant was ok. The portions were ok but you need to order a side to share for 2 people. We had entre and main and couldn't do desert. Don't go there if you're looking for some type of all you can eat buffet. This is a class establishment. Service was exceptional. Their knowledge of the wines was very good.
Enjoyable night with great food and company. Would definitely recommend
Nice quiet place. Good food presentation and textures. friendly waiter. warm environment.
Great restaurant with top notch service. Food was excellent, especially the chicken wing. Keep up the good work!
The staff were amazing, highly attentive and friendly. The food is delicious, the wine list long and enticing and they catered for my food allergy without fuss.
Went here for my wife’s birthday. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived till we left. The evening wasn’t cheap, but we had a beautiful 3 course a la cart dinner with drinks.
Had a table that overlooked the famous Adelaide Oval. It’s a great place to go for a special occasion. Highly recommend going.
Great experience. The Degustation menu took 3 hours but we loved every minute of the experience
The food, the wine, the waiters, the venue and the service was top class. It is a fantastic venue to watch the sunset, see the roof walkers, see the sprinklers on the turf and soak up the atmosphere. Our wine waiter had an amazing knowledge about the Henschke wines. The blend of food and the accompanying wines was perfect. My comment on Facebook after the dinner was that the five course degustation was the finest meal of my life!
The service cannot be beat there, however I did find the food was very nice but nothing extremely special which I was expecting for a venue like that. Again, please, it's not to say it was bad but I was expecting it to be exceptional.
Very courteous and friendly staff. Exceptional food, fantastic view and great service.
Hill of Grace was an excellent choice by my wife to catch up with close friends of over 30 years, The room and view over Adelaide oval was spectacular. The food delicious and the table service impeccable.
Spent mt 60th in a degustation....sensational!...3 of us ...an extemely pleasant 3 hours.
Food and service excellent! Lovely special occasion experience
fantastic venue with great view of the Adelaide oval. Great food, attentive staff and great wine. I will be back.
This is an exceptional restaurant - highly recommended.
The Staff where trying hard but they were a little inexperienced with that Deer in the Headlights look when they were asked any questions or feedback given with a friendly joke. There were some really nice dishes but there were a few that was really not worth the fuss. The Desert was too over the top with dark chocolate. Other than that the venue was nice and clean but the setting sun was very bright even with the blinds drawn until it disappeared behind the Members Grand Stand.
We were met with a welcome smile and ushered to our table by the window with amazing views of Adelaide oval. The table was nice and roomy for
2 people. All staff members were very knowagable about the food and wine and very efficient.
It was a fantastic meal with great friendly service at an iconic location
