Thoroughly enjoyed the new additions to the menu - empanadas, garlic prawns, and honey roasted eggplant together with some old favourites -albondigas and croquettes. Service was very professional but engaging. We are regulars here and always enjoy it.

The perfect place for a bite and cocktail before the ballet. We mentioned we had to head to the show at a specific time and the staff were great

We decided to come to Heno and Rey to dine before the show. From the beginning there was no support nor initiative from any staff member. We asked for a low table in the booking and we were given a high table. Then we were never given water, even though we asked. The food arrived late and the courses did not arrive together. But the worst was ordering the dessert. Firstly, nobody came to the table to check on us so we could order. Eventually, the person who took the order was not able to answer our questions (how big is the Portuguese Tart) or explain what it was. Then we waited and waited, getting stressed about being late for the show. We went to the counter and again, nobody helped. Overall, we asked 3 times for this already-made dessert and when it finally arrived, it was cold and unappealing. The service was extremely poor and nobody acknowledged or apologised for making us wait so long. We won't recommend this place for a pre-show dining experience.

We had high expectations for this restaurant but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The food wasn’t great, the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the meal was expensive. The wait staff were lovely though. Sorry, we won’t be back.

Decided to have an early dinner here prior o a show at His Majesty’s Theatre on Friday night. My online booking confirmed that my 5:00pm booking was for a two hour sitting. Given there was just my wife and I - that’s was more than enough time for us. Our waitress was absolutely delightful, vey caring and informative. Suggesting that we should add some bread to our selection given one of our dishes was Spanish meatballs. (This was a great call) The food came out extremely fast (within minutes of ordering and was “ok” nothing to complain about, but just ok. Our gin and tonic’s were a bit on the pricey side given their local pub presentation -but again nothing to complain about. Where it all went terribly wrong was just as we had finished our meals (approximately 5:35pm the Matre de strutted up to our table and interrupted our conversation with “ just to let you know that there are other people arriving for this table at 7:00pm Given we had already finished eating and were just finishing our drinks with some 85 minutes to spare before the next booking, this approach was not just rude-but simply unnecessary. We left shortly after and went upstairs to the LOFT bar. Same hotel -different department manager. Here, we found perfect staff, perfect atmosphere and a perfect GnT’ I say, don’t waste you our time downstairs- head straight up to the loft bar and lounge and eat there instead! It’s all about the experience- and unfortunately the Matre De/manager of Heno and Rey unfortunately spoiled ours on this occasion.
