   I did not like the service, bad service from the entrance with the security to the staff and waiters. The menu options are also horrible.

   Booked for the Helm Bar. Arrived and told to head upstairs. Then told that we were actually down stairs at the Yacht Club, even though confirmation stated we were seated upstairs. Apparently the place was booked out, but there were multiple tables free inside. Taken to our table and left alone, no communication on where to get menus/drinks from etc. Food was quick, but was cold and oily when we got it. Had 2 drinks, dinner and left. Wouldn't recommend

   Cocktails were great.The fry’s with aioli we’re yum and the lobster spring rolls were amazing.DJ had a good mix of music.

   Understaffed and overpriced. Made reservation for the Cockle Bay Yacht Club but when I arrived I was told, rather rudely, that I was bumped to the Helms Bar upstairs. The bar was poorly staffed and the food was overpriced with at $28 schnitzel coming only with luke warm chips, no salad. Very poorly presented.

   Manager was rude when we asked about the gold member birthday deal and we got told to come back next year. This is very disappointing as we where here for a friends birthday today and they had signed up prior. Not enough staff on the bar which lead to unnecessary big queues. Overall not happy with our experience in here as this is a bar we normally love to go too.

   We booked through the app, when we arrived we had to wait and they just looked around for a table and put us anywhere. Was very unorganised in the booking sense of things. The music was very loud- when you think of a yacht club you think quiet music on the water but this was more like a pub/nightclub vibes. We ordered 2 drinks and food through the app and it took over 30 minutes. We had a booking for 2 hours at the venue and we left straight after our food and drink arrived.

   Very loud music, don't come here if you want to have a conversation. Staff were friendly, my fish came out undercooked (raw) so I had the uncomfortable pleasure of sending it back - hate to be that person - but it was handled gracefully. I received a polite apology and they remade the dish. Everyone in my party was pleased with the food.

   We always love the upstairs helm bar. We booked upstairs and were told on arrival that upstairs was fully booked and we were offered downstairs. Disappointing. Atmosphere was ordinary. It was loud. Food good as was service. We ate and left. We are normally at the upstairs bar for hours eating and drinking and enjoying the view and watching the crowds below walk by. We’ll go back to the upstairs bar again as it’s one of our favourites but will confirm we have a table upstairs. Wouldn’t go to downstairs bar again. Many other great locations within walking distance.

   Hi the only thing was that I have several food intolerances and I ordered a burger advising what to leave off. Unfortunately it arrived with a weird dressing which I had to send back. The staff were lovely though and resolved issue without a problem .

    On arrival we were directed upstairs (having to go outside and back in again) and then told that our table was downstairs. It wasn’t free so we had to find another table. Food was pretty average and pizzas were small for the price.

    Staff gave us drink tickets in front of Helm bar one each! But unfortunately we could not get free drinks one each because the ticket must buy with Main meal. However we orderd Meal one each(Pizza, Salad, Antipaste). It's very hard for using these tickets for us. Also downstairs was close before 9pm so our meal packed for plastic box and then went to upstairs. Upstairs is too cold because heater was not ON. I told staff Please turn ON the heater but it was never turn ON. Staff is very friendly but we felt too cold..

    Been a few years since we’ve been to Helm Bar and it was still a great place for a few hours over lunch. Friday is pizza day for $12 which is great value. Both food and bar service was quick and good. No complaints. Still a great bar for so e food and drinks.

    I booked this for Sunday lunch. We arrived and as the waitress was taking us to our table she said "oh that was your reserved table but someone else is sitting at it, you can sit here." so the nice comfy booth we were mean to sit at was taken and we got to swing our legs at the bar table. The food was good but service was pathetic. Many times we called for some assistance with serviettes, cutlery, sauce but were ignored. 2 of our drinks came out but the other 2 that were ordered at the same time, came out well after the food and when we asked about them we were told the bar staff were busy, only to look across to the bar and see the 2 guys have a conversation with no patrons. Overall I would recommend it for the food, maybe takeaway would have been better.

    Overall it was a good place to have drinks and food with friends on a Friday evening with a wonderful view of darling harbour. Drinks and foods were fairly priced. Must try place.

    This venue absolutely rocks on weekends. ANZAC Day is likely to be sensational with two-up and a commemoration of service personnel, including an Australian/ NZ themed DJ.

    Great location at Darling Harbour. The service is great, no waiting but the food needs attention. Seafood basket was way overcooked and too much batter, prawn linguini must have had essence of prawn, very few in the bowl.

    Good but bit too noise for older people, good for younger ones! Whatever they clean the tables with it extremely sticky, we thought they needed cleaning and staff did that well, however left it feeling even stickier and we could not rest on the table at all.
