The craffle was actually really nice but to do your own style it came to £10! Which I think is extortionate! They had a Mojito on the menu which my sister in law got but it had no rum in it. Shouldn't really call it a mojito if there is no alcohol it in. Just expensive fir what you get tbh. Won't be in a rush to go back. Also they didn't bring any mango to her dish when she asked she was told there wasn't any. Why wasn't she told this before or asked for a alternative. She got banana after asking but surely this should have been rectified before getting her dish with a element missing.
We was given a table less than 2 meters away from the front door and assured by the server that it would be fine as the door would be kept closed. Any other time probably wouldn’t have been a problem but considering this was the weekend of the storm and the weather was freezing outside with freezing rain and winds, it was a poor choice made by management and no one should have been made to sit there. To say It completely ruined our experience-is an understatement, the door was opened at least 20 times by customers coming in/leaving during the hour we were sat there and on several occasions I had to get up to close the door after it had been left by customers. My daughter was so cold she had to use my coat to cover her legs. The service was poor too, it took over 20mins to initially get served and a further 20 mins to get our food and drinks. The food was lovely but we didn’t enjoy it as we were too cold and uncomfortable.
Lovely when it arrived, but 40 minutes before anyone took our order and another half an hour after that to deliver our food. Also only given forks; quite difficult to eat waffles/pancakes /cookie dough without a knife to chop them up!
Overall we enjoyed it but needs to buy much better organised.
Overpriced for what we received, and table subject to an hour limit
Appears to be an inexperienced staff. Possibly short of staff to make this an totally enjoyable venue. More organization for staffing front of house and management oversight. This detracts from the overall experience and is the lasting memory. The food and menu is fine.
The food was lovely but we felt totally rushed by the waitress. She took one of our drinks away that wasn’t finished and then started taking our water away that I had only just poured!
I also went to HD the weekend before and another waitress was the same - intact she was worse - taking plates away literally as we finished the last mouthful. So rude!
Attended for a birthday celebration.... The guest whose birthday it was hadn't received his pudding... Was missed . Everyone else ate while he waited. we then said not to bother as it was too late
We waited for what felt like forever to have our order taken. We then waited again for our food, eventually our food appeared and it was worth the wait. We were given the bill and after waiting a while longer the waiter turned up with the card machine, he then said it was double what was on the bill. Transpired we’d been given the wrong bill, so we paid the higher amount and that was that, don’t know what we were charged for as we were never given our actual bill.
To summarise, the food is amazing, and if you’ve got all the time in the world and don’t mind service staff who have no idea how to do their jobs, then it’s worth a visit
Lovely birthday treat
Super indulgent, it’s a place to go for a real treat. Plenty of choice with helpful and friendly staff.
Good portion sizes.
Left with very full tummies.
Booked a table for 3, was available and ready on time. Waitress was really lovely, knew the menu and could explain desserts and drinks etc. Food and drinks arrived promptly and delicious very enjoyable visit
Went twice this week and both times the time to get our food was horrendous. Over an hour for a coffee and ice cream making. Waiting staff unorganised and kitchen staff too busy talking and messing around instead if making food. All seem to be very young kids with no real expwrience or management on show
Under staffed, took 30 mins to get a drink let alone food, when food arrived we hadnt been given cutlery the waitor said he’d go get some and never returned waited 10 mins for someone else to bring us some. As good as the food was the lack of customer service ruined it
Perfect from start to finish well done everyone will definitely be back
The server was great and very chatty and engaging. She informed us that certain items ordered would not come served in glass sundae glasses as many had been smashed leaving only 2 left in the restaurant. When they arrived they came in plastic cups poorly presented. When spending £20 on 2 desserts and a drink to receive the food this way I feel is poor and the price should have been reflected as I feel the inflated price includes how the desserts are presented to you as a customer. Given that this is a dessert restaurant and the calibre of the decor that replenishing these items would be a quick fix run ensure that customer experience is positive.
The food was good and our waitress was exceptional
Celebration for forthcoming wedding for my future daughter in law. Loved the puds we chose and the latte was good.
Amazing desserts, beautiful decor. Definitely a luxurious treat. We went twice in the week we were in York.
I went with hang friends and had a great time. The staff where lovely and we’re brilliant with dealing with my allergy’s. The food was amazing and would definitely Recommend going as it is one of the nicest desert places in York
Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning
So many options you will have to go many times just to sample everything. Decent price for the size (waffles) and was delicious.
Food was delicious and a wide range of options to try. There was some waiting for service, likely due to the the number of customers. Staff were polite and friendly.
Truly delicious desserts, staff are so friendly and the decor is so lovely!
We had a great experince at Heavenly desserts. The desserts were great, the restaurant was clean and inviting and both waitresses who served us were attentive, making the experince really pleasant.
Celebrated a friend's bday there. Staff were extremely friendly and lovely. Great choices of dessert. They went extra miles and made a bday dish. A happy day. Thanks
