Hikari’s menu is inspired from “izakaya”, the traditional Japanese pub. We put a twist on izakaya dishes so be enjoyed not only with Japanese Sake but with great Australian wines as well. All Hikari dishes are designed to be shared or be enjoyed individually.

Twice we have visited Hikari and have not been disappointed. The food is fresh, delicious and some of the best Japanese food I've had. The staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend it.
Incredible food - equal best Japanese experience in Brisbane with Honto. What took the edge off the experience was an aloof group of waiters who were running about looking busy but not that attentive. Fix that and this is a solid 5 stars, as the food is absolutely superb and inventive!

We love Hikari! Their food- especially BAOs are the best !! Although last Sunday when we visited (we usually visit fri or sat night and the service always has been great!!) I hate to say but we really had to wait a long time to be served. Except for that Hikari is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Brisbane and love their food 🙏

The food was good and consistent as always. We ordered to share and keep ordering however the second lot of orders we places seemed to take a really long time to arrive at our table.. We were sitting there waiting for 2 bao for over 35 minutes. The food is always good, not amazing but consistent. The menu has definitely decrease with the situation this year, hopefully they'll be able to increase it again in the near future.

Excellent Japanese food, by a Japanese chef, with a slightly different spin on it. Every dish we tried was fantastic. Book ahead, the place is becoming popular and for good reason.
amazing food and venue, hosts were wonderful . the food is authentic and unique with a wide variety to select from. we will be back to keep trying new options. close to the river for a after dinner walk which was a nice highlight. parking was easy and we were able to find the restaurant easily.

Hikari is amazing and so is the service - Hahn (my apologies if name and spelling is incorrect) is so energetic with a vibrant personality that he makes the eating experience wonderful....so friendly! We will be making Hikari a regular eat out for sure.
