Heritij - Brisbane
Went for a saturday lunch. Restaurant was almost empty. Service was average, and the food was terrible! Very disappointing.
Fabulous service, lovely staff, the food was delicious however we would have enjoyed a spicy option, the food was quite mild.
Great food and service. The menu variety was fantastic with pricing quite cheap compared to similar standards of dining in the city and south Brisbane.
Terrible service! No greeting upon arrival while waiting in bar area, didn’t ask if needed anything despite it being empty. A number of different servers. Most of which seemed inadequately trained. Couldn’t open a bottle of wine, we had to show the server how to use a cork screw. Food was nice but nothing amazing. Expected better.
Lovely lunch and great lunch special. Our waiter was lovely and even packed up our left overs to go :) Highly recommend, wish more people consider this restaurant during the week!
The food was amazing, especially the starters including Paneer Pasanda, Konkan Pork and the Bhaji. The staff were very attentive, but we went on a Monday night and it was not very busy (which was surprising given how good the food was).
This was our second time at this Restaurant and the food is amazing. The staff is really friendly and always at hand to help you with recommendations.
Fabulous food. We have been here twice and they never fail to impress us. The staff here r so friendly and professional. A big shout out to all of them n the lovely food they cook and bring to our table
Food and Location (including decor) was terrific however we were the one ones in the whole restaurant (Thursday lunchtime). Would have been better with bit of buzz and more guest to up the ambience level.
The restaurant, people and food exceptional. Unfortunately it was for my daughters birthday and she was unwell and so we had to leave early. The restaurant had even arranged a desert as the knew it was her birthday - which we appreciated but didn’t get to due to her feeling unwell. We’ve agreed to do a ‘make up’ dinner back at Heritaj in the very near future and can’t wait!
Excellent fusion food. Fantastic venue. Love the service and overall venue. Great views of Brisbane Ferris wheel and river.
Food was below par and too expensive for what was served.
$10 for a bowl of rice was annoying to pay for.
Amazing food, service and venue. Highly recommended
Sadly, we were with friends visiting from Sydney. Music to loud as we walked in & the entire evening. Host asked us twice if we had a reservation, which we did however, we had arrived early for a cocktail. Three dirty gin martini’s were ordered - three martini’s with a lemon twist turned up - they were not acceptable & not what we ordered. Not enough heating outside eating in a coat was not acceptable. Dirty toilets!! Staff smile but not customer focussed. Food was good.
Great dishes, fantastic service. My husband and I dined there for the first time for our wedding anniversary, we plan to visit again in the future.
Great atmosphere and food! Prices were reasonable and the view was amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a great night out in the city!
It’s been really nice surprise, have a nice early dinner: food great and great service
Can not wait to go back next month. They were under staffed at 9pm so we were left wondering around the restaurant as no one at the bar would help seat us. The food was flawless. Wish I had room for more!
Delightful Indian food at a very reasonable price given location and quality! Amazing view!
Good food ambience is great, some of the wait staff whilst pleasant and friendly were not very fluent in English
The only thing I would say food-wise is don't go here for the curries. The cooking is second to none but I was not really into the curries. It was apparent that the meats were cooked beautifully, but the curry sauces were not as good as what you would find at a good curry house. The other things on the menu were beautiful.
It was an amazing experience. I would highly reccomend the food and service. They couldn't do enough for us and were always willing to help. An amazing overall experience.
Our favourite Indian restaurant for special occasions. We love the casual vibe with the attentive service staff. Above all the food is always outstanding, creative but honouring it’s traditional roots. I am vegan and the menu is cleverly crafted to accomodate vegetarians as well as vegans.
Disappointing the fire alarm went off at the end of the night.
Very enjoyable, great venue great food. Pretty reasonably priced and staff were very attentive and had a good knowledge of the menu
Excellent food, wonderful setting (overlooking the river), great service. I'll be going back for more.
An excellent night out, delicious menu with great wine selection. We really enjoyed the great service and tasty food.
Food was incredible, will definitely be back for those curries and naans!
But it took 30 minutes for my cocktail to arrive and the ambience of the restaurant is a bit confusing.
The problem with Heritij is that some of the food is excellent with very subtle flavours and other parts of the menu are a really poor standard.
For instance the somosas dough is really thick and tough. In fact it's the worst somosas I've ever had. The filling was okay.
The nan was excellent. Probably the best I've ever eaten. It was lovely and light and crisp.
The barramundi was dry. It was almost inedible.
The curries were just above average. The rice was nicely done. Light and fluffy.
The semolina ball with the filling was lovely.
Amazing service and wonderful food. Really kind and attentive staff for a memorable birthday celebration. Great suggestions on what we should try.
The food is okay, but the service standards really poor. Out of wines on the wine list, overlapping wait staff asking us questions, not bring dishes out in sequence eg curries out but waited on rice for 5 mins...bit sloppy from a service perspective but the food was good.
I would definitely recommend Heritij and would love to go back. But it was exceptionally quiet when we had lunch, which made the overall experience a little lack lustre. The food is exceptional, but the cocktail (dirty masala chai or something) left much to be desired - a little flat in flavour to be honest. We had a small child with us and the restaurant did not have highchairs, however they did offer some cushions to help prop up the infant which was helpful. Overall, the food was superb but I might return in the evening in the hope it'll be more buzzy.
Really enjoyed the food, my only suggestion would be have a few more meat curries available for main course. I found the chicken dish in the set of 3 way to creamy but the other two were excellent. This means I couldn't order this dish again as I didn't like one of the components. However there were no other curries to have instead. They also did not have the bugs available which would have been my first choice. I loved the choice of side dishes, which is something many Indian restaurants don't offer and I don't understand why. Pork belly was superb. Will definitely go back again.
The ambiance and view from the restaurant is awesome. Food is unique and dam good. The staff is very friendly. Overall, must go place again and again.
Second visit, absolutely loved our first.
Brought family with us to impress, food amazing again, service great to start with but unfortunately waited for coffee for 20minutes, turned up luke warm and then found the bar does not have drambui. Ordered scotch on the rocks - which turned up almost melted.
Overall lovely and the waitresses did a great job for the Birthday cake...
Brilliant pani Puri and the best naan I've ever had!
Lovely customer service, food and view. I feel like you should allow split billing for customer convenience.
1-Ambience was Good but missing the liveliness on a Saturday evening
2-The Menu os very restricted Hardly a choice . Presentation was poor
3-The people attending did not know the dishes and quantity per plate
4-Value for money---- Very poor
This was my second time visiting this place only to find the initial exuberance was lost As a person of Indian Origin , very dissappointed with the modified Indian Dishes
Hope to see the place filled with some energy and more variety in the Menu and people who understand the Indian Dishes being employed
I thought I had booked an inside table, but was happy with the balcony table when we were seated. Unfortunately as the night progressed, some winds and coolness approached and my partner felt the cold. A blanket for her might have been the answer. But it only cooled towards the end of the evening, so there was no point in mentioning it at the time. Its just this time of year!
Can't help the road noise, otherwise the views and ambience were good.
Food was excellent, service was attentive and excellent overall. We also felt it was good value for money.
Loved our date night.
Beautiful food. Lots of gluten free choices and staff willing to check everything and advise. Staff friendly and attentive - just a perfect balance. Great ambience and space. Have been twice now. We would highly recommend it for business lunches, couples dining, and special occasions. Thanks again for a lovely lunch.
