Casual place to get a tasty meal. A tad hectic eating in the inside tables due to the public karaoke area.
The team were having a difficult night, with the internet dropping out and causing severe problems with the karaoke. They dealt with it in a calm and friendly manner, initially offering us a voucher for a return visit, but refunding our money when requested.
Our expectations re food were not in line with what was offered. We ordered the $25 menu for 5 people. Each person received 3 fairly small (but deliciously tasty) skewers. We were given 2 small bowls of rice and 2 small bowls of salad to share between the 5 of us. If we were in a restaurant and not a bar I would have expected to pay around $70 for the amount of food we received. We were all hungry after. The food options were limited and were definitely snack foods, not dinner options. Again, this may have been an error in our expectations, rather than how things were advertised.
We will definitely give them another go as a karaoke bar, but will eat somewhere else beforehand.
We had a fantastic night of karaoke with a great eclectic crowd. The food was average and minimal in options but reasonably priced and the drinks were tasty. Go there for the atmosphere and great karaoke!
Made a booking and yet no one was expecting us. Average food and over charged for meal and drinks. Won't go back as much better places to go to
The food was simple yet so tasty, the interiors of the bar were beautiful, the rooftop had an amazing view. Karaoke was ridiculous amount of fun with a super friendly attentive host.
It was my birthday and we had a lot of fun there!
This place has potential and is in a great location, but we found a lot of small things added up to us not enjoying the experience as much as we could have. As there are a lot of amazing places in Melbourne and this makes it a competitive market when it comes to quality of experience. We ordered the Big Set meal option which was $45 per head but found that it wasn't a lot of food for what you paid & wasn't the best in terms of taste. The meat skewers were dry, the brisket way too salted and the vegetables (in particular the eggplant skewer) were soggy. Half of our food was also forgotten about and we had to convince the service staff that we hadn't received it which was disappointing. In terms of the restaurant itself, it would have been nice to sit up on the roof top but the day we went it was way to hot to sit up there. We also found that the lift to get up to the restaurant took so long to come down to the ground floor that we thought it might have been broken and were about to call to find out what was going on when eventually it turned up.
Heaps of fun, tasty food, cool venue and amazing value.
Amazing food, tasty and interesting cocktails, fun atmosphere, cannot recommend this place highly enough!
The yum cha (r) even was good. The food was great. But the method of tickets to collect your meals meant that I had to wait around for the food for 20 min while my date was by them selves at the table. Next time the food should come out faster so people dont have to wait around for so long, or you should offer table service.
A great rooftop bar and awesome asian bbq food. Loved the cocktails. Beef brisket is unbelievable. Karaoke available as well, but I haven't tried it.
Fun spot for a evening out in the town! Amazing food and delicious drinks.. service is top notch!
I was worried Heroes was going to be too loud for a get together of 8, but it was the only place on a Friday last minute that could accommodate such a large group. Although there was music in the background we conversed easily, even when the karaoke moved upstairs to where we were in the bar, which added to the fun atmosphere. The rooftop bar has plenty of seating and relatively sheltered so good for Melbourne's changing weather. We had a great night at Heroes - a fantastic place to show visitors Melbourne's bar scene.
